Location between Rapallo and Santa Margherita is perfect. If arriving by train, the SM station is closer to hotel. It is a 15 min walk, but mostly uphill, taxi and bus outside of train station if needed. Bus stop for both directions is located in front of hotel. Hotel sells bus tickets, 2e, and service was amazing. The front desk staff are so helpful and friendly. We walked into SM and the main area of Rapallo with no issue, and took the bus back. View from our 2nd floor balcony was just beautiful. We enjoyed two great restaurants within a 5 min walk.

We picked the room with the large terrace which was certainly large! The view was gorgeous. My friend and I had to work while we were there for a couple of days and the terrace made for a perfect office! The room was cleaned meticulously every day. The staff are the best thing about this property! They are so lovely and were so helpful with restaurant suggestions and making bookings for us. Breakfast was also lovely.

The location is lovely between Rapallo & Santa Margherita however the walk to/from the towns does require a hill in the heat. Alternatively, the buses stop right outside so we used them a lot! Hot tip- if getting the bus to Portofino, get on the bus at the first stop as they are full by the time they get to Santa Margherita port, or walk!

A lovely little hotel. Very clean and cozy. Large, nice and well-air-conditioned rooms. The balcony from our room had an indescribable sea view. In the morning we woke up to birdsong. If you like walking, Santa Margherita is only 15 minutes away. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Tickets are 2 euros. They can be bought at the reception. You can travel to Rapallo or to Santa Margherita from where you can take a boat to Poltofino. Within walking distance of the hotel there are two wonderful beaches and restaurants with delicious seafood. The best thing about the hotel is the smiling staff :). In a very expensive area, L'Approdo is such good value for money. Yes, it's simple - but it's all you need as a base to explore the area. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and neatly kept. The staff are outstanding...really friendly and helpful. We were on the 4th floor and the view was great. Noise not an issue. We didn't have breakfast but coffee was good. All in all this hotel was perfect for what we needed and great value. If you want a pool, beach acess etc in the area, be prepared to pay double the cost of L'Approdo.

The road can be busy and tough to cross. A minor issue really.

Family-run hotel with a personal charm. Everyone at the reception spoke various languages fluently and were very friendly and helpful with every thing we could need. Very clean with a spectacular view of the sea right from the window and balcony.

Like most hotels in the area, this one sits on top of the main road so there can be some road noise. Also you can hear neighbors, but this is all something that can easily be remedied with some earplugs

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel L’Approdo! The staff were extremely kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile, which made us feel very welcome. Our room had a balcony with the most fantastic view – waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was relaxed and charming, perfect for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway. Highly recommend!

Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful. Very clean. Short walk to restaurants in the local bay. Short walk to Santa Margarita station and on a bus route. Fab view from balcony.

Breakfast at 15 euros was steep as it was ok but not great! Pastries, cereal etc nothing more. Road was noisy some nights and so was the hotel… woken by other guests and morning cleaning staff!

The friendliness of the staff. Lisa, was exceptional, so kind and helpful, and gave us great tips on what to do and where to go. In all my years of staying in hotels worldwide, I have to say that Lisa, was the most friendly, and helpful receptionist. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

The location and view is spectacular from the balcony. We had a room on the top floor which I highly recommend. The first 2 floors may not have the view we had. The room was extremely clean and bright and the cleaning staff was more than accomodating with extra towels and pillows. The staff was very helpful with any and all questions providing great service . The beach is any easy walk across the street. Go to the church and turn right or left. To the right is a small public beach which is very nice and quiet. To the left is another public beach which has a very good place to eat & drink with tables. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel making travel easy to Rapallo. This is a fantastic boutique hotel.

I really didn't like anything, The only down sides I can think of. The hotel is on a somewhat busy road with some traffic noise which dies down early in the evening but you can also watch the scooters whizzing down the hill foe entertainment.All the hotels we saw were on the same road. There is a 7.00eu charge for beach towels to cover cleaning. We got 2 towels for the week.

We booked this hotel quite late on our holiday. The staff was great, friendly and always glad to help us. The location is a bit from the centre but the close public beach was perfect for us. Calm and really nice for our needs. Great view and terrance in our big room as well.

The hilly walk to Santa Margeritha might not fit everyone, but not an issue for us. Perfect for our runs and the public beach is more nice than the costly beaches in the centre.
