the hotel is an old palace (from 18XX) that now is serving as a hotel. The ceiling roof is fantastic, its height is around 5m. There is a toilet (very nice) inside the large room (which has 3 beds (1 double and 1 single). There is AC working (that week was very hot in Italy, higher than 30 C). There is no breakfast, but there are a room that is available for the guests (microoven, fridge). The location is good but not excellent. The Porto Antigo is very dirty when you compare with Mediavel District (which I recomend). But the city is very nice has excellent places to visit. I booked a car park which is around 200 m from the hotel (Columbus Garage).

Well, the stairs (4 pieces) for a someone with 65 years old take in account...I think that this is the negative point, although I was aware, someone wrote it before. If you are younger, no doubt to choose this hotel

Excellent location: at the edge of the city centre meaning that it wasn't that touristy but was still within walking distance to the main attractions. There were excellent breakfast places next door. Friendly staff and awesome room: high ceilings, nice furniture and a really comfy bathroom. The room also had a small living space with a sofa and tv, which we didn't use but was nice to have. Staff was extremely responsive on the Booking chat and booked us a spot in a nearby garage that came in extremely handy.

The only downsides were: the second bed had a slightly uncomfortable mattress - though the main, double bed was great; also, there was a restaurant with an outside area right under our window, which meant that it was quite noisy until midnight and we chose to keep the window closed for that reason. This is not their fault but I think it's worth mentioning.

Very very close to the town centre and to all main Genoa highlights . and attractions. Just 5 minutes walk to main train station and Ancient Port attraction. Cosy room not too large, but it was a single room …all facilities available such as tea facility hairdresser, many soft and clean bath towels. Also a packet of typical cookies to welcome the guest! Staff like Roberta and Dario super helpful with precious suggestions at all times. There is also a spare room available for eating tour own food. A water dispenser always available for refilling your plastic bottle! All in all the best accomodation I can suggest to anyone Who plan to Visit the Amazing town of Genoa. I’ll definitely be back very soon!

Just a little issue with the flush of my toilet, but nothing serious. I promptly warned one of the staff about that and I’m sure he had fixed immediately

Both the room and the bathroom were spacious which was great. Location really good with a bar or foccaceria just downstairs to take breakfast (no breakfast offered in the hotel)

The hotel is located on second floor of an old style building (high ceilings) and there is no elevator available. There are quite some steps so if you travel with a big luggage or don’t go well with climbing the stairs that might not be ideal

Close to airport and Cruise port. Super kind and friendly staff on reception who could not do enough to help. Communication before arrival was excellent and we were shown to our room, given a map and directions for next morning. Beautiful room with very clean and comfortable beds, spotless bathroom and lots of space. Fridge, Tea and coffee making in room with biscuits although there was no milk. Lots of traffic noise from street outside however we did get some sleep. It would be helpful to add to the listing prio to booking that there are three small followed by three large flights of stairs to access the hotel and no lift. We just about managed with luggage and mobility aid however someone more disabled than I am or family with pushchairs and small children may not be able to.

Splendid old hotel of a gracious and elegant antiquity that has largely vanished from the rest of Italy, and therefore all the more a joy to discover. Wonderfully charming and helpful woman at the Reception desk who could not be more generous with excellent restaurant suggestions and patient explanations of how to find them. Very quiet at night and superb value for such a central location, immediately adjacent to the university and the historic port.

Nothing worthy of comment.

I loved how the owners keep the property authentic when it comes to decorating and furniture. Beds were comfortable, staff couldn’t do more to help. slight issue with our shower and they resolved it straight away by the time we got back in the evening. The male receptionist had very valuable insights on what to do with your time in Genoa and provided a great presentation with a map. So overall an amazing stay.

Can’t fault anything about our stay.

Family like atmosphere. The room and the bathroom were clean. Lovely, caring staff. Both Tiziana and the gentleman were super nice and made me feel welcome. It feels safe to stay there. Although the area is renowned for being a little sleazy, the road is broad and preferable to the vicoli.

A bit dated but it felt ok. Some mould/peeling paint in the bathroom ceiling.

Good location, palazzo feeling with the rooms being 5m tall, amazing staff. Good location, we easily walked with luggage from the train station, than very good point to start wandering around Centro storico.

A bit noisy from the street, there's buses going on all night - have never heard such noisy buses.

Being a historical building it is a nice experience. The historic ceiling of our room was amazing. The best of all was the ample attention of Patrick and Roberta. It was a very a nice thing to have a selection of teas, a kettle and a small fridge.

That being in a third floor not having a lift is very inconvenience , specially for elderly guests.
