Parking with valet. A sense of old luxury hotel. Location practical to visit the center by walk. Nice staff and helpful.

A bit old fashioned and it is pricey when you add parking and local taxes (ok I knew prices but was hoping more wow from the hotel). None of 2 jacuzzis on the terrasses were functioning (no water at all in them) and the swimming pool from the photos is on the spa indeed. I could not taste the breakfast as I had to leave early, about 7am, and no option is proposed in this case while I paid for breakfast.

We chose this hotel as we were taking our cruise the next day, and it did not disappoint. The rooftop offered spectacular views, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi while watching our cruise ship arrive. As expected for a 5-star hotel, prices are high, but the cocktails were fantastic. The beds and facilities were very comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly.

The only downside was the street in front of the hotel—it’s busy with traffic and currently under construction, with a very narrow sidewalk. We had to park in the upper parking area, which involved a steep slope for carrying our luggage. Despite this, the overall experience was wonderful and the views truly unforgettable.

This was our second visit (previous visit was in 2019) to the Grand Hotel Savoia. The breakfast lounge has been remodeled with lighter, bright colors. There was a large selection of food items. I seem to remember, though I may be wrong, that there was a dedicated cook for preparing individual egg requests, but I didn't find this a negative. The room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel's location served our needs perfectly, easy access for arriving by car.

I have two minor comments about the room. The short flush button on the toilet was broken, so one had to fiddle with the long flush button to get a short flush. Also, the plastic liquid soap bottle in the shower (bathtub) was cracked in such a way that you could not use the application dispenser, but had to remove it to pour the liquid soap from the bottle.

The room was lovely and clean, and the hotel itself is charming. It s very close to the train station which is great with baggaes but a fair walk to the central part. Loved the rooftop hot tub and bar, the service was very good there.

I didn't feel that this was 5-star exactly; the desk staff were helpful, but the service wasn't the best. The rooms were nice, but I don't think it was total value for the money charged. Although conveniently located by the train station, it is a fair walk to the central part and highly recommended restaurants/bars

The hotel is just by the train station which made it a practical solution for us. We found it easy to get to the sites we wanted. The staff were friendly and allowed us to check-in early as our room was already ready. The check-in and out processes were quick and easy. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a lovely lounge/bar with live piano music in the evening. And two restaurant options. The breakfast buffet was extensive and had good gluten and lactose free options. I can only recommend this hotel further.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good and we were greeted every morning with a big smile from Sorina, the head waiter. The hotels location is ideal as it is close to the railway station ( if you are planning on visiting Cinque Terre by train), the harbour(for visiting Portofino by boat) and the hop on hop off bus. The hotel also boasts a nice rooftop bar with a great view of Genoa.

An absolutely stunning and quintessentially Italian hotel located a stones throw from the train station. On arrival we were greeted by one of the lovely reception staff who made us feel very welcome and told us all about what the hotel can offer. After making our way up to our room and kicking our shoes off, we had a knock at the door and were very grateful for a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our Honeymoon. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace where you can relax, take in the sounds of the city and look at the stunning views of the surrounding area. We were very happy to have stayed at the Savoia, and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are near to Genoa in the future.

A lovely formerly grand hotel that has kept its charm, timeless and elegant design. Fantastic location within walking distances of most historical Genoa interests (and train station right across the street!), friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful bar, delicious (and lovely) breakfast! Clean and comfortable rooms. Gorgeous bathroom!!

Some may say she is a little “tired” (older squeaky floors) but I also feel that is what’s most charming about her. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff is really kind, they go extra mile to make you feel at home. The breakfast is really varied. The products in the bathroom smell wonderfully. It is very close to the harbour and to a train station. There is a bar at the entrance that feels like the Titanic. The bed is like a cloud in heaven. We are really happy about our choice. As a small downside, the water the first day was not as hot as the rest of the days and the elevators sometimes take a bit long to come.
