My family and I had a wonderful stay at B&B Monte Donato. The accommodation is in a beautifully renovated old house that perfectly preserves its historic charm while providing all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. I chose this place because I wanted to experience a real Italian atmosphere, and I believed it was the right choice. The hosts were amazing—warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, always ready to help and share local tips. Their hospitality made our stay even more special, and we are truly grateful for their kindness. We arrived as guests but left as friends, which speaks to how wonderful they are. The location is also a great advantage. It’s outside the city center, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment while still being well-connected. A bus station is right next to the house, making it easy to reach the city, and a charming trattoria is nearby, where we enjoyed delicious Italian food. If you’re looking for an authentic and charming stay in Italy, I highly recommend B&B Monte Donato. We had an unforgettable experience and would love to return! Greetings from Bulgaria!!!

I loved the hospitality of Gianfranco and his family. The room is spacious and comfortable, surrounded by greenery and many plants. It's very quiet, so you can sleep really well. Simone explained where to park the car and how to get to the city center through a beautiful and pleasant park. The breakfast is delicious. We had time to talk with Gianfranco and his wife, who are musicians and even gave us a CD!

What a pleasure to share Alice and Gianfranco’s space for a few days! Such a lovely family and a relaxed base for our excursions into Bologna and the surrounding hills, and so nice to have the feeling of being in a home with stories and character and not in a sterile room. Homemade jams and cake to start the days too - just great! We hope to stop by again and share more friendly conversations with this kind family! ** With bicycles you can roll down into Bologna in 5-10 minutes, or catch the hourly bus down the hill from outside the front door. If you don’t mind walking, it’s a relaxed 50 minutes to the centre of the city. Heading back home at the end of the day means going back up the hill, so it’s perhaps better if you have a car or don’t mind walking/cycling a bit. In any case, you will appreciate the quiet on the hillside and the views over the city. And if you don’t feel like heading too far away after a long day on your feet, the Trattoria next door is a reliable stop for dinner! PS, if you like music, ask about Alice Tambourine Lover ;).

There is Restaurant Trattio Monte Donato. İt is so close, so noisy. The night was terrible. We were not able to sleep. There was no air conditioning.
