It's a real dream! The Villa is amazing (a high quality restoration brought back the old fashion of the late XIX century), with a wonderful sea-view to admire dawns and sunsets. The rooms are completely renovated, very clean and tidy. The Villa is easy to reach and the parking lot is perfect. If you arrive in Santa Margherita by train, it's just a short walk from the station. The staff is really nice, polite, and ready to help you with everything! The breakfast is yummy (homemade, organic and local) and served in a beautiful room on the first floor overlooking the sea! Take a moment to admire the collection of porcelain, the cups and teapots they use: wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay, the villa has so much character with its frescoed ceilings and old floors, but it still feels comfortable and modern inside. Our room was spotless and had a lovely view. Breakfast was also great - fresh, homemade, and served in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. The team were all very very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed, including helping us store our luggage. The location is great too – just a short walk into town and to the train, which made exploring easy. The walk back up can be a bit steep with large luggage, so you might find taking the road makes it slightly easier. You do hear some trains pass by, but it didn’t affect our stay at all and is to be expected along this stretch of coast. Overall, it’s a unique and charming place to stay, and we’d happily come back.

This was an amazing experience. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The property itself is beautiful with an amazing view overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious with pretty frescos. The hotel is a short walk to the train station (although it was a bit difficult to find the path up to the hotel at first) and to downtown Santa Margherita (which is lively, vibrant, and has many stores for shopping). It is also a quick drive to Portofino and Rapallo. Additionally, there is a water taxi available that services Santa Margherita. We only stayed one night, but I wish we had stayed longer. I really can't complain about anything. The only thing maybe would be the very occasional sounds of trains since your close to the station. But this was minimal at best. I really recommend staying here.

This hotel was worth the splurge! The accommodations were exceptional, the property absolutely beautiful with the well-maintained garden. Both the sleeping area and large bathroom were wonderful. The delicious breakfast was served elegantly in the upstairs area just outside our room. We booked the Junior Suite with the Sea View and were not disappointed. We had a small balcony to enjoy one of the best views of SML! Staff was waiting to greet us and were very pleasant and welcoming. We liked the security maintained by the property.

One appealing factor in considering this hotel was its proximity to the train station. Although nearby, the directions given to arrive to the hotel (on foot) from the train station were complicated. TAKE A TAXI! If you have any luggage (and of course you do!) it is not worth the trouble -- too many steps, confusing paths and no clear signage. Once you see the route the taxi takes, it makes it clearer how to access the city center on foot (downhill, without luggage). NOTE: this is less a negative and rather "for your information" -- there are two flights of steps to access the upper floor -- no elevator.

This historic and lovingly maintained villa was beautiful and the location and view are top.Staff was helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. Walking distance to town, ferry, shopping and dining. Steep stairs so nice for us to get our steps in but could be difficult for less fit people but driving down from the villa into town is a possibility as we found easy pay parking the day we checked out. Three pairs of shoes later I was very happy.

The garden is a little tired and there is a train close by but it didn’t hinder of sleep or stay.

Staff accommodating, the view was very nice, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the breakfast was fine, Two items to be aware of, the property is located midway up a hill so you need to walk some steep stairs. If you're somewhat mobility limited, or have heavier luggage, use the road in front of the train station. It less steep but a bit longer. Also, the property is above the rail lines so you will hear the trains passing.

The Villa is a true gem with lots of original features. We were lucky enough to get an upgraded to a junior suite, which was ample and had a spectacular view of the coast. It is a short walk(uphill) from the train station. The shower was very modern and spacious.

The only not so positive note is the breakfast. Certain items such as eggs on toast, avocado toast, ham or freshly squeezed orange juice come at an additional charge. Breakfast needs to be ordered the day before as it is not a buffet breakfast, and the accomodation is keen on adopting a zero waste policy (which i agree with) Having said this, however, I believe that if you are offering breakfast with the rate all items offered should be available rather than having to pay extra.

Everything! Beautiful historic villa with great care taken to preserve original features like the frescoes on ceilings. Spacious rooms with views over city & tastefully done modern bathrooms. You feel like royalty enjoying a nice breakfast in the breakfast salon. Pretty gardens surround the villa. Located in area of private villas yet easy to walk from train station or into town. And great staff who make the stay perfect. 10+

Nothing If you walk there from train station & want to avoid the long sets of stairs use Google maps driving directions & the road is easy to walk

Very beautiful historical villa - perfect combination of historical interiors of palace and modern bathrooms and other devices. Very good location with not long stairs leading right to the center of town and beach. The view from the Delux rooms and terraces is unbeatable! Fantastic! The hosts were caring and very friendly. Beautiful green territory and home made breakfasts. Our stay at this villa costed every cent we spent! And they have their own parking.

Location from the train station- a few stairs to climb but very short. The view is superb. The luxurious feel of the room is wonderful with its painted ceilings & gorgeous antique styled furniture. The staff were friendly & very accommodating. Breakfast felt decadent, beautiful & a sheer delight! The beautiful touches were not overlooked - aesthetically gorgeous (-:
