The breakfast was great since it was the perfect amount of food with a very nice variety including fresh fruit. I liked that fact that when we let ourselves into the villa, it was a welcoming cool (since it was an extremely hot day) and there was soft music playing, almost like someone was welcoming us into their home. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was spacious as well. As well, the villa has a spectacular round window in the main room in the front of the house which overlooks the surroundings of forest and other beautiful villas which dot the background. I also like the fact that there is a city bus stop right outside on the main street that takes you directly into the centre of Bologna otherwise it is a short 20-30 minute walk.

We were a little concerned about the parking spot for our vehicle but when we got there, a parking spot was available for us. The owner was helpful in assisting us with getting our vehicle out.

Beautiful house, room was very big, comfy bed, nice chairs and spacious bathroom. Nice setting close to the park and quiet. Helpful host who helped us book a hard to get dinner reservation and a cab to the station. Breakfast light but tasty. Once realised would be all key code access, was very easy to come and go and no key card to loose.

Few small touches would make it even better - thin plastic cups not very nice or green and weren’t replenished, hooks needed in bathroom and would be amazing if had a few things you can borrow - picnic blanket for park days or playing cards.

Amazing old villa style building with interesting 30's to 60's furniture and design. The bedroom was very comfortable with a fabulous big bathroom. Staff were helpful and attentive

Parking must be reserved at this property as there are only 2 slots and its on a very difficult tight hill with stoned walls. Breakfast was extremely average. Be aware is a 30 min walk into town with a decent hill on the way back

Absolutely stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Just a short walk (20 mins) uphill from the centre in a lovely neighbourhood. The hotel has an amazing lobby and breakfast area. The rooms are really tastefully furnished and have comfy beds. Excellent value for money as the stay also includes a tasty breakfast.

There was no soundproofing between the downstairs and upstairs (which I think might be separate apartments). It was a bit noisy at times but didn’t impact our stay much. It’s self check-in so you communicate via WhatsApp and use a code to come and go.

The room was large and very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and had everything we needed. The property is on the hill in a beautiful scenic setting, away from the bustle of the city, with amazing walks and views all nearby. The host was gracious and very helpful.

It was a little hard to find, but our host came down to help us find the driveway and helped park our car. I wouldn’t want to try to find it after dark.

All facilities are very generic No bathrobes, no sleepers 4 old hangers for all your clothes, closet has only one open part - the rest are closed. Closet covered with old reared paper. No cosmetics - just liquid soap of poor quality No laundry service Would be very nice to add some stylish touches to the stay - as nice cosmetics, fluffy bathrobe and comfortable sleepers.

Tastefully and lovingly restored period property, a unique stay. Clean and comfortable room, lovely breakfast and it was a nice location, not too far from the the city centre. Our host booked us a taxi when we left, and helped us with our bags. I liked all the vintage furniture and decorative touches. I would definitely stay again, it was a lovely calm ambience.

We had the most incredible stay at villa gotti! It was the highlight of our trip. The architecture and interior was something we’d never seen before, it was so beautiful. Joseph was the most amazing host and we are so grateful to have met him. He was so accommodating and friendly. We really could not have expected how wonderful our stay was. Bologna is the most beautiful place we have travelled to so far in Italy. We will be booking another trip soon!

Great customer service and attentiveness. Communication was excellent, and we were very well taken care of. The room was very comfy, and the daily breakfast was simple but plenty. The hotel is just outside the city walls but still close enough to walk to great restaurants, so you're guaranteed a good night's rest from any busy areas.

Beautiful spacious art deco villa with lovely features and an interesting history. Very peaceful. Generous sized bedroom and bathroom (plus bath), and a very good breakfast. The host was extremely welcoming and we appreciated his list of local restaurant recommendations. The villa is easy to get to by bus from the station - the number 30 bus stops right outside. The villa is a short walk to the centre of Bologna, and another short walk to the monastery of San Michele in Bosco from where there are lovely views of Bologna.
