Excellent stay in a perfect location! The hotel is centrally located – a perfect base for day trips to the surrounding sights. The city center is within easy walking distance, and the train station is just 5 minutes away on foot. The rooms are clean and quiet, providing a very comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful – above average in every way. A lovely touch was the elderly manager bringing a special local fruit to taste during breakfast. Speaking of breakfast – it was fresh, delicious, and plentiful, with a great variety of seasonal fruits. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania!

The hotel is very pleasant, comfortable and clean, with plenty of choice for breakfast. One of our party had a serious medical issue on our last day, and Danillo, the manager, was outstanding in his kindness and understanding. He went well out of his way to help in every way. He went 'above and beyond' in the way he helped. In short he is the most helpful and caring hotel manager I have ever encountered. Prior to the above incident, Danillo had also demonstrated his professionalism by helping in many minor but very useful items at all times with a happy, friendly manner. His nephew and niece (I believe) Also did a marvellous job helping Danillo in the hotel. I cannot overemphasise how he helped our stay.

The only thing I regret is that we hadn't booked a longer stay!!

Location is great, 5 minutes walk to the train station, 1 minute to the bus station. 15 minutes walk to the city center. Breakfast is incredibly good: lots of fresh fruits, variety of pastry, eggs, cereal, yogurt. Rooms are cleaned daily. The host Danilo is the nicest person I’ve ever met! Very helpful, friendly, responsive, always in a good mood, he treated me like I’m his best friend. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Everything was perfect

The Rigel is an excellent & value for money hotel which we can thoroughly recommend. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped & immaculately clean. Proximity to both Catania Central Station & Bus Station make for a very convenient location. The breakfast offering was great with plenty of options & the host Danilo was very welcoming & helpful

This was my second time in Hotel Rigel in two years. I very much recomend it as it is max 5 minutes from the train station Catania Centrale, also about 15 minutes walk from the main city center for tourism. Very nice rooms, great personel, nice breakfast. Definately worth stopping when in Catania, also price range is very fair.

Convenient for transport links. Exceeds its official rating - very pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was exceptional for this type/level of property. Staff were superb. Liked the security system on the outside doors.

For its class/level this property exceeded standards in every way. There was nothing to dislike.

I received a warm welcome (and great pre-arrival communication) from reception. The hotel is a half block from the Flix bus pick up, with shops and restaurants in every direction. The elevator was a welcome change, and the air conditioning was perfect!

A suggestion: Please put a kettle and a drinking glass in the room.

Just across the road from bus & train station. Great breakfast, and all staff were very friendly from the time I checked in very late at night and til I checked out. Very helpful and informative. The bathroom was a good size and very clean.

Abit too noisy for me, but as the hotel is close to the station, it is expected.

Welcoming friendly reception staff, very clean and large spacious room with private bathroom, fridge, wifi and adjustable aircon. Breakfast is included and offers a large selection. Super close to bus and train stations. Bar and patisserie next door. Restaurants close by.

Small detail. But tea and coffee making facilities would be nice.
