We picked the room with the large terrace which was certainly large! The view was gorgeous. My friend and I had to work while we were there for a couple of days and the terrace made for a perfect office! The room was cleaned meticulously every day. The staff are the best thing about this property! They are so lovely and were so helpful with restaurant suggestions and making bookings for us. Breakfast was also lovely.

The location is lovely between Rapallo & Santa Margherita however the walk to/from the towns does require a hill in the heat. Alternatively, the buses stop right outside so we used them a lot! Hot tip- if getting the bus to Portofino, get on the bus at the first stop as they are full by the time they get to Santa Margherita port, or walk!

In a very expensive area, L'Approdo is such good value for money. Yes, it's simple - but it's all you need as a base to explore the area. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and neatly kept. The staff are outstanding...really friendly and helpful. We were on the 4th floor and the view was great. Noise not an issue. We didn't have breakfast but coffee was good. All in all this hotel was perfect for what we needed and great value. If you want a pool, beach acess etc in the area, be prepared to pay double the cost of L'Approdo.

The road can be busy and tough to cross. A minor issue really.

The location and view is spectacular from the balcony. We had a room on the top floor which I highly recommend. The first 2 floors may not have the view we had. The room was extremely clean and bright and the cleaning staff was more than accomodating with extra towels and pillows. The staff was very helpful with any and all questions providing great service . The beach is any easy walk across the street. Go to the church and turn right or left. To the right is a small public beach which is very nice and quiet. To the left is another public beach which has a very good place to eat & drink with tables. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel making travel easy to Rapallo. This is a fantastic boutique hotel.

I really didn't like anything, The only down sides I can think of. The hotel is on a somewhat busy road with some traffic noise which dies down early in the evening but you can also watch the scooters whizzing down the hill foe entertainment.All the hotels we saw were on the same road. There is a 7.00eu charge for beach towels to cover cleaning. We got 2 towels for the week.

We booked this hotel quite late on our holiday. The staff was great, friendly and always glad to help us. The location is a bit from the centre but the close public beach was perfect for us. Calm and really nice for our needs. Great view and terrance in our big room as well.

The hilly walk to Santa Margeritha might not fit everyone, but not an issue for us. Perfect for our runs and the public beach is more nice than the costly beaches in the centre.

Beautiful modern, clean and large room with balcony and sea view. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Beautiful location very easy for transport - bus to Rapello train station stops immediately outside hotel. Absolutely beautiful area of Italy - 5 mins on bus or 30 mins walking to Rapello, and 20 min walk to Santa Margarita . in comparison with some other similar star hotels in the area I think this hotel is good value.

Very nice hotel. Staff at reception extremely kind and nice and ready to help. You’ll find everything that's needed in the room. The room was really clean, the main factor for me. The terrace on the top floor was incredible. it made 7 star experience with 3 star hotel.

Breakfast has a limited menu, that is you could not order something hot like omelet or fried eggs or fresh juice - they do not have restaurant at the place. But you could find it around. So no problems). Shower cubicle is rather small. But absolutely ok for 3-star hotel.

Amazing staff who were extremely pleasant, friendly and made us feel very welcome for the entirety of our stay, thankyou! Nice, varied breakfast. Our room and the hotel in general were so clean and we had an amazing sea view from our room.

The location was perfect, the staff were extremely friendly, and helpful about the local area, getting around, transport etc. The breakfast was lovely, great variety of delicious fresh food, and coffee. Perfect start to the day having breakfast on the lovely terrace with views overlooking the sea. The rooms are airy and bright with great views looking out to sea. The hotel was absolutely spotless, everything was clean and fresh. Thank you.

Thank you very much, staff is amazing and very frendly they are always motivate to help you if you need something. Hotel is very clean and amazing location, near the beach and near the Santa margharuita liguria. We are happy that we chose this Hotel.

Staff were super and so friendly. They really went above and beyond for us. Right on the hill between Rapallo and Santa Magherita (it’s steep!).

Understandably they wanted to minimise wastage but as a result, the breakfast options were reduced if you came down towards the end of the breakfast times (get there early and there is plenty to choose from). Dinner recommendation the first night was really poor (three nearest restaurants aren’t great) however the last nights recommendation was good.
