The staff is amazing. I was in contact with 2 different people prior to arrival for logistic questions and got my answer in a few minutes. On late night arrival we were welcomed with a great smile and 30 seconds check in. Not only that, the staff found time to help us book a taxi for the early morning after. I would really recommend this place in case of early flights from Marconi airport. In addition, if you want to save some money and are open to walk to the city center I would strongly consider this hotel instead of other overrated expensive places in the city center. Nothing really

This hotel proves that it has 3 stars! The staff is very helpful, my room was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. I booked a room without breakfast, and the hotel left 2 bottles of water and 2 snacks for me for free. Big Esselunga supermarket is within 5 minutes of walking distance, and the a stop is in front of this Esselunga. The location is good if you want to stay closer to the airport, or you can take a bus and in 20-25 minutes be at the central railway station. Also I was pleasantly surprised by a little present that the hotel staff left for me on the New Year's Eve and a bookcrossing shelf on my floor.

It was very warm in my room. I had to turn the radiator off, but the temperature still wasn't dropping lower than 21 degrees. Also it is quite noisy when you open the window, but it's not critical.

Hotel has very good infrastructure, rooms are nice, clean and modern. Lounge area is spacious and breakfast is well served. They even have bikes for guests to ride. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel is located between two major streets, so they have double windows to cope with the noise. Unfortunately it is not enough since there is a hospital nearby, so there are loud ambulances passing all the time. There is also a landing point for helicopters like 100 meters away, so it is another source of noise. We were on the 8th floor (highest) and could still hear. Did manage to get a nice night of sleep with ear plugs.

Hotel Maggiore went beyond my expectations for a 3 star hotel. The room had a walk in closet, a pants press, a tea kettle, a heated towel rack and a bidet, and the staff were excellent. When I checked in, the lady booked a taxi for us for the next morning. When I checked out the staff was very pleasant at 4 in the morning. The shower was kind of funky and it was near a noisy street, so you will probably need ear plugs, but the sink was the largest I have experienced in Europe and the shower was warm and I slept well (with my ear plugs). All in all, a great hotel for the price and location. My room had a sliding door and a balcony, which was a bonus even though I wasn't able to use it.

The lift went to the lobby floor but the door was locked (the staff member came and opened it for me though).

The staff were friendly and helpful; the room was clean and well-appointed; the breakfast outrageously good and varied; the rooms were thoroughly serviced each day. This is a good, modern, and efficient hotel and I'd stay again. I AM staying again!

Well I suppose the hotel is in a bit of an urban jungle, not far from the airport and near the hospital so you have the sound of planes overhead and sirens below but then ready access to those facilities could be another strength of this place! Anyway, you get used to this and it doesn't go on all night. It's a little way out from the centre but readily connected via the 23 bus which leaves/returns just around the corner and only takes 10-15mins.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. It is now my go-to place in Bologna. It really is everything a comfortable and well-run mid-range hotel should be: the rooms are clean and well-appointed; the staff are polite and helpful; the breakfast is extensive and varied. Close to the hotel there is a vast supermarket and two great Trattorias; there are bus stops serving the town centre.

It's situated in a bit of a concrete/urban jungle and not exactly central but well-placed if you're coming from the airport. The area is a bit frenetic with traffic but there is close and easy access to buses serving the city centre, train station, etc.

Free parking onsite, good neighbourhood, extensive breakfast, recently refurbished room, close to some restaurants and supermarkets. About 10-12 minute drive to cities edge on a main arterial. Bikes for rent if needed. Staff were great and had fairly good English

Bed was quite firm, lounge downstairs was busy at times so hard to work if you’re there to do that (due to the echo and people talking). Could use a wifi mesh repeater to get better internet speeds upstairs compared to the lounge where it was fast

Everything about this hotel was great! I already wrote one review but I will definitely write another. Can’t say enough how good and satisfied we were with this hotel. The location, the staff, the room and little details inside the room. They offer a free private parking spot in front of the hotel which is very important while traveling in Italy considering that it is not safe to park your car just on the streets with no surveillance. The hotel is very near to the bus station and the ride to the center is just 15minutes. We were first staying 3 nights and then decided to extend one more since it was such a good place.

Very large room with big bathroom and bath. High ceilings are remarkably clean. Walk in closet and safe that functioned well. There was also a FREE mini bar with water and some some snacks to take and coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was very tasty and with a large selection. Fresh fruit was great, pasty and cakes as well as hot food and very nice cold cuts of local meat. Proper coffee too.

Nothing. It was flawless.

This hotel was okay for a 1 night stay. It seemed to be off the beaten path. The air conditioning was typical European, not adequate for an American. Everything was clean. The staff was very nice. We could hear sirens a few times during the night because we had the balcony door open to get some cool, fresh air. If I was staying more than 1 night I would find a hotel closer to the attractions.
