We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Immaculate! Great location if you don’t have a car. Beautiful cafe/restaurant downstairs is very handy. Pool area clean and modern. Artspace and shopping centre were all within a short walking distance.

The hotel was on a pretty busy road and you can hear the traffic and birds in the morning. Not so good for light sleepers. The apartment we stayed in was facing a childcare across the road. The spa and the pool are not heated, so if staying during winter months, the water was very cold! The reception staff upon arrival was very tired and not very welcoming- but that’s a minor thing as we did arrive ~9 pm.

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment. Fantastic sofa and living room area! Super comfortable beds. Fabulous kitchen! Great location not far from Sugarland (walking distance). Soft towels. Friendly and discreet staff. Lovely restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was included and was yum! We also had dinner from there too. Excellent staff in the restaurant. Paid onsite parking for $5 a day - great deal.

Just a heads up for anyone more short and / or mature aged who books the 2 bedroom. I had a slip and fall accident getting out of the “shower over bath” shower. It’s just a little too much of a step out and down if you’re 5ft 4 and an older person (I’m 55 and not as flexible as I used to be lol). For taller people it would be no problem I think. It hasn’t put me off booking this apartment again in the future, but I thought it was necessary info to include The ensuite shower is walk in and perfectly great!

The room was clean and in a good location with secure parking.

The receptionist gave us a key to the wrong room and we opened a door to what looked like a permanent tenants unit, it was very messy & smelly and could have been very embarrassing if the owner had been inside at the time. The receptionist didnt seem at all concerned when I told her, she just rekeyed the card and said there you do. The restaurant was closed for the Easter break, which meant no breakfast on check out day. the room could have had an arm chair in it, there was plenty of room and would have made it more comfortable for a couple staying.

have stayed at Oaks Mackay a couple times now, will be a returning customer for a while to come yet. facilities are great. room service is quick, efficient and food is always beyond expectations. prime location, in walking distance of many great places. rooms are always clean on arrival, front desk ladies are always so kind and accommodating.

flying from the sunshine coast, requested an early check in (12pm) as i had an early flight, as to got approved. only when i got there i had to wait past check in time and sat in lobby for hours. staff were lovely and accommodating the best they could. just wish it were communicated better

The room was clean and tidy. The view from the room was of the river. Great!! Location was in walking distance to Cane shopping centre and to Blue Water Quay. The bed was comfy and the bathroom very clean. The restaurant was fantastic. The food and service was great!!

I thought the room had a balcony, but I didn't read when I made the booking. Even though, my partner and I were on the eighth floor I could still here the traffic noise. Not good!!! The air extractor made a loud noise when it was on. Fans should be still in hotels because I don't like having the air con. going all night, as I am not used to it.

The overall all experience was very good. I will be booking to stay here again in the future. The facilities were exceptional and the bed was very comfortable. The room service food was also very good and was very good value for money.

Nothing. Every was to my liking and as I said previously, I will be booking to stay here again in the not too distant future. I would also recommend staying at this accommodation to family and friends travelling into Mackay.

Large functional room which was absolutely immaculate - there wasn’t a spec of dirt or dust anywhere. Beds were very comfortable, great bathrooms and plenty of secure undercover parking. Will definitely stay again

Everything was exceptional for the price point. If I had to be picky it was a bit difficult to keep the air conditioning at a controlled temperature but it certainly didn’t have that great of an impact on our stay

The surroundings around the pool were untidy and requires a lot of TLC. Don’t order the calamari at the restaurant - disgusting. Everything else in the restaurant was just fine.

Comfy beds great location, secure parking.

WiFi is not great, slow as. even when you sign up. In this day and age having to pay for WiFi is not right. I had to hotspot using my mobile if I wanted to actually get any work done. I will consider staying elsewhere just because of this issue.
