Staff were very welcoming, helpful and generally attentive. Food was excellent both breakfast (fantastic selection) and supper. The evening we arrived staff were very welcoming even though we were quite late to the restaurant as we arrived at the hotel later than expected and the meal was outstanding. Although our room faced the road we did have the most fantastic view of the mountains.

Would have really liked tea making facilities in the room. The bathroom was a bit strange as the shower leaked everywhere as there was no strip on the bottom of the shower door to prevent water hitting the floor. However the house keeping staff were very helpful and understood why we had to use all the towels to mop up.

The location is great, straight in the center of Cortina, beautifully lighted in the evening, with easy access and amazing views of the mountains. If you wake up early enough you can see the sunrise over the peaks in gorgeous colors (from the room). A true vintage hotel with modern facilities. Overall though very old-school, inside wood and mountain style prevailing. Double door to opening the room, using an old-fashioned metallic key (loved it!). The room was spacious enough, very warm, clean and finely furnished, charming beyond and with a lot of character, just like the building itself (early 19th-century building). The bed was very comfortable, so very happy with it. Most of the furniture was old-school, but added to the charm. Staff was very welcoming. Breakfast room amazing, with chandeliers, tall ceilings and a large tapestry on the back wall; plus a great selection of food.

The water taps in the bathroom were slightly dripping, but this was only a minor inconvenience. Check-out and invoice areas opposite one another, very bureaucratic and slow (but nothing unusual).

Lovely traditional hotel in the centre of town. Our room was delightful- very spacious & really nicely decorated. It looked like it was recently renovated. I think we’d been given an upgrade. 🙏🏼 Lots of great public areas in the hotel, lounges, bars & restaurants. Staff very friendly. We were able to park about 5 mins walk away.

Unfortunately the wi-fi didn’t always work well in the room, but I’d read about this before booking. It worked fine once downstairs in the lounge.

The property is as centrally located as you can get, right on the pedestrian only, Via Roma. If you like shopping you’re in the middle of world class shopping. The staff is amazing. I had an issue with my initial room and they switched me to a new room right away.

At the time of my visit there was an issue with the wifi, weak signal. It’s a very old, very well maintained building, but very solid walls.

Central location, nice bar, Amazing concierge - good breakfast.

Rooms are dated from a decor point of view but don’t let that put you off. Bed very comfortable, as typical in Italy no showers but the bathtub was large and warm and filled quickly. Rooms were quiet.

The hotel is as central as you can get and they allow you to park in front of the property to load the luggage, which is great. Rooms are fairly spacious, there is a ski room, not huge but ok. The ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

The main restaurant is rather pompous and quite overpriced (particularly as the service is not great). There are other dining options, but must be booked well in advance. The bars are better and quite pleasant. The staff is generally very nice, but we did have a nightmare a check-out.

Loved the charm and character of the building. Staff very welcoming and made me feel at home. Room was spacious, clean and lovely view. Quiet in the evening. Breakfast room amazing and enjoyed sitting out looking at the view.

The bathroom was old, though very clean and functional. Would be improved if the shower wasn't hand held.

Breakfast and location: excellent

Bed covers: We found the blanket covered with an inside and an outside sheet difficult to navigate. A light duvet would have been better. This is the only criticism we had.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lorenzo was great at organising a shuttle to take myself and my bike to Corvara so I could take part in the Maratona dles Dolomites. Breakfast was good but could have had more choice when it came to the cooked food. The location was great being right at the centre of Cortina.

Shame the private parking was not included in the cost of the stay. I parked my car in the public parking about 100 metres away. Would have been nice to have air-conditioning or a fan in the room as I was staying there in the summer and gets hot in the evening. I know it's usually a ski resort so understand it can be hard to cater for both winter and summer seasons.

Delightful hotel.Smack in the center of Cortina,yet rooms are quiet.I slept with the window open and enjoyed the cool nighttime air. Good wifi,comprehensive breakfast. Staff are kind,friendly,helpful and cheerful-these are all signs of a well-managed business. It's not luxury,but having checked out the Savoie and Christallo I'd stay here again because of the hotel's Old World character ,location and authenticity. To linger at the hotel's outdoor cafe ,sipping a cappuccino-wonderful experience. If coming by bus,hotel is 2 minutes downhill from the station.

I struggle to find anything negative. The hotel apparently was the first to open in Cortina -and their experience shows.
