This is the best little family run hotel with the friendliest welcome, the staff were without exception so nice and couldn't do enough for us, we felt so relaxed and at home. The breakfast was lovely.

Overall, this was an excellent stay in a one of a kind location. The room itself was well-sized, and comfortable, and there were lots of amenities provided, with more being easily available if needed. All of the meals taken in the hotel's restaurant and bar were excellent, including the breakfast which was included in the price of the stay. Staff were excellent, being incredibly friendly and generous, adding to the relaxing feel of the stay. The hotel is incredibly well located to the harbour, allowing you to arrive and check in within seconds, also assisting with departure. More generally, the location of the hotel is very good, allowing easy access to both ends of the island!
If we were being particularly picky, some aspects of the room could benefit from an update, however, given the remote location of the property, everything still exceeded expectation!

vegetarian breakfast possible and very good. i've been to Tory many times, starting in early 80s when there was only private accommodation, no hotel/club/shop, etc. but this was only my 2nd time at Ostán Oileán Thoraí. i knew: no internet, only roaming, but there are so many better things to do anyway. rooms are big and very comfortable and perfect shelter even if the weather is 'bad' (although on Tory there is no such thing as bad weather...). not everything works always as well as on the mainland, but if you're on a storm-tossed little island in the middle of the atlantic, your expectations must adjust a little. and they are doing a GREAT job in the hotel!
after (excellent) breakfast the choice of vegetarian food was somewhat limited; i think the concept hasn't really taken hold. but then there's always An Club up the road to get a pizza or veggie burger. and it's always a good idea to bring something to tie you over if you sit far away in the cliffs for hours on end (as neither Oyster Catchers nor Herring Gulls provide any veggie food....)

After a fantastically dramatic Ferry Crossing,we all trooped off and walked the few steps up to the Hotel.Great, friendly welcome,as the ferry is weather dependent we all rocked up early but the mood was buoyant ,so we walked the island whilst the room was getting ready.Beds comfy, double and a single bed, clean ,tea, coffee available. We had dinner and I found the price reasonable..Starter and 2 mains and 2 drinks £45. The staff are lovely just decent ,friendly people which is what you want on holiday. If you are up for walking the scenery is stunning so make use of the Island and there is a hot cup of tea ready when you get back. Our return ferry was brought forward once again due to the weather,so a Full Irish Breakfast was there for us before we battled the elements.Apologies I never got the lovely Scottish Man who was our hotel staff this morning.Breakfast was gorgeous, craic was good and the mood before the imminent storm was buoyant. I loved the Hotel,I loved the Island,I loved the views,I snuck out at midnight to Tey n see the Sturgeon Moon and it didn't disappoint..Thank you Tory.
I think it would be unfair to say I didn't like this BUT be aware of the weather, ferry times can change or be cancelled so check ahead to avoid disappointment.

We just loved everything about our stay on Tory Island. The hotel staff were so friendly, the food was good, the island was out of this world. Felt like good old-fashioned hospitality at its finest. You won't regret a stay here.
I couldn't fault anything - how anyone lives, let alone runs a business, out on the island is very impressive.

Thanks millions to everyone in this lovely hotel and, on Tory island. I really enjoyed my stay on this island, belonging to Ireland and, where you meet interesting people from all over the world. Hotel itself - including staff - is superb, food is excellent - huge portions looking like one is served for a full week - for each meal and, it's excellent food 💓 Room very clean and quiet - I slept like a baby - until the corncrake decided I had to get up in the mornings and, started singing just outside my window... Thanks again to everyone in Tory and, please ask the whales, dolphins, sharks and not least all the puffins, to be home next time I visit.. 🤗🤗🤗💖💓💖
I liked it all - a perfect place away from the city...will come back again!!

Great location near the pier on a beautiful , easy to explore Island .. Comfortable room/ bed Very warm welcome . Staff are super friendly and helpful….up there with the friendliest in the world !
Sorry there was no live music in the hotel during our stay … perhaps that was because there was an imminent storm which cut off the island from the mainland as we left .

The hotel was very homely. Bedrooms were spacious and warm with comfy beds. Staff were super friendly. Big portions of food, highly recommend the garlic mushrooms and cheese burger. The view was spectacular. The hotel is dog friendly and really accomadated us. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but food can be eaten in the pub, lobby or outdoor area with dog in tow. Great entertainment both nights as there was a festival on. The hotel is right by the pier. The locals are really friendly and welcoming.
Shower heat was really hard to regulate.
