Lovely staff to greet us and tell us all about the hotel and its amenities, we went to a show which was amazing, beds were so comfy , room was nice and warm too .. we had breakfast room service which was great, only €4 pp extra, breakfast was sufficient but not 5star sausages or puddings.. but I’m a chef so I always have something to say about food.

Only only issue was the toilet didn’t flush, I told the guy on the way out he was very apologetic. It worked for first flush but not after that..

Our room was lovely. We were very happy with the facilities. My meal in the restaurant was superb. I complimented the waitress on their service and the meal and she replied in jest that she was sure that there was some kind of drug in the meal because you just wanted more!! So true. Great Kopperberg cider to compliment the meal. The view from the room was superb. It overlooked the duck pond and early in the morning we saw two lovely swans on the pond.

On first arriving we found the room a little hot, but have noted this in Irish hotels. We are used to the heat, but this is mitigated by air conditioning back home. Something that maybe the Irish don't need as much as heating. We just opened the window and door and the breeze quickly blew out the heat. Problem solved.

Great location - with nice seaviews and walking distance from town. Live music in the weekend. Nice swimmingpool with free swimming hats. There was a problem with the warm water for the first day but the hotel compensated us for that.

Breakfast options were limited. There was no cheese but upon request they will get you some. The coffee at breakfast was more water than coffee. Normally, we find hotelbeds too soft but this one was too hard. And the room was warm with no option to turn temperature down.

Breakfast was really lovely....the dinners were amazing, we ate all 3 nights in the hotel , I especially loved the vegetarian and vegan options, so excellent, hard to get really good vegetarian food sometimes but the restaurants really catered so well for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. The staff were so so so friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly despite being quite busy. so impressed with the staff and service

Great location, good room good choice at breakfast..meals in restaurant were great

Just didn't find staff on arrival overly helpful..just did the basics as to where room was etc..didn't offer info about breakfast times, dining etc...similarly in restaurant in evening just basic service with no real conversation or interaction..no exceptional service here ' older' staff at breakfast were great..everything else fine

Lovely warm entrance foyer. Comfortable warm room. Great shower! Good evening meal and breakfast. Pleasant staff.

The service at the bar on arrival was not good. The bar person was inattentive and sadly lacking in any form of communication or banter. This was the only disappointing aspect of the stay. I brought it to the attention of management who said they would 'look out' for me later. There was no follow-up.

Somewhere to eat and sleep having traveled 260 miles on a trike. Room was large had a double bed and 2 singles...tea/coffee, TV all that you would expect from a 4 star hotel..free parking and a leisure complex (which we didn't get to use, as too tired. Restaurant was good and separate breakfast room, The Pottery.

Menu for dinner was okay, but not a huge choice...some options had already sold out but what we did have was good. Room overlooked air con unit, but was quiet

Very happy with our stay, just for one night so didn't get to experience everything on offer. But the room was lovely with great views (bathroom a bit of a tight squeeze, and a bit dated but nothing major). Had dinner in the bar which was lovely and great value. Breakfast was nice. The staff are absolutely super - so pleasant and helpful. They're a credit to your hotel.

It’s very much a self contained holiday resort with SPA facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was very good with generous portions and reasonably priced. Our room and bed were also very comfortable. A TV and WiFi was provided in the room. There is a pleasant garden with seating and a bar - useful on warmer nights. This backs on to a small lake and continues to a walk along the sea front. What looked like a sandy beach is about 1km away. There is a large lounge with comfortable seating. Drinks, cakes, etc., available throughout the day. There are two restaurants in use and conference facilities available. It seems popular with families, locals and as a party venue and for business meetings. Accessible for those with mobility problems in most of the hotel. One wing would prove difficult. So, it would be best to specify any specific requirements. A busy clean hotel that maintained a quality service without service delays and excess noise.

Some furnishings (e.g. corridor carpet) looked a bit tired. Some of the infrastructure (e.g. sealant around the basin and bath) was poorly finished.

The staff were amazing especially at breakfast & evening meal. The food was superb & very delicious. Reception staff also carried out requests efficiently.

The room was good, facilities good etc but areas of decor tired and damaged. Walls badly scratched in places, curtain torn, sink in bathroom hard to retain water even with plug in.
