Unhappy that there was a charge of 25 dollars for the wi-fi. And an additional charge of 30 dollars for parking. Then having to wheel luggage from the parking area across a road and round to the side entrance of the hotel. As every other hotel that I stayed in it was complimentary.

This is a well maintained historic hotel that I’ve always wanted to visit. It doesn’t disappoint- the property is gorgeous and the staff is friendly.

Booking dot com is not clear about this- at least I didn’t see it - there is an additional resort fee of $25 and parking is $30.

All of the staff and employees we came across were very pleasant.

Self parking was close but it was an extra charge. If you’re going to have a resort fee, it should include parking to stay at your facility. $50-$60 a day to get there and park your vehicle and take a dip in the pool, you already have, seems a little excessive.

This was our 2nd time staying here for the Festival of Lights and Mission Inn restaurant staff has always been A++. This time we came with friends, made reservations with the Mission Inn restaurant for dinner and had to change our reservation, staff and manager was very understanding and was able to accomodate our changes and our party. All restaurant staff and management was AWESOME! AND this was during peak holiday season as well.

Our room was comfortable and clean but we heard people running back and forth all night above us. Employee that was checking us in seemed distracted and was not very friendly. Asked her for some recommendations for dining and was giving recs but was not friendly, very monotone, did make eye contact but I don't remember seeing a smile at all.

The overall hotel design & history. SO much culture in the look & feel of it all. Felt like I was whisked away to a classic European country, accented with a healthy dose of opulence, style, and 5-star customer service.

The Noise. Old landmarks tend to lack the fortified insulation of most modern properties.. and it showed. Slammed doors, working staff, clamoring neighbors, & revving street traffic create such a disruption, making it feel less like extravagant quarters and more like a college dorm; at least for the 1st floor rooms. Perhaps the higher floors are quieter. And then there's the "standard" fee after fee, after everloving fee; one of which being daily (*sigh). But I digress.

EVERY member of the hotel staff greeted us with a smile. Our room (261) was in the oldest section. It had the most interesting architecture and stained glass in the windows. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. We especially appreciated our dinner waiter, Hector, who joyfully catered to our 2 year old grandson. At breakfast we were pampered by Yohannes. The tile and copper work in the restaurant is beautiful. The walking tour is fabulous and includes the "catacombs" in the basement. James, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the hotel.

Our mattress was very comfortable, but with the box spring it was quite high and a challenge to get into with arthritic knees.

Spectacular building and comfortable accommodations. I stayed here as it looked comfortable and the price was great. I couldn't believe how interesting the building was. I walked around for over an hour the first night and about an hour total over the next few nights finding new things each time. So many places to take pictures within the walls of the hotel. Accommodations were comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly, and the location is close to restaurants and major roads.

Really can't think of anything. Such a neat place. It's one of my favorite hotel stays ever.

The Mission Inn is a truly stunning property — from its historic architecture and lush, flower-filled grounds to the peaceful pool area and overall cleanliness, it feels like a five-star resort. You could easily spend hours just exploring. That said, the service doesn’t quite match the setting; staff aren’t particularly warm or attentive, and little details like room service trays left in the hallway all day detract from the experience. But to be fair, you’re also not paying Four Seasons prices — it’s quite affordable for what you get, and in that sense, it delivers great value. Just go in knowing it’s more about the atmosphere than the service.

I love the hotel itself. History is our thing and it is absolutely beautiful with excellent service. OMG the robes, I almost forgot about the robes. They are so luxurious and it's free to wear them while being at the hotel. They are for sale but pricey. Aaa, someday.......

Well, I couldn't truly complain, but I thought I had booked a larger room and we were given a room that overlooked the businesses on the pedestrian street. (still not a bad gig since there were sidewalk musicians doing their thing the night we arrived.) When we wandered around to look at the hotel (which truly is my favorite part), I noticed LOTS of rooms that were not booked (and yes they were fabulous) and had interior courtyard views and outdoor walkway accesses. (I really don't like a hallway being my only exit from any establishment.) I will make sure that I contact the hotel directly the next time I want to stay to arrange for the RIGHT room. They are worth returning for again and again, to try them out.

My mother and I venture here every New Year’s Eve and we stay a couple of days and it’s heaven on earth. I had to work, as I am in service as well all the mandatory holidays this year. So I could not attend New Year’s. My birthday, however, is 7 January, so I booked a couple of nights knowing that the lights are final on 6 January. We pulled in that night. My mom got very ill. We had an amazing time she left for the hospital this morning. What I need to say to you is your Security treated her like gold. The spa treated me like gold. Your restaurants, your servers, your hospitality, your front desk people every single being in your realm treats the patrons like gold. I love your establishment. I love what you do Duane and Kelly, I had one of the best birthday dinners ever at Duane’s the night before we left and Mom is stable at the hospital, and we will return. Because that’s what we have to do .
