Awesome staff, they spoke good english and were so lovely. It was so easy to talk with them and ask questions. The room was great, I love the air conditioning. There was enough space to put luggage in. The walls are thin, so if you are a person who wakes up easily for noises, be aware of this. It didn't bother me. This place was so nice to stay in! Breakfast was in the cafeteria outside in lovely views.

To improve the experience in the future, it would be great to have cups for drinking and washing teeth. There was some dust in the lamps, so maybe a little bit more thorough cleaning would help it.

I had such a great stay at Hotel Doria! The front desk lady was so warm and welcoming, which made checking in a breeze. The room was much bigger than I expected, super clean, modern, and really cozy—perfect for the cold weather. Breakfast was well worth it, especially the salty options with lots of prosciutto—such a nice touch! What really stood out was how thoughtful and flexible the staff was. The weather was bad on my last day, and they were kind enough to offer a late checkout without any fuss. They even called me a cab, which made everything so much easier. Honestly, for the price, this place is amazing value—comfortable, well-located, and with genuinely great service. Would absolutely stay again! 😊

Gioia greeted us on our arrival, she was lovely and so helpful & friendly during our stay. The room was perfect and there was plenty of room for the two of us. There was a fridge downstairs in the reception area and you could help yourself to beers, soft drinks and water all reasonably price and settle up payment at the end of your stay, all done on honesty. The hotel was situated very conveniently for visiting the centre of Genoa, a short walk to Piazza De Ferrari.

Excellent location: in a quiet Viale off Piazza dei Garibaldi in the city centre; easily accessible by Metro from Brignole & Il Principe rail stations. Easy walking distance to other parts of the central area and down to the lively harbour area. Hotel staff went beyond the call of duty by offering to carry luggage up the steep staircase to the square above.

To access the hotel front door one has to descend a steep flight of steps on the lane outside...a bit awkward with heavy luggage and for the elderly/infirm.

The hotel and staff were amazing. Just an aside, but a mirror in the bedroom would have been nice. The location is also amazing. We took the Volabus direct from the airport, approximately 20 mins and it dropped us in the main Ferrari Square. The hotel is a three minute walk from the stop. We also took the bus on our return. Also, worth noting is that the breakfast is not served in the hotel but a lovely cafe attached to the Opera House. Two mins from the hotel. As it is a cafe/patisserie, continental breakfast only was served. We would have liked more fruit/cooked choice options.

The staff here couldn't do enough to help us. They really made this an exceptional stay. They answered all of our questions and had some great advice about where to eat and what to see. The hotel itself is in a perfect position to explore the old town and is only a few minutes away from all of the big sights. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Genova.

This cosy hotel is in a fantastic location in the city's centre; it is in one of the famous Genova's "caruggi", very near the main square, so every place is easily reachable on foot or by bus. The room was small but looked good; the bed was really comfortable. The price is very reasonable, especially for that area. The breakfast is served in a nearby nice cafeteria.

There was no bidet in my room (they told me there is one in all the other rooms) and no desk, even small. Having breakfast outside was a small inconvenience for me, as I have the habit of having breakfast first thing in the morning and then going back to my room to brush my teeth, etc. The real problem, however, was that the room was really too hot, where the temperature seemed to be adjustable but in practice was not. I hope this problem will be fixed, as I intend to go there again in the future. Luckily, I had a shower cap with me; it would be nice to provide one and some tissues as well.

Great location in a quiet old alley. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful both upon arrival and check-out. I forgot my iPad in the room and they contacted me while I was just a few minutes away so I was able to go back and get it.

Not a complaint just a heads up to other travellers who prefer savory breakfast, the breakfast in this hotel is mostly sweet stuff (but the price is unbeatable)

We were greeted with friendly, helpful and warm reception staff and given lots of helpful information and maps. We loved the hotel for its location to the city centre, our comfortable room, the staff, the elevator and its clean and modern decor. It has a lovely restaurant and outdoor area for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others

Just a few steps down from the street but we only had carry on suitcases so it was easy for us.

Reception team were friendly and helpful. Room was modern (refurbished) with very good shower and quality towels and shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.. Bed was very comfortable. Entry to the hotel main entrance at night and our room was by pin code so no keys to carry. Location was very good except access from main road was by stairs. There is a way around past the Britannia Pub (worth a visit). turn 1st left down a little alleyway and left again.

Room was small with little storage space for clothes.
