A convenient location of the hotel was very handy - just a 10 min walk to the city centre, train station and a 15 min ride to the BGY Airport. The breakfast was amazing - big selection of deliciously prepared food. It filled us up for the rest of the day. We especially liked the variety of sweet and savoury dishes - whether you prefer croissant or bacon and eggs for breakfast you will find the option that satisfies your preferences. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and neat. Also, it was very kind of the staff to present the guests with a bottle of prosecco and a card on the New Year’s eve! A small but sweet gesture. Thank you Hotel Citta Dei Mille!

It would be nice to have a small kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.

A huge THANK YOU, to the helpfull staff, especially Mr. Giovanni at reception. I really liked the touch up of all the first impression which was a complimentary gift as a welcome in our room, since ive had my Bday during a stay! :) The hotel was warm, and lovely. Even tho, i would prefer more fresh vegetables, more variations of vegetables, fruits, and cheese at the breakfast. Also would love diff types of salami, tuna maybe, or some kind of spreads :) I really missed this in the morning, otherwise the whole experience was AMAZING. We loved the city, Città alta stole my heart, definitely would come back to this hotel 🤍💚❤️

It was easy to find our hotel. The hotel was in a quiet area. It wasn't far from the railway station. Our room was very spacious and quiet. Our bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed. There were no issues with the bathroom. The receptionist was very welcoming and he was able to recommend a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. We liked the lounge area and it was good to have a bar available. The breakfast was excellent and the staff on duty couldn't have been more helpful.

It wasn't easy to have WiFi from our room

From the lovely welcome at reception through to my check out, my whole stay here was perfect. The room was well laid out with a mini bar and good television. The whole hotel is very beautiful - check out the lobby area! The breakfast was perfect for me - hot sausage and egg, doughnut and fruit salad with plenty of coffee on hand. The manager and his staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend Citta dei Mille for a stay in Bergamo.

Just bear in mind, its a little out of the centre, so is a 15-20 min walk away from both the train station and to the main street Papa Giovanni that leads to Citta Alta. If you like walking (as I do) then no problem and it's easy for an Uber or Bolt.

This hotel was super clean and we loved that it was traditional. The mini bar in the room was very convenient for us because we arrived on a late flight and didn’t stop for water etc. The prices were great for a hotel. The cheapest I’ve seen. Would definitely return. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. Something for everyone’s tastes. We didn’t need to eat anything until later in the evening.

Only one gripe…. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Maybe it’s just me !!! But I do enjoy a cuppa whilst getting ready to face the world. It may not bother others though because there is a good supply when down at breakfast.

Breakfast was good for starting the day. Rooms were clean and big. Location was perfect. Hotel has a parking and the area with restaurants is 5-7 minutes on foot. Highway is close to location. We were on our way to France and we stayed only for one night. In the morning we spent 3 hours visiting the old town and then we continued our way to France. There is a petrol station just across the hotel. Be aware that in Italy you can take petrol self-service or to be served for a fee. About 0.2 EUR per litter.

Friendly, 24h reception. Easy check-in. My room was ready slightly earlier than expected, with no additional cost. This hotel is very pretty, the room and bathroom were nice, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Very close to the airport.

I was checking out early, before the breakfast buffet usually starts. I asked several people multiple times if I could get a packed breakfast or a snack to go. I even emailed them twice about it. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem, and that I could get a croissant. However, after all that, I was only offered a coffee (which was nice, but not what I expected). I suffer from strong car sickness, especially when traveling on an empty stomach. Had I been informed in advance, I would have bought myself a snack for the morning.

The rooms were small but comfortable, except for the bathroom, which was not convenient. The staff was always available and helpful. Breakfast was nice, with a good variety.

The bathroom had a small tub where you had to stand to take a shower, but it was too small to use comfortably either as a tub or for showering. On top of that, hot and cold water came from separate taps, making it hard to get the right temperature.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The hotel also has a great character, with different colours of rooms, and antique appearance of reception area with memorabilia around. Easy to get into the city centre by bus. Breakfast was good.

Not super central, so quite a walk to the nearest restaurants. Also having to give in passport at check-in - particularly when it’s quiet, they could just make photocopy there and then, instead of keeping it for a couple of hours?

The location was perfect for me to go to shops, restaurants, to see my friends who lives there, and of course to explore the city and walk to Citta Alta. The room was clean and has the essentials what I need. Also, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. This must my choice if the next time I visit again.

The only thing that would have been better if the room could be a bit brighter, because the lights were quite dim at the nighttime. I think because it was very quiet so I could hear the next room or the rooms that's near mine open and close their electric curtain.
