Great place! Really nice and hospitable owner. Unique hotel. Amazing views. Very dog friendly. You have to walk down 200m to the property, but that’s part of the fun. It’s on a hiking trail that connects to Camogli (20 minute walk downhill) and a network of trails beyond San Rocco. Probably isn’t a great hotel for people who have huge roller bags! If you are an adventurous type who wants a special stay it’s perfect. The nightly rate we found very reasonable for the location and quality.

There is no AC but with the windows open we were fine in mid August.

We were amazed about the location of the house, and also our room was really nice and tidy, with a scenic view to the valley nearby. They were also flexible with our arrival. If you would like to hike to San Fruttuoso this is the right choice, but be aware that it is a 20-25 minute hike from Camogli train station, with many steps on the road. The breakfast was also good, so all in all I definitely would recommend BBQ lodge.

It was not clear to us, that the sea view (photos) is not from the garden, but from the village. But the panorama was beautiful anyway.

The location is perfect, right on the trail from Camogli to San Fruttuoso/Portofino. Great views, very good breakfast on the terras, and nice restaurant nearby in San Rocco. Hiking from Camogli is a lot of stairs, but worth the effort, and saves time and effort next morning while continuing your way to San Fruttuoso/Portofino. At the bakery in San Rocco you can buy lovely pastries and foccacia, also fruit, water etc. Would also be nice to return to the BBQ Lodge after the hike, but we didn't have anough time.

Incredible location, beautiful view. Staff were wonderful friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast served on the deck. Close to fabulous walks.

It would have been good to know that the 1.5km walk from the train station was a very steep uphill walk. Not great lugging heavy suitcases all that way. There is a bus that takes you to the village near the top of the mountain with only a 150m walk down.

- Lovely breakfast spread. - Great view from our room, and nice space within the room for luggage and two people. - Walk down to the beach offered great views and was quiet, was comfortable for us but there are a lot of stairs.

- Room had no air conditioner and fan did little to counter the heat (we did visit in a heat wave during summer, so would be better at other times of year). - About a 30 minute downhill walk from the bus stop upon arrival. Had a great view and wasn't really a negative for us, but just for awareness.

I had an amazing time with Luna and Francesca — their company and Luna’s delicious cooking made the stay truly special. The property is perfect for disconnecting and enjoying breathtaking views surrounded by the trees.

There was nothing I didn’t like; everything exceeded my expectations.

Just a simply beautiful place on the Ligurian Coast. The nicest staff; clean, calm place to recharge. You can hike, swim, wonder aimlessly or just do nothing on the two spacious terraces. Thank you all and we will be back some day for sure :-)

The air conditioning machines could be more efficient, especcialy in the hot hot summer. But it is just a small detail to live with.

Beautiful setting in the midst of lush nature. Very quiet and beautiful view into the valley and other mountain side. The property is full of nice vintage furniture which makes it interesting. The host is helpful and welcoming.

It was not so easy to find. Maybe an idea would be to indicate that one should find the church first, the property is close to it.

Very lovely and peaceful place and very nice and kind host, she s been always helpful and smiling. I loved the breakfast and view of my room, bed was comfortable. I ll come back longer next time. Gratzie mille!

All is good just good to know don’t bring heavy luggage.

Such a beautiful and unique location, based in San Rocco with stunning viewing over Camogli. The hotel felt boutique, original and characteristic. Just beautiful and an amazing outdoor seating area with amazing views.
