The hotel is located in an old building near the historic port, which actually adds a unique charm to the place. Everything inside is quite minimalist. The elevator fits two people (and some luggage), and the hallways are narrow enough that it’s hard to pass someone else—but as mentioned, it all adds to the character of the hotel. Another great advantage is the location. Old Town, historic port and train station are all within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Our room had been renovated, though the ceiling retained its classic style, which we really appreciated. The room was equipped with all the amenities listed in the description. In the fridge, we found two complimentary bottles of water—one still and one sparkling. The bed was comfortable, which allowed us to start each day well-rested and ready to explore Genoa.

Now, a few things that we didn’t fully like—though these are more suggestions for improvement rather than serious complaints, and they don’t significantly affect our overall rating. The room wasn't as clean as we expected, as the floor was quite dusty when we first entered. Also, to access the bathroom, you have to step over a fairly high threshold—about 30 cm—which could be a bit unsafe. It would be helpful to add a smaller step there to make it easier and safer to enter.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We have a small balcony and the view was very nice. They prepared the baby bed for us and we had space to stay with the baby. There was air conditioning during our stay in June, so it was nice to have it in order to sleep as the weather outside was really hot. The address is excellent in the center of the city, easy to access to all touristic places of the city. Very pleasant stay.

The breakfast was lack of variety. The AC in our room was leaking some water the first day and then it was fixed.

Excellent value for money, very friendly and helpful staff, clean and a perfect location if you want to explore Genoa on foot, ideal for a short stay. Will definitely use it again when travelling through Genoa.

There is nothing to complain about, really, a little bit of a simple breakfast, and the hotel is old, but I personally didn't need more for the one night stay, and the positives definitely outweighed the minor negatives. I wasn't expecting more, actually wasn't sure about the quality and location for a solo traveller, but it turned out to be over the expectations.

not recommended for those seeking quietness due to the not-so-soundproof walls and windows that let other guests' conversations leak through, plus there is a drinking place nearby that might disturb your night as it seems to be still open past midnight. still, the hotel is not a wrong choice for those who do not mind background noises while sleeping, especially when fatigued after a long day outside.

This is the second time that I have stayed here. I like where it is in Genova. Not far from the station,bus stop outside, near to the harbour,pier,aquarium. Lots of places to eat nearby. Rooms are good but dull colour scheme makes them drab. Beds are comfortable. Some noise from outside but it is a busy city. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean. It's a proper old fashioned Italian hotel and I like that.

Lack of good fresh fruit at breakfast. They could cut down on cake varieties and have some melon slices or berries. The bananas were massive,apples wrinkly and oranges difficult to peel without getting in a sticky mess. The orange juicer has been removed from the breakfast room so you now have to ask a staff member if you want some freshly squeezed juice. It is a shame as people quite like to do that.

The hotel was in easy walking distance of the railway station. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who helped us with things to see and areas to go. We really appreciated that. As we arrived rather early, the hotel let us store our luggage whilst we had a wander and waited for our room to be prepared. The room was comfortable and air conditioning was a plus. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean. The cleaning staff were very courteous and friendly, so a thank-you to them. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff around assisting. Croissants, cheeses, hams, bread, salad, coffee, fruit juices, etc. My wife and I didn't over indulge and we ate everything on our plates and felt "full". This, in our opinion, is a plus of the hotel for the price. The location: easy to walk to the marina front, to the old city, etc. We walked miles and miles whilst there and found the whole place very interesting and worthwhile for us visiting it.

All was good for us; overall a very friendly hotel and nothing we didn't dislike (apart from the lift, that if you touch it, it stops! Freaked my poor wife out when I touched it "accidentally"!! BUT, there are instructions on what to do so its NOT an issue!)

We were placed in a huge room that spanned three separate rooms (we had booked to stay in a double room) which was virtually an apartment. We weren’t sure if this was an upgrade, but the space was incredible. The location of this hotel is perfect - centred between both main train stations which are roughly a ten minute walk either side, or a short metro trip. The waterfront is also a five to ten minute walk away, and there is a beautiful ascent to a lookout which takes about 15mins to get to from the hotel. The staff were amazing and super helpful with guiding us on where to get our washing done, and organising a taxi to the FlixBus bus stop for an early morning departure following our final day in Genoa. The breakfast was lovely, too. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience.

The shower fluctuated between hot and cold. Unsure if this was due to high usage across the hotel at that time.

- We were located on the 4th floor and had a wonderful view of the Santissima Annunziata del Vastato church (just across the street). - Breakfast was great. Variety of fresh pastries, cold cuts and cheese, and a very cool coffee machine that made excellent cappuccinos! - Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk workers would always greet us and the staff during breakfast were so polite and would strike up a conversation with us. - Very close walk to Porto Antico and the Genoa Aquarium. We could access some nice areas of the city, such as piazzas, stores and restaurants, all on foot. - Room was quiet. Despite us overlooking a busy street we didn't hear any of the noise as we slept. - Having such a nice hotel allowed us to enjoy all of Genoa's charm.

- Wifi signal was weak in the room but it worked well in the lobby. - Elevator was pretty small, we had to bring our luggages up in multiple trips. Stairs were also quite steep.

Good centrally located hotel. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Good air con in room.

The bed had a memory foam mattress which doesn’t suit my back. The bathroom in my room was extremely cramped, and it was difficult to sit on the toilet with the sink right up against it. My room was very dark as the window faced onto a narrow alleyway.

Facilitated an early check in without any fuss. Room spacious. Shower super powerful. Location great for railway travel and also exploring the city and marine areas. Responsive to request for housekeeping to provide a softer pillow. Special thanks to Manager "Dado?" (Sure I got his name wrong!) for his attentive service.
