* Room: Spacious and clean, decently furnished. Was quiet. * Location: Mere 200m from Genova Piazza Principe train station, making day trips (e.g. to Santa Margherita Ligure) convenient. Old town can be reached on foot via Via Balbi. For harbor, we would recommend to stick to Via Balbi then turn right at Piazza della Nunziata, rather than going straight south, as that part of the harbor can feel a bit intimidating. * Overall: Good price-performance ratio. Friendly staff. Worth your consideration.

* Bathroom: Smallish and not well ventilated. The shower stall could have used a sliding glass-door for full water-proofing, rather than a half partition.

The hotel was located a stone's throw from the train/bus station & a 10 minute walk from the aquarium, where you can get boat trips to Camogli, San Fruttuoso, Porto Fino & Pegli. Our room was on the 4th floor above a busy street however the soundproof windows blocked out the noise and the air conditioning kept the room cool. The staff are so pleasant and helpful - one of the lights in our bathroom kept flickering and after we notified them they ensured it was fixed while we were out during the day. The breakfast is a real treat and they keep everything topped up throughout the morning. Would definitely recommend and return!

There is a small lift and you have to hope that the last person that used it closed the door to it otherwise it won't come back down - if not, you're stuck and walking up those stairs! Only a minor drawback though, this is a fabulous hotel and great value for money.

Really convenient location right next to the station where we easily got a bus (€10) to the airport without having to walk across the city with our luggage. The staff were really friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early and pay for a late check out which was great as we weren’t flying until 10pm. It cost €50 but we didn’t have to leave until 6pm. Air-con worked well and the room/bathroom had everything needed. The room was also really quiet so we slept well.

Although the area is convenient for the station it is a little bit less touristy and we did find walking on an evening to be a bit more remote with gangs around. If you go careful and stick to main roads and well lit areas like we did you shouldn’t have any issues. Wifi was also very poor in our room, think it needs to a signal booster.

Impressively situated just outside the Genova PP train station, on the bustling Via Balbi, the location is impeccable. Though the building is old, a lift is available, and the rooms are generally clean and quiet. Our room features a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bed, and convenient amenities like a small fridge and an electric kettle. The staff are helpful and accommodating, making check-in and check-out hassle-free.

There is an unpleasant damp smell in the room. We opened the window to ventilate a bit, only to find that it faces some residential buildings in the back area where an old man is hanging out laundry. We feel a bit creepy and end up closing the window and resigning ourselves to the smell, more or less.

The hotel was very good experience for Genoa. Leaving the pirate city of Genoa and coming to this hotel was super refreshing. The location of this hotel is superb. The staff were super nice and accommodating. AC worked so well, and it was one of the rarest hotels where the AC worked like a charm. The rooms were spacious and really good bathroom.

I didn’t like their bed and their pillows were not good at all, I would have preferred better pillows. I also I didn’t like their breakfast, there wasn’t bad about it but I would have wished more varieties.

The room was clean and the temperature was also fine. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel itself gave a pleasant environment.

The neighbourhood is a bit off, only a few places were open. We didn't have blankets, only sheets. In the wardrobe there was a fuzzy blanket but nothing we could use to cover it.

Excellent Location for train travellers, was 3 min walk from the train station Genoa Piazza Principe. Room was very clean, spacious and elegant. Checkin and checkout process was very smooth, we were even allowed an early checkin. We stayed for one night only, yet we think this place is a place where you can stay for more time.

Just one thing, the air conditioner had a slightly loud sound, but did not affect our sleep.

* The location: the hotel is just 4~5 minutes from the train station. It is on a busy street surrounded by many restaurants. * The facility: the room is equipped with nearly all essential things like slippers, a kettle, tea bags, coffees, chocolates and a bidet. The window is double-layered and very soundproofing.

* The noisy street: the streets around the train station look a little bit dangerous and very noisy at night. Crazy people played loud music on the street and even the tight window cannot 100% block all the noises.

Close to train station and bus station, great location to port also.

Basic breakfast, basic toiletries, small room. It other residents didn’t shut the wire lift gate, the lift didn’t work. You would have to go down each floor and check the wire gate is closed, so you could use the lift to transport your cases down to reception or up to your room! Bad lift system!

The location is excellent, close to the Genova Piazza Principe. This helps a lot. By foot was possible to reach all places we wanted to visit. The bed and shower was very good.

There was no a single umbrella to leave the hotel, since it was raining. It is the first hotel I stay not offering a umbrella to the client. There was no enough electrical plugs. Sorry for complaining this in this hotel, because this is a problem in all hotels I have been. Architects didn't recognize yet that nowadays people carry 2 or three electronic equipments. This hotel has a nice niche in the bathroom for leaving your shampoo, razor etc. Most hotels don't.
