I chose the Starhotels Cristallo Palace for its excellent location between the airport (3.3 km/46 minutes walk southeast) and the old town (3.5 km/47 minutes northwest). Despite the fact that you can check in from 3 p.m., my room was ready 2 hours earlier. I didn't even meet the check-out time, which is between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. I had to be at the airport in the morning, so I checked out before 10 a.m. The receptionist was also very nice and spoke good English. I was accommodated in a Classic single room with a private bathroom with a shower. The essential room equipment was air conditioning. From the room I had a view of the city, and when I leaned out the window slightly, also of the old town. Breakfast is served buffet style. What I liked most was the daily selection of 4 different types of sweet croissants.

I would have appreciated an electric kettle in the room for making coffee and tea. I paid the city tax directly on the spot.

The hotel has a good location – just a 10-minute bus ride to the city center and about 10 minutes by bus to the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a large bed. The staff were very polite and welcoming. They even offered us an earlier chek-in because we arrived a lot earlier. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

When we made the reservation, it clearly stated that the final price included taxes and fees. However, upon check-in we were told that we had to pay an additional tourist tax. In other hotels we’ve stayed at, whenever the tourist tax is not included, it is always mentioned separately in advance, along with the exact amount to be paid on site. Unfortunately, in this case it was not disclosed, and we were unexpectedly charged extra at reception. Another downside is that the hotel does not have balconies. Since we were on the top floor, it was inconvenient to go all the way down every time we wanted to smoke.

The hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport and a 20min walk to the train station. The reception had a really lovely aroma and the night staff were very friendly and helpful during check in. The room was upgraded for free which was super lovely. We were on level 7 and had a great view of the electrical storm over the old city. The extra large bed was very comfortable and pillow menu excellent. The facilities included tea and coffee in the room and a mini bar. There were dressing gowns and a safe. Check out was easy and the reception staff again lovely and helpful.

This hotel is perfect if you need to catch an early morning flight! They offer a wide variety of breakfast options. There’s also a bike rental next to the hotel (not offered by the hotel but the Bergamo city), which is great for visiting the Bergamo city centre or even Citta Alta.

The hotel is large, which means there were always long queues for the coffee machine (not surprising, as the coffee was delicious!). It’s perfect for people travelling to or from the airport, but if you’re planning to visit Bergamo, it might be a bit of a trek. You should definitely consider renting a bike for €1 for 30 minutes.

The location is excellent if you're flying in or out of Bergamo - just a 5-minute drive from the airport, with free parking nearby. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the city center, but we chose to take the bus, which was easy and convenient. The room was a bit outdated, but very clean, so it was perfectly fine for a short stay. Breakfast was also good, with a nice selection.

We booked two rooms, one of them with a twin bed option. However, when we arrived, we were told the hotel was fully booked and only rooms with queen-size beds were available. We asked for a second blanket as a workaround, but unfortunately, it never arrived.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The reception staff was very nice and helpful. We were able to check in at 10:30 am. There are lots of leaflets about the city and bus connections at the reception. The hotel lobby was beautiful. The room was clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. There was a large wardrobe, lamps, a minibar for a fee, a TV and a large mirror. The bathroom had towels, shower cosmetics and a hairdryer. The hotel offers breakfast, which we did not use due to an early morning departure. The hotel is located near the airport, so noise is to be expected. We were satisfied with our stay.

The room met my needs for my stay, the breakfast was wholesome and varied, the location of the hotel is ideally placed for the airport as well as bus access to the train station and the city centre, the colleagues at the hotel were extremely, warm welcoming and helpful. The hotel even has a gym/fitness studio but I did not utilise this unfortunately.

There was some damage to the bathroom i.e. tiles in the bathroom. Apart from that there was nothing I could fault that can't be rectified easily and quickly.

The hotel is a big one, with a big parking in front. Our room was clean, very warm and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, ready to answer our questions and help us.

It's not that I don't like it, it's just something that left a bitter taste. The hotel accepts animals and even welcomes you with a card especially made for your pet which says "You are very important pet". However, along with it goes an A4 list of rules your pet needs to follow. Some of them are understandable like no free-roaming animals in the hotel. Others however are quite weird, like "Leave your pet inside a cage when you go out of the room". To me, this isn't in keeping with the spirit of the "Pets are welcome" card. Especially considering the 25 EUR fee.

I spent there only one night after getting late to the airport on my way to Mediolan. The hotel was old but there was all I needed: quiet due to think walls, spacious (old type of the hotels), comfortable huge bed and it was very clean. Stuff was available 24/7 and very helpful - I needed to borrow a charger without any problem. They guided me to find the right bus the next day. The photos and description were real this is why I give it a 10 (not because it is the best hotel in the world). It met my expectations.

Near the airport. Very comfortable room and beds. Welcoming staffs at the reception. Rooms are up to date. They have bfast buffet but we didn't book this cause we have an early flight the next day. Will definitely book again if I go to Bergamo

Just for an additional info: Taking a bus to the airport is of course possible! early morning would require 15 mins walk to the nearest bus stop while late night starting 9pm is only 5 mins walk from the hotel. With a big luggages would probably better to take a taxi from here since airport is just few kms away :)
