Went with my two sisters and Mum to celebrate her 80th. She had lived in Killarney in her 20s and kept saying how much she wished she could go back - but she doubted she ever would now. So we made it happen. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Wonderful property, fabulous staff and our family room - which slept four was light, spacious and spotlessly clean. We didn’t want a chain for this special visit. We wanted something more personal and from communication before we arrived, to the exceptional staff that served breakfast, to the guy behind the front desk, we were made to feel special. And talking of the breakfast, it was truly spectacular! We loved the scones and the porridge particularly 🤗 Thank you for a truly memorable few days.

Everything was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Old Weir Lodge in Killarney. The guesthouse was charming, spotless, and very comfortable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our rooms were spacious and well appointed, and we especially appreciated the quality of the breakfast each morning. It was delicious and offered a great variety. We loved the cozy common rooms and spent one evening there playing games and enjoying a drink. It was a perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring. They also offer fans for the guest rooms, which we really appreciated since the room could get warm at night. The location was ideal, just a short and pleasant walk into the town center, close to shops, restaurants, and the entrance to Killarney National Park. Parking was easy and convenient, which made coming and going stress free.

The staff was wonderful, the triple-room was ample for 3 people, and the breakfast was outstanding. There were restaurants and a convenience store/gas station within 200 yards. We needed to do some laundry and found a small laundromat at the convenience store.

The downside of this property was a lack of air-conditioning, It was not a good choice for late July, when the temperatures were high. It was not a real problem for us, but it is a good 15-minute walk to the main shopping and restaurant area. That can be a positive as well as a negative.

Lodge was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and friendly! The location was right on the Kerry Ring road. Rooms were very spacious and beautiful. Best rooms we stayed in during our 2 week stay. Staff was helpful and booked taxies and reservations for us. Breakfast Staff was absolutely wonderful and sweet. Full-size bathrooms and comfortable beds. They had an ice machine! Nice common spaces to gather with family. Would love to visit again..

We liked everything.

We had a lovely and chilled out week at the Old Weir Lodge. Staff were fantastic, very friendly reception. A big shout out to the lovely ladies at Breakfast, they were fabulous, always cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast itself was great, lots of choice. Location was great, only 10 mins walk into town and there were a few places to eat & drink nearby. It was easy to explore from there. Ross Castle 5-10 mins drive. There is a small park nearby, by the river, great for a walk. Room was lovely and very clean everyday. Very comfy bed. Free parking. We will definitely be back.

Well what a wonderful place to be. The staff are incredible and really friendly. Linda at the front desk was just the best person to meet and greet. She made us really comfortable and gave such great recommendations- it was like chatting with a friend!Breakfast was delightful and you were so thoroughly looked after by the lovely serving staff.Totally relaxing vibe in every way.Would definitely return and have already recommended it to others.

Nothing loved everything

Conveniently located with a short walk to the center of town. The staff was friendly and gave great advice on sightseeing locations. Complementary breakfast was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond for our daughter who needed to take exam exams, first first thing in the morning by supplying her with a private room with Internet service and took the time to deliver her coffee while she studied.

There is nothing to not love about this bed-and-breakfast.

Everything was great - especially the amazing breakfast! They really had everything on the buffet, and also had a full cooked to order breakfast, which was all included. We ate very well! We had a 5pm train booked on checkout day and they stored our luggage all afternoon for us so we could go to town. It was quite rainy, so we just went to lunch, but were able to come back to the hotel and relax in the lounge area while awaiting our departure. It was very comfortable for us all. Short walk to town, and close to the entrance to the park too. About 10 minutes either way.

The staff at Old Weir were wonderful. We enjoyed our large family room - plenty of space for us and our two adult kids. Beds were very comfortable and the shower and bathroom were generous. We enjoyed our breakfasts each morning - the selection was excellent. Walkable to all the downtown Killarney restaurants and shops as well as Kilarney House and Gardens.

We wish we could have stayed longer. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the lounge rooms.

The Old Weir Lodge is a charming, well-run facility with a very friendly front desk staff and helpful restaurant staff. It is walkable from the center of town and is definitely one of the better options for a Killarney stay. The front desk staff gave us a lot of helpful tips and information about the area and attractions. Breakfast options were good. The room was very spacious and the shower water pressure was excellent. Plenty of parking in front and back of the building.

The room carpet could use a spruce and deep cleaning. Bathroom needs an exhaust fan.
