The hotel, situated halfway up the hill from Florence to Fiesole, is annexed to a religious house and has an institutional air. The rooms are of a decent size and we had a fine balcony with beautiful views, shaded from direct sunlight. There is a fridge downstairs in which residents can store goods. Breakfast was plentiful. Good on-site parking. The bus route between Florence and Fiesole passes a couple of minutes walk away down a steep road.

It is not cheap but it’s Florence.

The hotel was located on the hill so that we had a perfect view from our apartment of the main Florence(Firenze) square. It had anti-mosquito nets protecting us from their bites. The personnel were welcoming and friendly. We were check-in very late, so they described in detail how to reach the apartment. The room was clean and comfortable. Near the hotel was a parking lot. The dinner was very tasty.

Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to reach all the places in Florence, so maybe we will return there someday.

Beautiful property and lots of history. Famous Italian writer/poet had once written some of his works there. I went to do a medical training so all attending state here as well. Staff at the front desk, a rotation of three different men, were so incredibly helpful and nice. Alex in the kitchen was a jewel. The food was also good!

It was kind of remote, so it was a little bit difficult to get into the city in Florence. Taxis were expensive to get to and from. The bed was tiny. Only a twin size.

Was a really nice, especially with the chapel and the spacious garden and courtyard. The bed was so comfortable and the staff were very helpful and accommodating when we encountered an unexpected 8 hour delay causing us to arrive very late. It wasn't to far of a drive from the center of Florence, so it's a perfect location if you're driving and close to public transit if you are not.

Wish we had been able to stay a bit longer and enjoy the villa more. Some of the screens on the windows had rips in them, kind of defeating the purpose, but still nice to have.

We ended up extending our stay and alltogether stayed there for 10 days. Upon arrival we were given a room that smelled of artificial air fragrance. We could not stay in it so we asked for another room. The new room was much better and we really enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was included in the price and it varied by day. Some days we had more, some days less to choose from. The king size bed was made up of two single beds, but it was comfortable enough. The location is perfect as you can walk to and back to the center. There is also a bus stop very close by. And the parking is very convenient. Would stay there again if a need arised and would recommend it to others who are travelling by car.

The use of artificial air fragrances in the lobby and overpowering smell in the rooms. Could have been a bit warmer.

Villa La Stella was perfectly located for daily visits to the centre of Florence. There was a regular bus down from Fiesole to the train station, from which it was a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Santa Maria Novella church was across the square from the bus stop. It was also a good centre for day trips, for instance to Siena and San Gimignano. Fiesole was a short drive up the hill for dinners after a day in the city. The facilities were fine, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was generous and our room was comfortable.

A very peaceful place, everything was clean, the bed was comfy. The single bed room is small, but has everything you might need. They let you wander around the property and the garden and everything there looks stunning. I didn't have the famous Florence view, but I didn't really care. (And if you wander around you'll eventually find the corridor window with that stunning view.) Breakfast was nice, though I had to skip it a few times because it starts at 7:30 and I had timed duomo tickets for 8am, so breakfast could definitely start sooner, but that's a personal preference. The bus stop is 2-3 minutes from the villa and the bus takes you straight to the centre/train station, which is amazing.

The hotel is in a very quiet and green location. The room was very basic but large, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great, and it had a lot of options, both to eat and to drink. During the rest of the time you can get a bottle of water or something else to drink and pay for it when you check out, and there is also a coffee machine that works with tokens. I was a bit afraid that if the bus was very irregular I might waste a lot of my limited Florence time, but I never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes, and Moovit could predict it.

The hotel is uphill from the bus stop, so when you have a large suitcase it's not the most comfortable climb, but then, going back down is much easier.

We had a pleasant stay at Villa La Stella between 28.12-01.01.2024. The room was good, generous in space, and had a nice view. The breakfast was more than Ok, it started at 7:30 till 10. We needed one morning to serve it before 7:30 and the staff helped us with this request. The villa, even if it's in Fiesole, is well connected with the city center, by bus no 7, that works on a schedule. We bought bus tickets from the front desk one morning. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this villa is a good choice.

The windows are hard to close. The wi-fi.

It is very quite place, reach by public transport bus no. 7, I bought tickets for the bus in the hotel. I have not time to enjoy environment of the hotel unfortunately.

Every country has its specificity with its breakfast. I would only add fruits and vegetables-salad for the breakfast.
