Great location and atmosphere! Friendly staff. The parking service provided by the hotel.

Narrow entrance and small and slow elevators. We have two babies, and our twin stroller was too big for the main entrance and the elevators. This is never a problem in Scandinavia, as public buildings have universal design requirements. But at hotel Bristol Palace we had to dismantle the stroller to enter/exit the hotel, and to use the elevators. This is only a problem for a very limited number of people (with large wheelchairs, or twin strollers), but it sure gave us a lot of extra work.

It really is a beautiful hotel, location was great and staff were excellent.

AC just didn’t work well. They did upgrade us to a nicer room which was appreciated but that room also didn’t have adequate ac. Didn’t want to bother the staff again so we just kept window open until right before bed to cool it down but still tended to get hot. The other item that could use serious improvement is the television. It’s small and only has a couple of English channels - and not good ones. We don’t travel to watch TV but do like to watch a bit before going to sleep so something like Netflix at least wouod be appreciated.

Excellent service , friendly and very professional staff at reception, bar , vallet parking and housekeeping , high quality hotel. Bathroom was very good , clean and high quality. Very good beds ( mattress and lines ) but pillows could be better. Perfect location .

We have got too many mails with updates and ads ( 17 ) before arrival and during stay even that I asked to be unsubscribed ( which has been ignored ) No heating starting in April , but solved quickly by reception and housekeeping with a mobile heating for our room. Noisy in the morning. We were woken up by vacuum cleaner around 9 a.m.

I liked the architecture and old luxury style of the hotel, the friendly and professional staff, the wonderful staircase which is very charming and the rooms with high ceilings, that are also charming and have pretty much everything you need.

Even though our room's windows weren't at the main street the hotel is on, where most of the nearby traffic is, there was still some traffic noise at night. The heating system could be better (it's based on old built-in airconditioning, which isn't the best way to heat a high room), but I guess it's never very cold in Genova.

We adored the Hotel Bristol, so charming and characterful, and Matteo and all the staff made us feel immediately at home, welcoming us after a long road trip from London. We had perfect suggestions from him which opened the city to us in an invaluable way and we even managed to find a skateboard for my son’s birthday thanks to his brilliant knowledge of Genova. Being artists my husband and I found the Art Nouveau staircase marvellous (no wonder Hitchcock was inspired) and the view from our room over the rooftops of Genova was glorious. We were steps away from all the main sights and the hospitality we experienced was the kind one always hopes to find but is a rare gem these days. The breakfast team even found a Teddy for my son’s birthday which made him so happy. Grand elegant hotels with such a warm fun atmosphere are a treat to come across and we loved the fact that this one has retained its character. Genova was a true delight and a highlight of our trip to the Italian riviera.

Service: The staff at Bristol Palace were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always eager to assist. Whether it was recommendations for local restaurants, arranging transportation, or ensuring my stay was comfortable, their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident. Dining: The hotel’s breakfast buffet was an absolute treat, with a wide selection of fresh, high-quality options to suit every palate. Atmosphere: Staying at Bristol Palace feels like stepping back in time, with its opulent decor and unique ambiance, yet it also offers all the modern conveniences you could need. It’s a perfect blend of charm and comfort. Overall, my stay at the Bristol Palace Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Genoa, whether for business or leisure. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience in itself. I can’t wait to return!

This hotel is set in a historic building in the center of Genoa, near to Piazza De Ferrari, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, Cristopher Colombus' birth house, and all the other historic sites. The rooms are decorated with classical furnishings matching the building's interior. The staff is very engaging and helpful.

Facilities provided are not adequate for a 5-star hotel - the coffee in the room is instant Nestle with boiling water from a kettle, the shower head design and the whole bathroom layout is awkward, soundproofing could be better, and the effort signing in to the WIFI is a joke. It seems impossible to adjust the temperature in the room. Certain egg selections for the otherwise good and plentiful breakfast cost extra.

The character of the building is mirrored in the professionally handling and very appropriate manner of the staff. Even as I ran late to give the Portier my Car to let him park it in their Garage (which is phenomenally Kind of them, to still worship the old manners), and could not use my paid and safe parking spot, they checked all data and provided me a kind of voucher for the unused service. Even the Staff which was not confronted with this direkt interaction, knew about the situation and had a very delightful manner towards me and all other guests. Special thanks to the Housekeeping, they are around from 8 AM to 8 PM if I remember correctly. Don’t forget to at least give them a tip once in your stay, same as Service, Portier, Reception and other Staff members. Nothing while my stay.

Great location. Very nice peaple at the reception and at breakfast. Very clean room. Every evening a Lady knocked on the door and asked if we need anything. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. The bathroom was renovated and Beautiful.

The soundproofing of the room is very poor, we head a lot of noise from the street and from the other rooms. At a 5 star hotel we expect to have a coffee machine in the room . The water pressure in the shower was low. The parking is 29€ for each day. The wifi require personal details.

The food was delicious. A beautiful and plentiful breakfast buffet laid out each day. We ate in the restaurant one night which was very good if a bit quiet but fine for us. Very comfortable beds and we had good nights sleep. We liked the grandiose feel of the hotel as we came in and the stairway. Very conveniently located for everything, near the metro and very central.

The handle in the shower on the wall seemed badly placed so every time we turned around, it got knocked and turned off or went cold which is why I marked it 9 instead of 10. But in the grand scheme of things this is a minor issue.
