The location was perfect. I could walk to everything in town within five minutes. Love to the rooftop pool.

The rooms are small so just be aware that you don’t have a lot of space

Fantastic hotel! The location is second to none, with amazing views across the marina and very close to the shops, bars and the ferry to Portifino. The train station is only 5/10 minutes away by taxi. The hotel is lovely, the staff were extremely professional and helpful and nothing was too much trouble - they genuinely cared. The rooftop sun terrace is great for relaxing and watching the boats. The hotel has a nice little gym with running machine, bike and cross trainer, as well as free weights and a multi-weight training machine. Breakfast was lovely and you had a great range, from continental to full english. We would most certainly stay at this hotel again. Thank you to all of the lovely staff for making it a very special stay!

There wasn't anything not to like about this hotel!

Location is good! About 3-5mins drive or 10min walk from the Santa Margherita Station. Right in front of the sea so it is walking distance to the ferry terminal to go to places like Portofino and San Fruttosso, and also a lot of restaurants around the vicinity. Staff that checked us in called Mika was very friendly and helpful in telling us about the ferry and bus schedules in the area to plan our day. We got upgraded to a bigger room which was super nice of them! The room had a sea view balcony which was nice to sit and chill in. Beds were comfortable and toilet was clean and sufficient amenities. Room had a sofa as well and ample space to open bigger luggage. Breakfast spread had quite a good variety as well !! They also have amenities like 24h gym and a pool deck which we did not use.

Arrived 2 hours early and the front desk checked us without blinking an eye, a lovely start. They were genuinely welcoming, helpful and proffesional. On other occasions we had requests and they dealt with each and every one with the minimum of fuss. Our room was spacious and clean, the view from the balcony overlooking the harbour was great. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of many hot and cold dishes. We adored the rooftop pool, extremely peaceful and relaxing. Hotel was in a wonderful location. Would return to Hotel Laurin without hesitation.

The views were fantastic, best location in this area, very convenient pool zone with castle and church nearby and fairytale views on marine and the Bay. Lots of space on the terrace in the room, great atmosphere in the evening (people walking by, sounds, marina views etc.)

The air-conditioning was not cooling enough and did not dry the air, so during the heat it was hard to feel comfortable and cooled even with 22-23 degrees inside. Also nice to have would be mosquito net doors to be able to keep the terrace door open during the night.

central location with magnificent water views. Very short walk to fantastic restaurants and shops. Access to parking was perfect and lift access was important as no need to drag luggage up stairs.

An Unforgettable Stay Thanks to Exceptional Staff Losing your passport while traveling abroad is a nightmare scenario—but that’s exactly what happened to me. Thankfully, the incredible staff at this hotel turned a stressful situation into a manageable one. I want to give special thanks to Roberto at the front office, whose kindness, professionalism, and support were truly above and beyond. Saying “thank you” hardly feels sufficient. Beyond the outstanding service, the location was perfect, the views from the personal balcony were breathtaking, and the breakfast was exceptional. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its hospitality—the staff are in a league of their own. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Only a 10 minute walk from train station. We had room with sea views. Light, comfortable & quiet with a terrace. Modern bathroom with quality toiletries, quality towels & walk in shower. Secure wifi & top breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely private pool & deck area on top floor & lovely lounge area on ground floor. Staff all friendly & welcoming. Close to plenty of good restaurants. The restaurant in the same building but separately managed Da Alfredo is very good & value for money.

Loved its location, the room, balcony and amenities. Breakfast is very good with lots of options in a beautiful room. Was easy access from the train station. The sundeck looked lovely as did the pool. Highly recommend this hotel. The restaurant, that is separately owned, downstairs is good and you can take your dessert back to your room if you like.. The rooms are quiet, no noise from other rooms.

Their plumbing was a little noisy. At first I thought it was people moving furniture but then realised it must have been the plumbing.. the noise certainly was not constant.

The room had an amazing view of the sea and marina with a very large balcony with a retractable awning. The view was stunning with sights of the mountains as well as the city. The hotel seemed new with up-to-date flooring, fixtures, t.v., etc. The bed was comfortable. There was an outdoor pool with sun decks that looked wonderful but timing did not allow us to enjoy that. The breakfast was excellent with even having champagne for mimosas. The vespa's on the street all day out front can be annoying, but it has nothing to do with the hotel.
