Room was nice considering the budget. The staff were excellent, friendly, professional and helpful. Absolutely loved the decor of the communal areas, with the music theming. Location was good if using the door to the main road (you obtain a key and code after checking in). Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. The room was clean and (despite many reviews claiming the contrary) there wasn't a bed bug in sight (and we checked thoroughly!!) DON'T BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!

Probably unavoidable, but the main reception is accessible through a dark and unsettling alleyway, which was not ideal. However, once inside the decor is brilliant and you can come and go via the door to the main road. The double bed was quite creaky but this was a minor concern!

I booked this hotel in Genova for a trip with my sister, but due to an unexpected change, I ended up going alone. In the end, it turned out to be one of the best surprises in Italy. The hotel's location is great: just a seven-minute walk from the Piazza Principe station, a few steps from the charming historic center, several museums, and right outside the hotel’s front entrance, just cross the avenue and you’re at the Porto Antico, home to the must-see Genova Aquarium, great restaurants, and a beautiful waterfront view. After about two hours of walking, stopping for a gelato here and there, I made it to the city’s seaside promenade — stunning all the way through — and about an hour later, I reached Boccadasse, on the eastern edge of the city. The historic center is fascinating — the layout is full of character, and it’s actually gamified: you’ll find QR codes that lead you to more hidden spots to explore. The highlight of my stay was the hosts: two warm, attentive gentlemen with a deep love for music and football. They welcomed me with great kindness and shared stories about Genovese music — that’s how I found out that singer Fabrizio De André, that I often listen on my Italian classes, was from Genova. I left an even bigger fan. The room and bathroom were exactly the size I needed — everything was very clean and quiet. Since I stayed only a short time, I didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast or the common areas, filled with records, instruments, and music references. My favorite detail was a Stairway to Heaven poster by Led Zeppelin, right in front of the staircase leading to the rooms. I left completely enchanted by Genova, wishing I had explored more of the city. Now I know exactly where I’ll stay next time!

Exceptionally friendly staff and location was excellant

Have to be honest, the main entrance to the Hotel is not in a nice street. Once you check in, you have a key for the entrance on the main Road and I suggest you use this door, it takes you into the building and you have a code to enter the Hotel.but I felt safer than using tbe main entrance to the Hotel. I don't like leaving g negative comments, but I just did not feel safe outside the Hotel entrance.

Clean, and everybody was very friendly!

The location was very central, however, it was located in a place where a lot of people had very antisocial behaviour and drug consumption. It is not a problem of the hotel, but the authorities must control that because it looks so bad and ruins the place, especially the entrance to the Hotel.

Excellent staff, clean. 15 min walking to the historical center and train station.

Even though the hotel is located a short distance to the historical center, the neighborhood is not so good, you have to watch yourself, a lot of unsavory characters around. Every night the loud noise was coming from the street up to 3 o'clock in the morning.

It was much more than we expected. Price was very reasonable. When we arrived, we had to enter thru two very old large Hammered doors that looked Ancient. We rang bell and someone opened the door. In front of us was a tall staircase to go up to check in and, thank goodness we were helped with our luggage. The waiting area was so exciting and unusual with old records and instruments all over the walls. Many steps to our room that was very clean and neat and comfortable. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A very fun remembrance of our trip.

The staff was good and helping. Could book it on the go as our previous booking was turned out to be fraud for other place on the same street.

Rooms are very small. Lights are not proper. Location is not good. It will feel like a slum in the city where the other sides are so beautiful - this section and the road is dark, gloomy and full of drug eddicts.

Right in the centre, easy access and properly marked location, clean and fully furnished room. Metro as well as bus stop were near. Right on the Main Street so little more noise, but not enough to actually disturb us. Great that AC was in the room and working.

Friendly and helpful staff. All the facilities were great. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Great location for visiting aquarium and other sites in Genoa.

Cool, comfortable and spacious.

The backstreet was quite loud of an evening as well as noises from running taps which you got used to. (Not at the fault of the hotel- lovely staff and cool atmosphere inside!)
