Extremely clean and well-lit. Our host who picked us up from the airport and checked us in was very friendly.

I was a bit caught off guard at the price of the shuttle, a total of 45 euros cash to get me and my husband from the airport and back, since we used it both ways. I had to get more money from the ATM to afford it at the end of our trip. But there wasn't any easy alternative for transportation despite the airport being so close.

Porto Claudio is a wonderful small family hotel, located just minutes from Rome's Fiumicino airport. They have a shuttle service, for a small charge that can meet you or drop you off (added to your hotel bill). Rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious and more than adequate, with prosciutto, boiled eggs, croissants, yogurt, and cappuccino coffee. We appreciated the bottled water which was in the room's refrigerator. The hotel has an elevator, outside decks, and is close to restaurants. Just a 10 minute walk away is Clementina a authentic Italian restaurant by the sea. A pastry shop is next store, They make great coffee. Very safe neighborhood. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was good. Supermarket is nearby as is a beauty salon and a fruit/vegetable market.

The city's street c;leaner which was running, parked in front of the hotel at 6:45 AM, so that they could get some coffee from the nearby Pastry Shop. But we were already up, so I forgive them. Some nearby restaurants are also closed for the winter.

The hotel was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It was close to shops, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was ample and well done.

I had called ahead to ask about the airport transfer but misunderstood the answer as 120 euros for two ways. It was actually 60 euros two ways. As a consequence I instead rented a car at the airport for just the one night. This was an added complication but worked well because the rental car cost only 20 euros and allowed us to explore Ostia Antica nearby.

Staying at Porto di Claudio was definitely a highlight of my 2 week stay in Italy. This wonderful B&B minutes away from the Fiumicino airport is run by a lovely family; parents and 3 adult children. I truly appreciate their clear communication and commitment to hosting and making their guests feel welcomed, cared for and safe. I paid extra for their prompt airport shuttle service and it was well worth the cost. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room and bathroom were very large and I enjoyed taking a rest on the sofa during the day. My room was on the top floor and had an enourmous balcony. I enjoyed sitting out there during the day to read and relax. I am not fluently in Italian but enjoyed chatting with the family members using my basic conversational language skills. I felt right at home and I absolutely loved walking around Fiumicino. What a quaint little city outside the hustle and bustle of Rome. I discovered a beautiful park nearby and enjoyed sampling the many restuarants along the lungomare. Having a farmacia and grocery store within walking distance was also a bonus. I only wish I knew that they had bicycles available for use...next time, as I would definitely stay here again.

There isn't really anything that I did not like, but there was an odor from the bathroom drains that is quite common in beach communities. Having the window open for fresh air helped.

The location is perfect for anyone traveling through Fiumicino airport, as it’s just a short distance away. This made catching my early flight a breeze without the stress of long travel times. Despite its proximity to the airport, the hotel itself is quiet, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing or travel. The value for money is fantastic, and I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Fiumicino! Bonus, you get to visit an incredible beach within walkable distance.

Finally some polite people in Italy, they don't shout around the hotel, they speak English as a place that receives tourists that's supposed to be normal and they speak English wow, they're super nice, polite, good in communication with people, the place was quiet even though it's in the city, I definitely am surprised and would recommend someone that wants a quiet an actual clean night before their flight because that's how most people want to spend their last night before a flight, the food was good, the place looks good, there's free parking outside, there's restaurants outside, I just wish I could know more people like in this hotel because most people have met so far are the worst kind. Thank you for correcting my experience, thank you for giving me a soft place to sleep in before my flight thank you so much!

That I didn't get to meet more people like in this hotel that respect their customers.

Great location for a one night stay near fco airport. Arrived late in the evening and had early flight out the next morning. They offered pickup and drop off the next day for a total of 50euro. Well worth the convenience of not having to hassle with a local cab which I doubt would have been any less expensive. Timely pickup and drop off and very polite driver. Room was large by Euro standards. Very comfortable bed with a sofa, large closet and frig. Found a ramen noodle house down the street and had a nice meal late into the evening. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection of pastry, coffee, etc. Had a chance to grab a quick bite before our ride back to the airport. They also have a lovely outdoor sitting area with lemon trees.

Toilet seat needed replacement.

This hotel was perfect for an overnight before an early flight from Fiumicino (Rome) Airport. The staff was so helpful in getting us to and from the hotel (we took an express train to the airport and then needed to get to the hotel) despite my confusion on whether we needed a ride. They answered all my WhatsApp messages quickly and in English. The price for the shuttle ($50 round trip) was much better than the local taxi service. They even packed a little bag breakfast of fruit and yogurt for us because we had to leave at 6:45 before the breakfast service began. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was located in the heart of the little commercial area so we found a place to eat. The room was clean, the shower was nice, in short just what we needed.

The closet pole for hanging coats was ridiculously high! My 6-foot tall husband could hardly reach it.

I love this family run hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day, with a great selection of food. The location was close to cafes and restaurants and a nice grocery store for last minute shopping. I love any business that has a resident cat. The owner will provide a contact for airport pick up and drop off and I would encourage travellers to use this as it is associated with the hotel and is less expensive that the standard taxi.

We took a taxi from the Termini area to this hotel ... it was 75E from our Rome hotel. We could have taken the train to the airport and had the hotel shuttle pick us up, but we didn't want to deal with the train and the airport. It was the night before we flew back to the U.S. We could have arranged for a pickup at the airport as this hotel uses WhatsApp for quick correspondence. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We arranged for their shuttle back to the airport the next morning. That was very convenient. If we had arrived in Rome, we could have also arranged the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I believe it was 25Euros for one trip (for both of us). The room was very spacious, had a mini-frig, and the bathroom was very modern. The breakfast was delightful with many choices for the Italian version of breakfast. This location was perfectly close to the airport and we will stay there again. Thank you, Porto Di Claudio
