The location was AMAZING - right in the centre of Montepulciano. We had a lot of luggage and were so delighted to see this historic house had an excellent lift / elevator. Our room had a small fridge, a kettle, a selection of teabags and coffee. The view from the window over the neighbouring countryside was breathtaking. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel as well.

We could not drive right up to the very door of the hotel and had to wheel our luggage 20m from the main Piazza (where we could park temporarily for 10 minutes). Parking was off-site, but this cannot be avoided to be in the absolute middle of the historic town centre.

Room was lovely with amazing views! The terrace and patio areas to sit where magical and we wish we had time to really enjoy that more. The location and the rooms were very nice, I would highly suggest anyone to stay there while in Montepulciano.

Very clear written directions and map to drop off luggage would have been helpful before our arrival. However the lady we called was very kind and patient trying to assist us. The breakfast could have been a more diverse with options. My daughter has multiple allergies and the lady did make her special eggs which was a blessing to us and we thank her.

We loved the Mueble il Riccio. Our room was a Junior Suite with a balcony. The room was great and the balcony was wonderful. A bit strange that the "sitting area" was located in a loft area that could only be accessed with a ladder that the staff needed to move for us if we wanted to use the extra room. The location of the hotel is excellent and very private and safe. The instructions given to us on how to drop off our luggage at the hotel were great.

The mattress in the room was very uncomfortable -- both my husband and I ended up with back aches. I also did not think the charge for breakfast per person was reasonable. Although the breakfast was good, but it wasn't until our last day that we realized they would cook eggs to order and there was just not a lot of choice. The baked goods were excellent but needed additional protein choices. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of breakfast choices in Montepulciano, so you are basically at the hotel's mercy.

It is an exquisite hotel. The rooms are just beyond beautiful and appointed perfectly. The lobby is all original from the 1500’s. So if you enjoy history, it’s beyond wonderful. The view from our room was unbelievable- all of the countryside of Montepulciano. The owners, 7th generation of this original residence, are wonderfully kind and caring hosts. Breakfast each morning in the lobby (which is a massive old world room) is homemade each day. It is steps away from the main Piazza is town. As a lover of history, it is one of the most unforgettable places I will have ever stayed.

This is an amazing property. Located just a few feet from the main town square. The Talosa wine tasting room is located literally across the small street in from of the hotel. Exceptionally clean. Great rooms. Felt like staying in a kind of nobleman's house. And, in fact, the hotel was built into a very old family home. We had a room (#32) with a large balcony overlooking the town and valley.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Excellent stay in Montepulciano. Very charming hotel with spacious and clean rooms, and comfortable bed. Hotel staff very helpful, they booked a taxi for us and ensured everything was sorted with parking. I was concerned about driving through the narrow streets, we had a large rental car but it was no issue at all. 100% recommend staying here.

Meublé il Riccio is an exception family run hotel in the very center of Montepulciano. Every aspect of our stay was exquisite! Our room was beautiful, well-appointed, with an incredible view of the Tuscan countryside. The owners of Meublé Il Riccio, Gio & Ivana, are incredibly warm and friendly. Our highest, most heartfelt recommendation.

The setting is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room with the balcony was an exceptional treat. The bathroom was large and updated, I even enjoyed a bath after a long day of travel. The location is unbelievable.

The parking felt confusing and a little challenging, but it was all sorted in the end.

Perfect location near many restaurants. The views from our window were spectacular! Our room was huge/spacious. It is a bit of a walk to parking so not for those with mobility issues (well whole town requires lots of walking up and down). Would definitely return.

Well, where to start, it was all so good? The reception from Mama Ivana and Papa Gio was magnificent. (Over 60 years of marriage) Also, Lavigno (spelling) was very helpful prior to my arrival and upon arrival. Excellent recommendations for culinary adventures were provided. De Ricci winery - a wonderful visit to the wine cellar in town followed by lunch at the vineyard. Osteria Aquacheta for wonderful bifstecca, what a highlight. Reservations for both are required. Luciano, the barber, provided wonderful shaves with his 75 years of experience. La Botegga del Nobile for wonderful wine tasting and dining experience provided by Lorenzo. The accommodation is well appointed and very well kept. This is the only place that I will stay in Montepulciano!
