Was good location. Hotel is one of the few modern properties in Camogli, so if you don’t want to stay in grandma’s apartment - this hotel is a good solution. Bed was very comfortable. Check in, help with luggage and parking and most of the services correspond to 5 star. They have their own parking, which is rare in Camogli (but extra 50 eur per day). Breakfast was good.

In a five star hotel room cleaning was not made untill 5 pm. We come back from the beach and no toilet paper, no towels, no cleaning. Absolutely no facilities for drying your clothes from the beach! Hotel is located in a resort area, would be good to think it out. Also in a spacious bathroom absolutely no hooks for towels, even no brush for toilet. Telephone in the room also was not working. When I said reception about these drawbacks, was no reaction, just ok. Walls in the room and in public places damaged in many places. In general more close to 4 stars

Feels like a new hotel, modern and clean with nice staff. Rooms are good size, good service. It is close to the sea and 2 mins walk from the sea promenade, however it is at the end of a parking lot facing it one side, and a big wall on the back ...

Location is comfortable but doesnt have great views. There is a gym but with 3 piece of machineries .. back rooms face a wall. I think is a very good hotel to visit Camogli, central and easy to reach - but doesn't have many amenities if you want just to stay there

Great location, with a lovely bedroom, close to the city center and many excellent restaurants. We especially loved Del Luca Pizzeria, which was right across the street! Breakfast was delicious, though it could have offered more bread options and been restocked more frequently when items ran out.

The hotel emphasizes its rooftop jacuzzi a lot, but it's rarely available for use. It had rained in the morning, but by the afternoon, the weather had cleared up, with just a few clouds—perfect conditions to use the rooftop. However, it remained closed, leading us to think that they only open it on sunny days. On sunny days, you'd just go to the beach, so the jacuzzi isn't as necessary. When we inquired about the rooftop, they simply suggested we take a stroll around the city. The bedroom is really nice and comfortable, but the bathroom isn't in the best condition for a 5-star hotel; the shower, in particular, needs remodeling.

The whole experience of visiting the hotel was memorable from the welcoming glass of Prosecco when booking in to the quality & cleanliness of the room through to the spa facilities Special mention should be made to the evening meal not only in terms of the range, presentation of the food but the attentiveness of the maitre de & having the opportunity to thank the chef for his first class cuisine The range & presentation of food continued at breakfast as did the attentiveness of the staff We particularly enjoyed our late lunch in the rooftop sailors bar & our hot tub view of the area All in all an excellent 2-days & more than happy to recommend a visit. Thanks to all at the Carrick Hotel 👍

Nothing worth mentioning

Very nice breakfast, super-comfortable bed, pleasant and modern bathroom. Within a short walk from the train station, beach and restaurants/shops but at the same time not too close to the busy and noisy part of Camogli. A nice feature is a jacuzzi on the roof with a fantastic view. Beach towels are available at the hotel, and there's a great option of walking/hiking in the hills (strenuous ascends but great views from above) or taking a boat to Punta Chiappa, San Fruttuoso and Portofino. The boat from Camogli to Punta Chiappa was 7 euros per person one way but only available in good weather and goes once an hour (September time table). Great selection of eating places in Camogli, with Genoa reachable by train within 45min (can be faster on certain trains).

The only thing that wasn't great in the hotel was the internal noise - sound insulation is not good for this rather expensive hotel. The windows are good though, even if you are facing the road it doesn't disturb you much, but the sounds inside the hotel travel quite a lot. Particular problem - if you are staying on the top floor (4) - there's a noise (from above) of furniture being dragged along the floor of the roof-top bar and restaurant every now and then (floor 5). It is very unpleasant in the evening when it gets worse around 10pm.

The noise in the room!! Pipes banging in the walls continually throughout the night. The ac made a lot of noises as well. The bed was comfortable but only a sheet and one thin blanket in the room. The shower needed to be cleaned and regrouted Breakfast was not good. Everything looked like it was sitting a long time. The milk was warm for cereal. Nothing was restocked once it was gone.

Everything was fabulous: location, super friendly, professional and efficient staff, very clean, elaborate breakfast options, hot tub on roof top so tranquil and beautiful view, w/in easy walk to city center of Camogli restaurants or food at the hotel restaurant is amazing as well. Easy walk to train station. Can’t express enough how wonderful and helpful the front desk staff was to answer all our questions with assistance and a huge smile. Thank you so much to each of them, everything was perfect for our full week stay. Ref question above about mode of transporation: we arrived by auto, there is paid parking, however, we used the train during our stay which was extremely convenient and nearby. Just be prepared for wait times as seemed like train isn't always on time. But easy to use the app and buy tickets from kiosk at station.

we couldn't think of anything for constructive improvement, were just so thrilled with the quality and 100% enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was nice. The hotel was well located and a short walk to everything we needed. A beautiful mountain trail was close by. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Decent air conditioning. The spa was very nice.

The work out facility was located in a room with no HVAC. The equipment was limited and there were no wipes or towels to clean it. The grout in our room shower floor needed some repair. Some common area carpets looked worn.

Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to ensure my family and I had a comfortable stay. They provided a list of recommendations of things to do for rainy days, including a spa offer. The hotel was clean, plenty of amenities and the breakfast spread was good. The location is great, it's a short walk to the sea front and there's a lovely river path nearby. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

The only area for improvement I can suggest is having an iron in the room.
