Grandiose! It was vast and very comfortable! The location is amazing and exceptional! We were welcomed at the parking area which was easy to access with great instructions. The person in charge is very reactive, kind and went beyond to make sure we had a great experience. It was our daughter’s birthday and she brought a little pastry with a candle at breakfast time. Kind touch! Breakfast was taking in the big room, we had a table for 5. Breakfast and as generously served, with fresh fruit salad yogurt on top of pastries, bread, sweets, we could not finish! The bedrooms were stunning a. We had a room for three, our daughter slept upstairs and had her own independent area with TV and air conditioning. The spiral steal staircase was charming ( it challenged my tall husband tough). The bathroom was huge as well as the bathtub. Our daughter also enjoy the changing light. It had all the little supplies you’ll need and little touch like mini bath bomb. Our beds were extremely comfortable, the room was very quiet , well decorated and the tea and coffee one of the best we came across in all our travelling experiences. It also has an ice cube machine and all included drinks in a fridge. Our other two daughters were as comfortable as us in an other section of the building which was easy to access. Their double room had a very spacious bathroom with a shower, decorated with taste and very quiet. We highly recommend Palazzo Carletti!

We’re frequent travelers and absolutely loved this property, particularly the room and FREE amenities, including the small minibar, in-room ice maker, and common area alcohol selection. The staff was so helpful and even went with us to the car park! The room was gorgeous, with a high, frescoed ceiling, large satellite TV, and double rain shower. It’s located right in the center of beautiful Montepulciano…we would absolutely stay here again.

The only issue was the internet reception, which was poor. Also be aware that there are two flights of stairs and no elevator, for those with mobility issues or who need help with heavy luggage.

The Palazzo was absolutely stunning. Every inch of the property is truly beautiful. The frescoes, the furniture, The view, the beds, the linens ... The service was also exceptional. Federica took fabulous care of our family! It was our favorite stay on this trip to Italy. Our teenagers were in awe of their surroundings (points for mom!) Every detail was perfection. Oh, and this was THE most comfortable bed I've ever slept in (which is saying something considering how extensively we travel).

The rooms got a bit cold at night, but Federica helped us fix the setting. Our only regret was not staying longer!

If I could rate Palazzo Carletti more highly than ‘10’ I would. This is definitely one of my favourite hotels in the world and I have stayed in several hundred different ones. Federica truly is the perfect host. Her Palazzo is beautiful. Full of history, large but extremely comfortable. Elegantly decorated with frescos on walls and ceilings. The hand made breakfasts, different each day, are the perfect start to a day exploring Tuscany. A free mini bar and lounge bar were included in the price we paid. Federica is extremely helpful in planning your travels and nothing was too much trouble for her. We will definitely be returning and can unreservedly recommend Palazzo Carletti.

I can’t think of anything I would have asked to change. This is a perfect place to stay in a lovely part of a stunning Tuscan hill town.

We stayed in the luxury suite (2 rooms) for 10 days. Wow! Our view (and balcony) were simply fantastic. We could look out of our bedroom sliding doors and see all of Tuscany and it was marvelous. This Palazzo is very centrally located on the main street of Montepulciano, so you can walk everywhere. There are numerous fantastic restaurants nearby and the staff will reserve them for us (and make recommendations). The staff (Frederika and Eleana) are so very nice, helpful and wonderful....I can't say enough. They also speak English well, so if that is your language you are in great hands. The breakfast was lovely each morning. Pastries, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juices, fresh coffee....a wonderful start for the day. The hotel is only 5 rooms. It's on the second floor and there is no lift. It is extremely safe and secure, so if you are traveling alone, you will feel well-cared for. The Palazzo is gorgeous, with frescos on the walls (and in our two room suite, which was huge, there is a frescoed vaulted ceiling), beautiful floors, and nice furnishings. There is a bar set up in the main public area that is complimentary, as is everything in your mini-bar in your room. The rooms have a Nespresso coffee maker and an electric kettle. Our suite had a huge two person Jacuzzi in the bathroom, which also had a separate shower, bidet and double sinks. We would absolutely stay here again. You will love it.

Everything! Veronica & her team are the epitome of professionalism. From the moment we were greeted by Veronica to the time we had to say goodbye we couldn’t fault a thing. The property is amazingly beautiful in the best location ever. The cleanliness, the breakfast, the atmosphere & the recommendations for restaurants was exceptional. Location is totally amazing. We didn't expect the view of the tower to live up to the photos posted on the booking site, but the view actually exceeded expectations. There is no other lodging option that gives such a close up view of the tower directly out the window. 100% worth it as a way to take our last night in Italy before returning home.

Air conditioner could have been stronger. Having to crawl under desk to unplug coffee maker so we could plug in the teapot was inconvenient; would have been better if both could be plugged in at same time.

What a charming little hotel! We stayed in the double Carletti and was wowed from the second we walked in. The building is lovely, and the staff is just marvelous. Our room was huge, with a full Turkish bath plus a normal bathtub and modern bathroom. The high ceiling and frescos made us feel like royalty. Breakfast was simple and continental style, and taken in the main room which is divine. And the staff! Thank you so much Elena for helping us get a reservation on short notice and giving us an overview of Montepulciano. She was our on demand TripAdvisor plus Yelp plus OpenTable, except faster and more user-friendly. Parking is off site and a little unnerving to get to, but that’s obviously a function of the location being literally on top of a mountain and hardly the fault of the hotel. Elena helped us park and lug luggage up to the hotel, which I greatly appreciated at 6 months pregnant. :)

There was some street noise from loud people given the old windows, but everything quieted down by around 11pm and we ultimately had no issues sleeping after that.

This trip exceeded all our expectations. Our room with its spectacular view was just perfect. Location could not be better and the welcome from Federica was lovely. Federica was always so willing to offer advice and help throughout our trip and this was much appreciated, nothing was too much trouble. It is a peaceful and welcoming environment. Breakfast was beautifully laid out every morning on our table. We would highly recommend Palazzo Carletti

Absolutely stunning property in the perfect location. We had one of the modern rooms and all the amenities and furnishings are first class, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills. Frederica is also a first class host - not only is she attentive, she also booked us a beautiful table at a lovely restaurant.
