Good location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was clean and basic, which was to be expected for the price. We also received a breakfast package as we were leaving early. Five stars. +++++

My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding so when looking for accommodations, we just wanted a place to sleep and eat. This guesthouse gave us just that and a little more. The staff are the main reason I give a high rating. They were all lovely, helpful, and accommodating. For the price, the location is great as you’re in the centre of Ballinrobe making it convenient for transport and shops. The room itself was also spacious and comfortable. We were well equipped for cozy nights in. I also love the fact that the check out time is 12pm - really helped with the post reception hangover! The restaurant is also lovely. Everything was clean and tidy. The restaurant is clearly loved by locals which is always a good sign. The food was fairly priced especially for how good it tasted and how generous the portions were.

The toilet seat was loose in our room. Not terrible as I never fell off the toilet at least!

From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The pricing was reasonable, and though we initially hesitated to stay for breakfast since it starts at 9 am, I'm so glad we did! It turned out to be the best breakfast we had on our entire trip—absolutely worth the wait. Every employee we encountered was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend The Bowers Bar and Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful stay

The only way you could lock your room door is from a key from inside for when you sleep.

Very friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was hot. Breakfast was excellent, but beware that being attached to a bar the service did not start until 9.

There was a little bit of noise from the beer garden, but it didn’t go on too late. The parking is in a public car park across the road which is paid parking. Dead cheap, but you still need to get up in time to pay in the morning before breakfast.

The location was excellent adjacent to a car park and in the centre of the town. The breakfast was good and service was excellent. All staff were very welcoming. The rooms were great value and beds were very comfortable. The restaurant below was very convenient and served very tasty and good value meals.

The only negative was the the breakfast served on Sunday was too late (after 11am) and we didn't have time for it.

Didn't wander outside as arrived late in the afternoon and was staying only one night. Atmosphere was excellent and food and service were amazing. The staff are to be commended for their professionalism .

Parking was the only issue but although you can park outside in a couple of spaces and there is a small car park across the street.

Good location in the small town. Parking right across the street. Great breakfast in the restaurant. The room itself was nicely done up with comfy bed and bedding.

The entrance to the room (which could be closed off) resembled what some other reviewers mentioned - musty/mouldy smell— perhaps this little area needs some attention too.

Nice double room above a quiet street. Breakfast is in the restaurant of the property which opened at 9am .if I had not been rushing away I would have enjoyed that. I appreciated the large bottle sparkling water and plentiful tea coffee station in the room Nice linens and plenty towels.The price was well positioned and I was happy all round even without me being able to wait for breakfast.Would book again for sure..

Nice friendly pub, good location and car park over the road. Good sized room. Very good breakfast with lots of choices, generous portions in the restaurant. Lovely friendly staff. .

Despite secondary glazing, the traffic outside was noisy in the morning, as was the snoring and chatter from the next room. Double bed had a slightly bumpy mattress, but we slept well.

Room was warm and comfortable, bed was comfortable , tea and coffee making facility was excellent . Plenty hot water in the shower. Great breakfast. Lovely bar and restaurant area. Staff were great, food served quickly and with a smile.

Informed the owner before I left so hope he takes it the right way and acts on what I said.
