The hotel is very pleasant, comfortable and clean, with plenty of choice for breakfast. One of our party had a serious medical issue on our last day, and Danillo, the manager, was outstanding in his kindness and understanding. He went well out of his way to help in every way. He went 'above and beyond' in the way he helped. In short he is the most helpful and caring hotel manager I have ever encountered. Prior to the above incident, Danillo had also demonstrated his professionalism by helping in many minor but very useful items at all times with a happy, friendly manner. His nephew and niece (I believe) Also did a marvellous job helping Danillo in the hotel. I cannot overemphasise how he helped our stay.

The only thing I regret is that we hadn't booked a longer stay!!

Close to the train statio

Danilo at the reception was perfect! Very friendly, helpful and hard working, gives you a nice smile all the time! Our room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast variety is very good if you compare it to breakfast you can get anwhere else in Italy. Catania train and bus station very close to the hotel, literally max. 5 minutes walking.

Rooms facing the street get quite noisy, as the main street is very busy 24/7. Air condition gets sometimes a bit loud. Breakfast could start at 7 in the morning, as sometimes you need to set off for the whole day trip, or to the airport quite early.

Welcoming friendly reception staff, very clean and large spacious room with private bathroom, fridge, wifi and adjustable aircon. Breakfast is included and offers a large selection. Super close to bus and train stations. Bar and patisserie next door. Restaurants close by.

Small detail. But tea and coffee making facilities would be nice.

Hotel is locates at great position, 10 minutes walking from centre. Staff is wonderfull, they helped us a lot with every questions and pointed us what to visit. Specially young guy who can be found everywhere, at reception when you need him, at breakfast, everywhere. We had feeling we are part of family how they behaved. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, we liked it so much that we asked to stay one more day. If you are seeking for hotel in Catania, you found it.

Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff, location is great if you plan whole day trips around Sicily with return to Catania as the train and coach station is right by the hotel. And I also have to mention Danilo... very helpful and kind.

English was a bit problematic sometimes.

The staff were very friendly, especially Danilo, who was such a kind host, always smiling and happy. He gave us a lot of advice on where to go and what to do, and was real help to us. We rented a car and were able to park just in front of the hotel each night when we got back. Even though the rooms are basic, they have everything you need if you are only going to be spending your nights in the hotel, which was what we needed.

Hotel is cozy , cozy room , 3 min from trains and bus station. Easy access to center Staff great , especially one guy in reception his name is Danilo- very kind person and supportive, was really my pleasure to meet him and ask his help

Lovely small hotel. Comfortable, clean, good location for train/bus, friendly helpful staff. No issue with holding on to our bags after check-out till we were leaving the city. Normal 'Italian' breakfast of pastries and also fruit and yoghurt and hard boiled eggs - which we were surprised to see eaten as you would a piece of fruit (shelled of course!). No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We liked everything good location fresh ingredients for breakfast and staff always with a smile we felt really we are in our second home looking forward to ome back highly recommend Rigel hotel
