The hotel is in a prime location for all Genova's amenities and definitely deserves its 5 star rating. It was a pleasure to step into the art nouveau grandeur and to walk in the footsteps of Alfred Hitchcock on the amazing staircase. Outstanding customer service from all staff at Hotel Bristol, nothing is too much trouble. A particular mention for our friend, Ivan, who runs the Old Fashioned bar. A true gentleman and a connoisseur who mixes extraordinary cocktails. Also, our thanks to the breakfast staff, who go out of their way to cater to every guest's needs. Rooms are extremely well-appointed and spacious, daily cleaning, robes and slippers, a bonus as well as complimentary bed turn down and evening housekeeping check. We cannot fault the hotel, we were sad to say arrivaderci.

Very good service..excellent location. Loved the hotel decor, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. Higher floor rooms are better, so you dont hear much street noise.

The room door was quite thin, so it had poor insulation. Lot's of noise in the morning coming from the corridor. Breakfast is too expensive. The restaurant menu seemed fine, and it is in a nice room but not used to potential. For example, it could have more intimate lighting, more elegant table arrangements & better spaced tables We were initially thinking of eating there, but we decided to go to Zeffirino ( which was amazing).

The hotel is amazing with a unique historical ambiance. The staff were so nice, helpful and they speak good English. Breakfast buffet was included and it was excellent, Carlos was very helpful. he contacted booking.com and canceled the double booking that was done by Booking.com. We would definatly stay there again because it is a unique building in a very great area full with tourists, bars, and restaurants. Safe area.

The housekeeper was not friendly at all. We stayed in a Junior suite which did not have shower Gel nor Shampoo. She brought an extra set of towels, lotions and other little stuff in small black boxes, when she came back to the room she fixed the sofa bed and took them all away!!. We couldn't sleep because the air conditioner kept making a loud whistling sound every 30 to 45 minutes all night long. I do not believe that the receiptionists or maintenance did not know about room 441 and the trouble with the A/C. I called the reeiption and they send someone who fixed it rightaway. One of the window's latch is broken and cannot be shut which added more street noise.

Firstly, the location is incredible - right in the middle of the Old Town. Also, it’s a breathtaking building with a classic design. We also thought our room was very big and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and A/C. The breakfast was a good quality buffet and it was enjoyable to sit on the terrace whilst eating it.

A few small issues prevent me from awarding it 10/10 - my wife has minor issues with the WiFi whilst working, and I would have like slightly more variety at breakfast. However, overall it is a great hotel and I recommend you staying here

I recently stayed at Hotel Bristol in Genoa and had a very good experience overall. This is a truly beautiful, historic hotel with a stunning Belle Époque style throughout. The highlight for many—including me—is the incredible Art Nouveau staircase at the center of the building. It’s absolutely worth seeing and adds so much character to the hotel. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful at all times. I especially appreciated the restaurant staff, who were smiling, attentive, and spoke excellent English. I had made a last-minute reservation for dinner, and they kindly accommodated me without any fuss. The food at dinner was tasty, although I didn’t try the wines. My room was absolutely enormous, with two double beds, a huge sofa, a writing desk, and a separate bathroom. The only slight drawback is that, while the bedroom is vast, the bathroom is quite small by comparison. It would have been nice if there was a bathtub, but realistically, there probably isn’t space for one given the layout. My room didn’t have a balcony, though I know some rooms do. The style of the hotel is very opulent and classic, with beautiful décor throughout. The breakfast room is the same as the restaurant and is gorgeous, featuring ceiling frescoes and large windows overlooking the main square. There’s also a terrace, which unfortunately wasn’t open during my stay due to a thunderstorm. Breakfast was nice overall. I’ve heard it used to be more lavish in the past, and it might be nice if there were a few more choices, as the selection could feel a bit repetitive if you stayed for several days. Still, it had everything you’d generally want or need. A couple of small improvements could make the stay even better. For instance, the in-room TV was a modern digital model, but it didn’t offer streaming services like Netflix, Prime, or YouTube, which many top-end hotels now include. The location of Hotel Bristol is excellent.

Fantastic location in the heart of the city. Beautiful classic hotel with the most gorgeous staircase imaginable. The breakfast is superb with an array of choices. Our room was comfortable and very clean.

Hotel WiFi just did not work on the 3rd floor . After complaining we were moved to an upper floor and that fixed the problem. The staff were aware there were issues with WiFi on lower floors so this is a problem the hotel should be addressing so all guests on all floors can enjoy the hotel free WiFi.

Beautiful old hotel in a very convenient location that near shops and restaurants. Felt very safe here.

They forgot to top up our coffee pods daily and also the water in the minibar so when I called to purchase some more water the staff member initially was a little hostile saying I am only allowed two free waters daily and to use the minibar. I explained I had used the minibar and it hadn’t been refilled. Anyway I purchased 6 waters and they delivered them and it was €30 which is a lot but it was good water and I was thirsty.

Location is very central and hence super convenient to walk to common attractions !! There is also a taxi stand near the piazza Ferrari fountain and many bus stops and a metro station nearby. Staff are helpful and efficient and speak English well. The interior decoration was what exceeded my expectations!!!! Super classical elegant fancy interior design, truly blown away. The spiral staircase that goes around and up til the top floor is very beautiful with many stain-glass window details. Room is very big as well which impressed me too ! Beds were comfy, sofa is very long and big, nice welcome gifts/ food given in the room, toilet is spacious and clean, and ample space for opening big luggages. Loved my stay here :)

Only one shared bedside table which is pretty small and already taken up by the room phone so can’t really place much there if you need to.

Narrow entrance and small and slow elevators. We have two babies, and our twin stroller was too big for the main entrance and the elevators. This is never a problem in Scandinavia, as public buildings have universal design requirements. But at hotel Bristol Palace we had to dismantle the stroller to enter/exit the hotel, and to use the elevators. This is only a problem for a very limited number of people (with large wheelchairs, or twin strollers), but it sure gave us a lot of extra work.

The hotel itself is stunning, full of charm and elegance, with beautiful interiors that reflect its rich history. My upgraded room was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, offering the perfect blend of classic style and modern comfort. Every interaction with the staff was warm and professional – they clearly care about making each guest feel valued. The location is fantastic as well, right in the heart of Genoa, making it easy to explore the city’s historic sites and waterfront. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my birthday. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Bristol Palace for making it so special. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this gem to friends and family!
