Great hotel right in the city centre of Montepulciano. Only a few steps for the main square . The room was cosy and clean. The only thing we were missing was air-conditioning, because it was so hot. Parking is available not far away from the hotel,but be prepared that streets are very narrow:) But definitely amazing place to stay in Montepulciano. Also, if you are wine lovers, we definitely recommend visiting wine tasting in the De'Ricci cantine. For 25 euros a person you get an amazing tour in old wine cellars + 6 samples of wines. Winery is like 2 minutes fm accommodation.

Albergo Duomo is located on the highest level of this ancient Tuscan hilltop town, steps from the main square and close to great restaurants and wine cellars. It occupies a period building, and while it is fully-equipped, it is not trying to match today's guest room standards. The bathroom is small, and the furnishings are basic. There is an elevator, but steps were required to reach our room, and in general experiencing Montepulciano would be challenging for those with mobility issues. There are steep inclines to negotiate, including the walk between the hotel and the hotel's reserved parking spaces. Otherwise, Montepulciano and the Albergo Duomo are wonderful, charming, and breathtaking. It's an immersive experience, and in our case made all the better by the gracious and efficient staff at the hotel. Hopefully, we will be back for a longer stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. If you are looking for a modern, plush room, this is not the hotel. Rather, this hotel is filled with old world Midevil charm that offered many creative photograph opportunities. The location was perfect, in the heart of the old fortress. The staff was courteous and helpful. Montepuluciano is a very enchanting place, and this hotel upheld its own.

Although we slept well, the hotel could invest in better quality linens and bedding. Midevil charm is fine, but cheap sheets is another thing.

Great location with parking nearby for free. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even calling a few restaurants to make reservations for us (mandatory in the off season). The room was nice with shelves and places to hang your clothes.

TL;DR: Get breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast situation was kind of ridiculous. Breakfast was €8 no matter what you got and you had to enter your order online the night before, but the system is glitchy. You have to put in how many slices of ham or how many slices of cheese you want. After putting in my order for food items, I ended up with only an €8 cappuccino and no food. It's really awkward then to have to ask for some food and they ask you how many slices of everything you want. The bathrooms are pretty confined as well, with a big open window right there in front of the toilet/shower.

It was situated in the old town and really close to restaurants . Very clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast was delicious too. I would recommend this hotel.

Only two minor issues. The shower cubicle in our room was really small and no air conditioning in the bedroom so sleeping was difficult in the heat.

The hotel was in a perfect location, right in the center of Montepulciano. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very quaint and had a nice view of the town. There was free parking available, with a short, but steep walk back up to the main center. I would stay here again.

Expansive hotel within the city walls at the very top of Montepulciano. Clean room, no frills but everything needed. Breakfast option was welcome as it would likely be a significant walk to find an alternative in the morning. Close to the village square.

Helpful receiptionist and beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for two single travelers.

It is a steep climb from the bus stop. A distance of only 460m. Not a problem for the young but beware of this if you don’t like steep inclines. The whole town is hilly.

Staff was very friendly and supportive. Offering to help carry bags from car 100 meters away, offering to carry upstairs. Staff gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, and offered support wherever they could. The town of Montepulciano is very beautiful with goreous views all around, and this hotel has one of the best locations and staff in the town. Hotel provided reserved parking less than 50 meters away (and on the same level, not down a big hill), which made the stay more pleasant.

Great Location,

I traveled with a friend, my friend booked the economy room. When we arrived, it wasn't just small with a poor view, but the equipment in the room didn't work, everything was just forlorn and sad in this little room. She had to relocate to a larger room. To be far this small economy room was significantly less expensive, but was not worth the decrease in price. Everything else about our stay was wonderful. The staff was responsive to our concerns.
