Nice big clean room. Gorgeous breakfast room with frescoes on ceiling.

Silly check out process. They don’t take credit cards so we had to find cash to pay for 2 breakfasts and 2 city tax. This was not made clear at any point before checkout. Luckily we had time and found enough cash but if we had been in a hurry and had to find an ATM that would have been a big problem- we would have missed our train. A hotel so near the train station should accept cards.

* Room: Spacious and clean, decently furnished. Was quiet. * Location: Mere 200m from Genova Piazza Principe train station, making day trips (e.g. to Santa Margherita Ligure) convenient. Old town can be reached on foot via Via Balbi. For harbor, we would recommend to stick to Via Balbi then turn right at Piazza della Nunziata, rather than going straight south, as that part of the harbor can feel a bit intimidating. * Overall: Good price-performance ratio. Friendly staff. Worth your consideration.

* Bathroom: Smallish and not well ventilated. The shower stall could have used a sliding glass-door for full water-proofing, rather than a half partition.

The hotel was located a stone's throw from the train/bus station & a 10 minute walk from the aquarium, where you can get boat trips to Camogli, San Fruttuoso, Porto Fino & Pegli. Our room was on the 4th floor above a busy street however the soundproof windows blocked out the noise and the air conditioning kept the room cool. The staff are so pleasant and helpful - one of the lights in our bathroom kept flickering and after we notified them they ensured it was fixed while we were out during the day. The breakfast is a real treat and they keep everything topped up throughout the morning. Would definitely recommend and return!

There is a small lift and you have to hope that the last person that used it closed the door to it otherwise it won't come back down - if not, you're stuck and walking up those stairs! Only a minor drawback though, this is a fabulous hotel and great value for money.

Really convenient location right next to the station where we easily got a bus (€10) to the airport without having to walk across the city with our luggage. The staff were really friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early and pay for a late check out which was great as we weren’t flying until 10pm. It cost €50 but we didn’t have to leave until 6pm. Air-con worked well and the room/bathroom had everything needed. The room was also really quiet so we slept well.

Although the area is convenient for the station it is a little bit less touristy and we did find walking on an evening to be a bit more remote with gangs around. If you go careful and stick to main roads and well lit areas like we did you shouldn’t have any issues. Wifi was also very poor in our room, think it needs to a signal booster.

The hotel was very good experience for Genoa. Leaving the pirate city of Genoa and coming to this hotel was super refreshing. The location of this hotel is superb. The staff were super nice and accommodating. AC worked so well, and it was one of the rarest hotels where the AC worked like a charm. The rooms were spacious and really good bathroom.

I didn’t like their bed and their pillows were not good at all, I would have preferred better pillows. I also I didn’t like their breakfast, there wasn’t bad about it but I would have wished more varieties.

Impressively situated just outside the Genova PP train station, on the bustling Via Balbi, the location is impeccable. Though the building is old, a lift is available, and the rooms are generally clean and quiet. Our room features a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bed, and convenient amenities like a small fridge and an electric kettle. The staff are helpful and accommodating, making check-in and check-out hassle-free.

There is an unpleasant damp smell in the room. We opened the window to ventilate a bit, only to find that it faces some residential buildings in the back area where an old man is hanging out laundry. We feel a bit creepy and end up closing the window and resigning ourselves to the smell, more or less.

The room was small but adequate for our needs as out all day most days. The room is modern with a modern bathroom.

The breakfast was not good of the 7 hotels we stayed in, in Italy this breakfast set up was the worst . With very rude and unfriendly staff. Although the rooms have been refurbished housekeeping and maintenance teams need to look after detailed in depth cleaning to keep it up to standard.

Great location, close to the Genova Piazza Principe station, and surrounded by restaurants. Very nice room. Polite staff.

The lift is very...small...and awkward to use. We got a breakfast pack because breakfast is not available until 7.30am, which is a bit late for tourists needing to move from one city to another.

The room was clean and the temperature was also fine. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel itself gave a pleasant environment.

The neighbourhood is a bit off, only a few places were open. We didn't have blankets, only sheets. In the wardrobe there was a fuzzy blanket but nothing we could use to cover it.

Excellent Location for train travellers, was 3 min walk from the train station Genoa Piazza Principe. Room was very clean, spacious and elegant. Checkin and checkout process was very smooth, we were even allowed an early checkin. We stayed for one night only, yet we think this place is a place where you can stay for more time.

Just one thing, the air conditioner had a slightly loud sound, but did not affect our sleep.
