You could not find a better location for your visit to Genoa. Walkable from Piazza Principe station (or a #34 bus ride away) and so close to the heart of everything. The triple room was an ample size for me and my 2 boys (18 & 9) with a small terrace on hand for sitting out in the evening. The room air con was a total godsend! Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient to set the day up and the staff were very friendly. My eldest made good use of the onsite gym, which kept him happy (well, less of a grumpy teen!). I highly recommend Hotel Cairoli and look forward to coming back again one day.

There is nothing I can think of

Hotel Cairoli is very centrally located so it's easy to walk most anywhere. I enjoyed multiple walks down Garibaldi, just a few blocks from the hotel, while admiring all of the palaces. The hotel was very clean with friendly and helpful staff. I especially appreciated the recommendations for where to get good meals, pasta specifically. Breakfast is 10 euro more, so is affordable and convenient.

The only thing I didn't like, and it may have been more specific to my room, is there was a strong smell of bleach. I left the window open most of the day to try to air it out, and asked not to have cleaning staff come in as I didn't want even more of the smell. It could have been unusual, but I'm sensitive to strong smells. Otherwise, I had a very nice stay and would return in the future.

Very good location for walking around the Old Town and key sites. 15 minutes takes you to the Old Port and similarly to the main station. Close to the Palazzi Rosso and Bianca - both wonderful art galleries. Good selection of small restaurants within easy walking distance.

Our double bed was up against the wall on one side! Should have asked for a change of room, but it was workable.

A lovely, old family hotel with friendly, professional staff. Great, safe location. Lovely choice for breakfast. Comfortable room with a terrace. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have a beautiful lounge area to sit in. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay and explore Genova from. Excellent suggestion of a lovely restaurant in the next street and a supermarket nearby. I would definitely stay again.

The guy at the reception was very friendly, and helped us with many things, the room was comfy and had a fridge with drinks. very good location. very beautiful surroundings.

The name of the parking that the staff told us was incorrect at first, so we had to drive around Genova for quite a bit, they told us to put in Google maps "Garage Minerva" when it was called "Park Minerva", but "Garage Minerva" also exists, so we were confused by that. The bathroom is quite small, and for tall people as us coúldnt properly use it. Wifi almost dint work at all, it worked for 1hr then we had to use our mobile data.

Great location in the old city center, in walking distance to everything Genova has to offer. We enjoyed a two bedroom apartment inside the hotel, with plenty of space for a family of four and a fully equipped kitchen. A/C units are available in each room. The staff was very friendly and had plenty of recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Be prepared to take the stairs … the elevator is on the smaller side.

Location was great, close to railway station, city centre and port. Buffet breakfast was excellent and well worth paying extra for. Our family rooms was actually two interconnected rooms which was ideal for a family of four. Nice lounge area and roof terrace.

It is not very clear how to reach the hotel (on the third floor) once you go through the main door from the street. A few signs would help, as we climbed the wrong staircase, with our luggage, not realising that there was a lift!

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town, making it convenient for exploring the area. The room was clean and met all of our basic needs, though it's best to set your expectations slightly lower than a typical 3-star hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with the essentials covered.

The hotel is maintained with love and attention to details. The first thing I liked was the interior. I am not keen on culture history, but they picked a particular period of art (something around the culmination of dadaism, probably) and all the colours of the hotel and room decorations are trying to conform it. The staff was really nice also, polite and kind! And a beautiful balcony with lemon tree, and a common room with comfy sofas - lovely.

I bet the rooms are very different here and I was not that lucky, honestly. Bed was uncomfortable, outside was always sound of water leaking from somewhere, the position of sockets doesn't really make sense, and to read in bed I had to move the lamp with stretching the wire. Sound isolation is almost zero. I would pay less for this room for sure.

The location is the best you can stay in Genova. The hotel facilities meet all the standards a 3-star hotel should offer. The owners and staff are kind, well-responsive, and helpful, and go above and beyond to accommodate your requests and answer your questions. Very clean hotel. I often visit Genova for work and this is the best place I have stayed so far and will be my first choice in the future.
