The apartment was a 3 minute walk from the train station and Maria was very eager to provide useful information. Newly renovated and very clean. The kitchen was shared with 2 other rooms. Any information we needed, Maria was there to help and provide and was often cleaning the kitchen and our dishes. Very kind. The old city was a 10 minute walk away.

Although well equipped , no staple ingredients are provided other than salt and sugar. It’s always nice to find pepper and olive oil in a kitchen unit and spray for the frying pan….just cooking basics would be appreciated . Also, the parking offered was 15$eu and there was no fruit upon arrival, like advertised. The neighborhood was quiet although close to everything but it was a bit sketchy. We never walked at night.

We stayed just one night at Armisi on our way from Naples to Syracruse. Maria, the host was absolutely delightful and the accommodation which we chose because it was close to the train station was spotless, comfortable and just what we needed. It is within walking distance of the Duoma and the centre of town and had a private balcony to enjoy an evening drink or a sunny breakfast, which we did.

I can't fault the accommodation or Maria and we chose this apartment because of it's closeness to the train station but if we were staying longer I think I would have liked to have stayed in a different part of Catania, closer to the centre of town.

In writing, the tone of our host was not friendly at all when we exchanged messages prior to our arrival (and that is not due to language issues, an Italian friend of ours also found the tone surprising). But she turned out to be nice once we actually got to meet her. The soundproofing between rooms could be a bit better, not a big issue though.

Great terrace from room. Comfy bed. Clean and good shower. Air conditioner working great in the heat. Minutes from the central train station. Lovely restaurants close by. Attentive host Maria.

We wanted to stay close to the train station but if not then it’s about 15-20 min walk to main tourist areas.

Excellent location, close to the bus station and a few minutes' walk from the center. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

It is important to know that the apartment is shared with others, there is a common area (kitchen and hall) and three rooms that are rented separately. This can make you feel unsafe, but if you don't have a problem with that, everything is perfect.

Great location to the main square, great value for money. There was access to a shared kitchen which was fab. Accommodation was very clean and rooms are a great size with access to outdoor private seating. Host was lovely and super helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and gorgeous.Big and comfortable bed, very beautiful bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with everything and the host was very polite about using some of the things. The location is great very close to the center and the port. The hostess was kind and very sweet

Lovely responsive host, clean and tidy apartment great balcony and fully equipped shared kitchenette. Wonderful location to train Nd bus station and about 1km walk to old town. Good aircon, spacious room and bathroom. Very happy with our stay here and would return.

15 euro late check in but she was so helpful throughout our stay it didn't bother us

Very friendly, chatty, Italian speaking host that welcomed us, gave us a nice Italian breakfast with cakes and coffee but als yoghurt and bread, and a warm good bye. Free parking in the narrow street. Old center was about a 15 min walk, trainstation is 5 min walk. Airco was much appreciated. Also a nice private terrace.

The bed was nice and firm but also a bit saggy. Shower head is in need of vinegar. Nothing major. We loved our stay at this appartment.

Great location close to both the central train and bus stations Helpful, friendly staff. Maria, the hostess, was a great source of recommendations. Elegant, modern rooms and facilities. Easy walking distance to Catania's main tourist sights - the cathedral, the Greco-Roman amphitheatre, the Ursini castle and the fish market. Excellent family run restaurant, I Moschettierios, is just around the corner

Located on a somewhat dingy street (but safe) Access for guests to a washing machine would have been an asset
