My sister and I stayed at this hotel for one night each end of our holiday, the time in between was spent on the island of Ischia but due to our flight times we needed to stay in Naples either end. The hotel is centrally located, only a few minutes walk from Naples central railway station and is a pleasant budget hotel. Our main recommendation is the staff who were very helpful and pleasant. Due to flight times we checked in late evening and left very early the following week for our departure flight and there was someone on the reception at all times who could speak English. The hotel also efficiently arranged our taxi to the airport. The rooms are clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked effectively and there is a lift so no dragging suitcases up and down stairs. We stayed for only a few hours overnight on each occasion and did not eat or drink there, so I cannot comment on any longer stay.

The very noisy rubbish collection in the streets outside during the night, which went on for perhaps 15 minutes close to the hotel, with a large metal mechanical grabber picking up litter which was noisy. It moved backwards and forwards to pick up rubbish from the ground and had a reversing warning beeping. There's nothing the hotel can do about this but if you are a light sleeper it may wake you. I heard it because I was already awake, had I been asleep I may have slept through it as once asleep I'm not generally woken by noise outside, my sister in a different room slept through it, so I'd say this isn't a big concern if you sleep soundly.

At the price we were offered, the hotel was great value for money. Some reviewers found that the location was rough, but this probably has to do with the fact their expectations needed to be calibrated against the Neapolitan realities (the area is clearly rougher as one approaches the train station, but this hotel isn't quite there yet). The room was also spacious, with a pleasant balcony. I particularly appreciated how the staff allowed us to check in already in the morning upon our arrival from the ferry terminal. Not all hotels do that,

We had a minor plumbing problem (sink leakage), but the hotel tried to fix it and immediately offered us a new room (which we didn't need - the bucket they supplied was fine for the purpose). Overall, I think this hotel is under-rated, and clearly good value for money.

I was concerned about the location of the hotel as I approached, it's in a little lane that looks a bit grotty but it is a very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff are wonderful and take a real interest in making sure the stay is comfortable and you have all the information you need. Breakfast is basic but good and the guy looking after breakfast is super friendly and has a good memory. Very close to the main train station (bit tricky working out how to find it as there are a number of streets that feed off the junction.

A bit noisy early in the evening but is quiet through the night.

Very clean, super comfy beds, a/c…little balcony. Decent price. Very nice staff.

Shower is incredibly small. You can’t bend over to wash your feet without opening the shower surround. The area immediately to the right of the hotel appears to be a pop up clothing market. Lots of trash, chaos…the morning we left there was utter disaster in the streets from the market the day before. Heaps of clothing, beer bottles, torn up boxes….like a dumpster had turned over…and the smell!!! You will likely be fine, (as we were) but had a bit of an uneasy feeling two women at night walking to return to the hotel.

For a 3* city centre hotel this is a really great place to stay. It was basic but was clean, comfortable and modern. We could leave our bags when we arrived early and on the morning we checked out. Reception is 24 hours and the staff on reception were efficient, polite and helpful. The room was quiet and had an automated, external blind which helped with any noise and kept the room dark. The room was an adequate size for a couple of nights. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. A continental buffet breakfast with freshly made coffee was included and was more than enough. This hotel was extremely good value for money and within walking distance of the main station and the historic centre. We would definitely stay here again.

The shower cubicle was small.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Hotel was very clean, had air conditioning, elevator, and rooms were attended to daily. Plenty of towels etc. The small fridge and safe, in room was much appreciated. The roof terrace was also a bonus to sit on safely at night.

Would have liked an ice machine at the Hotel that we could access especially at night, for drinks to sit on the terrace. Tried to purchase ice, but none of wee supermarkets had any. And a small kettle in room would be a plus also, so we could make tea/coffee at any time.

Nice hotel not far from the train station. The location is great because from one side the hotel is near the entrance to the historical part of the city and from other side its 5-10 min walk to train station (as main one as well as Circumvesuviana which brings you to Amalfi coast, Pompei, etc). The room was clean and comfortable with enough space, fridge in the room, comfortable beds, air conditioning. A lot of people complaining about surroundings, but is natural social environment of Naple, and me with a child have not found it very horrible or scary. The big advantage of the hotel is opportunity to check-out even after midnight (if you have late flight for example). The breakfast is modest, but still enough to start your day well.

Staff is amazingly welcoming and friendly. I thought the air-con was not working, but you have to insert the key on the socket near the bed...

Neighborhood was a bit noisy but perfectly fine to sleep.

Central location / clean /helpful staff / simple good breakfast with latte or cap.

Surrounding the hotel area you see rough characters/ but it was safe /central area I had twice incident some one open my bag while walking, another time a guy try to steal slid mobile phone out of my left shots pocket( precocious like any cities)

Gianni and his staff were excellent and I greatly appreciated their help in having a secure, clean and comfortable stay in Naples. I stayed at the Colombo hotel for 15 nights and I couldn’t have been happier. Yes the room is small and yes the area around the hotel is dirty, particularly after a weekday but the area has real character and quite frankly I loved it. Molte grazie Gianni a te e al tuo staff. The area around the hotel but it is close to the Metro underground, the main central station and a bus travels every 20 minutes between the airport and the station and costs just 5 euro!
