Though hard to visualize, the room was in a two story building erected in the middle of an apartment building courtyard with a garden and magnolia trees. This created total privacy, eliminated street noise and felt like a small oasis. Our hosts were very helpful, warm and kind making the experience feel more like a family visit rather than a rental arrangement. Breakfast was very good, our room size was more than adequate and comfortable with its own small balcony and sitting area. The location was close to the historic center, always felt safe and had many options for coffee, restaurants and other local stores.

Nothing negative to share. Note that street parking requires some searching so it is highly recommended to ask for a parking spot to be reserved at the property.

What a cozy apartment just a little far away of the hustle and bustle of the center.. Very clean and comfortable place.. feels like home. Very quiet place to calm and sleep. The owners were very kind and warm hearted and we enjoyed every minute spent with them. The homemade breakfasts were superb! Plus Margo the sweet dog and Leonardo the sweet baby, made our mornings super! Thank you all

The room and bathroom were immaculate, as was the breakfast room. The bathroom was spotless and gave the appearance of being brand new. The bed was very comfortable and a decent sized room. About a 10 minute walk to the centre but also on the bus route too. Franca, the owner, was very friendly and helpful with advice regards buses, travel and where to go in Bologna. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever return to Bologna

There was nothing I didn't like. I'd recommend this b&b to all.

The hosts, Franca and Sara, were warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They really did go the extra mile, and booked their favourite restaurants for us, helped with recommendations of where to visit, and even booked our taxi to the airport at the end. The B&B felt very secure. The location was great too. We would highly recommend this property.

Nothing we didn't like. We would have liked to have had a safe to leave our passports in, but now that we've stayed there, we feel it would actually have been fine to leave valuables in the room.

Everything was wonderful, hands down the best place to be in Bologna! We'll never forget the kindness of the hosts, Sara & Franca who were very helpful with us The breakfasts were delicious with a broad variety of choice: homemade cakes, fresh bread and juices, viennoiseries... The place is very quiet, at night we hadn't been bothered by noise. Last but not least: the location is the perfect happy medium between being in a quiet local place and not far from the touristy centre easily reachable walking. We'll come back for sure! The "hotel" is family owned and the staff is members of the family, so the environment is very friendly. Before I even arrived they were very helpful by providing me information on how to get there.

My room was on the ground floor and the windows of my room didn't have good shutters, so I didn't feel fully private. I'm expecting that in every other room this should be very different.

Exceptional clean place- fantastic! Great, typical Italian, sweet breakfast, with options for a specific diet. Famous cakes are really worth to try 🤩 Lovely coffee bars & places for a glass of wine next to B&B; with zero tourists. Safety on highest level- great place for solo travelers. Best place of all 5 that we stayed before in Bologna. Kettle and moka express in the room. Lovely balcony. Kindness and good vibes of owners are highly contagious 🥰🥰🥰🥰 one of the most welcoming people in the world 🥰🥰🥰

All is perfect.

The whole place was lovely! The room was small but cozy, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was practically brand new, well sized and organised. The veranda where they serve breakfast is nice and cozy, the perfect place to start your day. Speaking of the breakfast, that was awesome. Plenty of choice, especially on the sweet side (as a typical Italian breakfast should be), but savoury options are available. Franca, the owner, is the perfect hostess: warm and welcoming, always available to make your stay special, and welcome you with a smile. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The host and her family were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely helpful and loads of fun. Parking is always a challenge in Italy but the parking here was perfect. It was right across the street. The location was easy walking distance to sightseeing, tours, restaurants and bars. We felt extremely safe walking late at night. We would stay there again .

If you visit Bologna, you must stay at La Magnolia. Sara and Franca make you feel so welcoming, going above and beyond . Sara was constantly in touch and recommended and booked restaurants as Bologna was super busy over the week-end. Our bedroom was clean and spotless, breakfast was great and the location of La Magnolia is about a 10-15 minute walk. We arrived very early and left late, but Sara and Franca offered to hold our luggage which was a great. We will book here again next we're in Bologna.
