Immaculately restored lighthouse with minimalist but chic interior. Its exceptionally remote, quiet and views are some of the best on the island, and the food and service was truly a 5 star experience.

Although the entire experience was exceptional, I think they could add some additional greenery (olive trees or rosemary bushes maybe?) at the front of the hotel

The location is spectacular, peaceful and the hotel, which is a working lighthouse, is unique. The rooms are lovely. The staff is keen to please. Look out for Franco the resident seagull.

Read the instructions you will be sent before you arrive (unlike us!). You can easily get a taxi from Forio ferry port to the hotel (or the other ports on the island, but they are further away) but there are 160 steps to get down to the hotel from where the road gives out. There is a luggage lift, so be sure to telephone reception in advance to get someone to meet you and operate this for you. The buses around the island are cheap and frequent, but the walk to the bus stop is 2.2 km. We liked the challenge, but you need either to be reasonably fit or hire a car/scooter/electric bike. The Forio bar half way is a good watering hole.

Loved room one of the best anywhere Dinner virtually 2 star michelin Great bread Great cheese Didnt like Boring mini chocchip fatty biscuits in room V.good peanuts fresh in room No coffeemachine but tea maker Brilliant bed linens and incredible domestic architecture

See above plus impossible 156 very deep dangerous steps but once achieved each day most wonderful allday walks Lack of quiet ie noisy bad discomusic hours at a time in hallways and outside...astonishingly against advertised quiet and peace....then total beautiful hours of silence...as meant...exhilarating heavrnly days

Incredible staff who paid the most attention to detail during our stay. They were able to organise travel and trips outside of the time we stayed with them. They made arrival and checkout as simple and convenient as possible and made every effort to get us checked in early. The food was incredible and the rooftop bar in the evening was the perfect prelude to dinner. Could not recommend this place more. With only four rooms it feels like you’ve rented your own lighthouse with private dining and drinks and incredible views. The staff are always on hand but never overbearing. Can’t wait to come back.

Nothing!

The staff are incredible (Fabio made our stay exceptional and gave us a lot of suggestions, booked an experience for us, and made sure we were taken care of every day). The place itself is also just unbelievably gorgeous and special. The breakfast is amazing, dinner is even better, and sitting on the rooftop for a drink is very spectacular. Staying here was so special and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the seclusion after being in busier parts of Italy. Ask Fabio for the tiny taxi number (and book pickup times with them and bring cash). They are the nicest people and I’m so grateful that they took us around so much to experience Ischia, as our time there was limited (I recommend staying for 3+ days!).

If I could go back in time, I would spend a bit more and book a room with a view (we chose the more affordable option). The room was still amazing, so comfy, and so clean, but it would be special to wake up to a view of the ocean. If you can swing it, definitely upgrade, especially if you’re only spending a couple days on the property. But just to be clear, our room was still amazing and we felt like it was true luxury!

The staff were incredibly attentive and personable. The kitchen produced fantastic meals and the setting is absolutley amazing. Some incredible sunsets to be seen here!

Access is a little tricky. I'd caution against booking if you struggle with hill climbs. The nearest bus stop is 20-25min walk up and then down a very large hill. If you have heavy luggage it's tricky. A pre-booked taxi is the safest bet. I can't fault the hotel itself - it is a lighthouse afterall, it's always going to be on a cliffside!

Amazing location, views, style, staff, all tremendous, truly an unforgettable experience and well worth the money and the ‘downside’ of the inaccessibility

Be prepared for a lot of hiking up and down the hill if you want to leave the hotel - we got used to this and enjoyed it, but it’s not an easy climb. Also, because of this the hotel is quite keen you don’t arrive early, which is understandable. But we arrived by ferry on the island at 10.20am and had to work out what to do with our luggage and ourselves for a few hours. In the end the taxi driver suggested we go to a spa called Poseidon, which was very nice and worth the visit. IMO such a prestige hotel that has invested so much time and money in the guest experience could make this a little easier for guests - eg ‘many of our guests who arrive early enjoy going to the spa, where you can also store your bags’.

This was a stunning property with stunning location. The staff and manager were wonderful and so kind and helpful, both with the place itself and tips for our trip locally. The food was amazing and it was a wonderful escape. We would love to come back.

No complaints at all. Full compliments to the manager and all the staff.

Stunning location! An exceptional hotel. The room was serene, thoughtful, beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast spread was phenomenal. Fabio and Antonio were attentive, professional, amiable, and masters of their trade. March was perfectly quiet being the off season, a dream. Can’t wait to return!

Just perfect: the place , the food, the service , the room , …and that feeling to have reached the end of the world. Most probably one of the best hotel I’ve ever been . One tiny warning: be prepared for the stairs to reach the place .
