The staff were very helpful. The lady went out of her way to do a special breakfast for me, as I have a dairy intolerance. She even baked a dairy free cake.

Just the location really, it was fine, about 10 minutes walk outside of the city walls, which wouldn’t normally be a problem, but we had two older ladies with us, so going back into the centre in the evening wasn’t something they wanted to do. We knew the position when we booked though.

The check-in/check-out process was easy, Lucia and her husband who run the property were wonderful and Lucia organised a delicious continential breakfast with homemade sweet treats for only 8.00 euros per person and it was delicious! The whole property had a really homely feel, the bed was very comfy and the shower was great. The property holds lots of history as evident in the interior decorating and that adds to the experience of a true Italian bed and breakfast. It was only a short 10-15 minute walk from the bed and breakfast into the old town centre of Lucca. Would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves in Lucca.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay with Lucia.

We were delighted with the location which made exploring by bus & on foot very easy. The bed was extremely comfortable & we appreciated the extra pillows & other resources which were available.

The coffee machine had unfortunately broken down so breakfast was not available but Roberto did direct us to a local cafe.

Very friendly and good location, 10 mins walk to walls. Breakfast was ok nice cakes. Perhaps more fruit would be good. Lovely large room beautifully decorated.

The garden area was not as expected, it didn't look inviting or used. Maybe its the end of the season but it was ashame as we would have liked to sit outside in the afternoons.

Just outside the city walls, 5 mins walk, so good parking options ( think it was €.50/ hr from 8am to 8pm), lovely owner / person welcoming us, nice room with private bathroom. We didn't have breakfast but there are a couple of great cafes 2 mins away. Lucca is a real favourite, it's my third time there and we will be back!

It was located close to bus station ( outside the walls) Room was spacious with bed and the double sofa bed used. Breakfast was the best we had on our trip with good coffee plus choices of cereals yogurt fruit and cold meat Tea in room and beds were remade ( not expected) .

Lack of communication before arriving with specific directions and answers to questions

excellent location 4-5 minutes walk to Lucca, room and facilities as described on site, host very helpful arrived early she let me check in at 10:00 am , thank you by the way. Nice artwork on the walls . Free public parking down the road.

The room looks exactly as in the picture. Parking is free in the street in 200-300 meters from the B&B. Clean and spacious room, facilities in good working order. Hostess is helpful and very nice. And Lucca is the wonderful city, that exceeded our expectation - large medieval town, palace, cathedral, towers to climb to see the beauty of Lucca from above.

There is a long walk to the old part of the town, which is mostly car free. On the second day, we realized, that it is preferable to drive to one of many parking lots, some of them much closer to the conglomerate of attractions.

Beautiful boutique b&b where we received a warm welcome from Roberto and Lucia, including an amazing breakfast with cakes made by Lucia. Easy and short 10 min walk to the city, with safe street parking easily accessible outside the hotel. We will definitely come back. The room and bathroom were huge.

It was a very friendly comfortable family home. We had a single room and a double room very beautifully presented with welcome air conditioning. Each had a shower room with new fittings. The hosts Lucia and Roberto were so helpful and kind. Lucia was very patient helping me to practise my Italian. They gave us a map and showed us where everything was. La Mimosa was perfectly situated with only a short walk to the walled city. Breakfast was exceptional, everything you could want including delicious homemade cakes and jam, which we were able to enjoy sitting in the pretty little garden. The kettle, teabags and homemade biscuits in the room were much appreciated. Roberto very kindly got up early to drive us to the station when no taxi was available. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
