Had a great time and the owner was super friendly. The room looked exactly like the picture and I had a really pleasant stay. The property is a 15 min walk to the walled city so not that far. If you don't want to walk then there's the bus station close to the property and it's probably less than 5 minutes to get to the city. Highly recommend the property.

Had a great stay and everything was good. Everything was kept clean. Only thing was that the people in my room were traveling for one night and really tired so they weren't really that social. But that's no fault of the property. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed at dormitory which was very clean and very comfy beds. Decor of property is absolutely fabulous. Communal area and garden was total oasis in Italian summer. I could park my motorbike inside property. Location is 10+ only 5 minutes walk from historic centre of Lucca. It's family run business. I have never felt as home as I did here.

It has an excellent location, you can walk to the city center, everything is clean and organized. I had a wonderful reception and I have already made plans to return with my mother. The place is charming, just like Ana. Thank you very much. She was very kind from the moment I arrived until the time I left.

We had a great stay, the owner is really good, I felt like I was staying with family. Not far away from the wall, and you can find nice affordable food at Du’ Palle (7min walking) It's a really good place to reconnect with a slow lifestyle. Visit to the terrace to read a nice book a drink something next to it.

The bathroom was a bit slippery, wear flip flops ;)

My highlight would be the lobby/ breakfast area and the absolutely beautiful terrace!

Only things I disliked where the bathroom in the 8-bed dorm because it was constantly „flooded“ and dirty and that the wifi didn’t reach my room too well (which wasn’t a biggie for me cause I would just stay on the terrace)

The room is big. The best host, very accomodating, she helped us find a taxi in Lucca. When you're a foreigner, you would really need someone who will assist you with transportation. She did her best and even offered to drive for us. She talked to the operator to be able to squeeze us in the taxi with our big luggage hence, we were able to save money due to her efforts. Breakfast is also filling. Will definitely recommend this place.

Out of all the hotels we've stayed in this trip to Italy this was by far our favorite place. Anna could not have been more welcoming, professional or kinder. We absolutely loved our night at Il Villino on New Years eve -- it will be unforgettable. The room was meticulously clean and the beds were super comfortable. Wonderful bathroom with lots of hot water and pressure. Parking was available very close by. Absolutely loved the creative eclectic decor. There is a lovely garden to sit outside in. There was a perfectly made roaring fire in the sitting area fireplace on New Years eve to which they invited us to join them for delicious Armenian food after midnight cooked by Anna's lovely mother. Anna makes a great cup of cappuccino in the morning. She was the perfect host and her family and friends were some of the nicest people we've met in Italy (or the USA). We wish our stay was longer. We look forward to returning to Lucca and seeing her and her family again very soon. We'll be recommending Il Villino to anyone we know heading to Lucca. Thanks and all the best in 2023, Anna!!

The host is very accomodating. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Also, the host helped us in looking for a taxi to Lucca Station, if not for her, we would not make it to the station most specially that the taxi service provider only speak in Italian. She's a real blessing. Book this place if you want the best treatment possible from a host.

I stayed in the dorm area strictly by mistake, but it turned out to be very nice. I met two long term friends and fellow travelers. Management did try to assist in upgrading my room but I declined, trusting my initial decision, which turned out to be correct. Also, an easy walk to public transportation and the city center.

Suzanna provided a great breakfast and made really good coffee. The terrace and outdoor seating was great. Loved the eclectic atmosphere and the neighbourhood.

Some of the noise from guests outside carried inside.
