A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Naples My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming little hotel in Naples. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with everything you need just a short walk away. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius… breathtaking. The hotel has only eight rooms, which gives it a cozy, boutique feel, like a little jewelry box. The entire staff was attentive, kind, and highly professional. We especially enjoyed chatting with Francesca, who took the time to share more about the area with us. Her warmth and attention made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and complete — we never felt like anything was missing. As for food outside the hotel, there are so many great places nearby, especially in the Borgo Marinario area, where we had fantastic meals beyond just the (already amazing) pizza. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the elevator — it’s quite small and a bit slow. But honestly, everything else was so exceptional that it hardly mattered. We would absolutely stay here again — and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Naples!

Great location right on the water with a fantastic view of Vesuvius and really great for getting into historic centre and other parts of the city. Everywhere is walkable and lovely restaurant a two minute walk on the waterfront. Staff were lovely and I’ve read people complaining about the breakfast but there was a really good choice of just about everything you could want and lovely coffee and service so I thought it very good.

It’s on a really noisy road which to be fair is why it’s such a great location on the waterfront and it’s not the hotel’s fault that it’s noisy until quite late. They are constructing a promenade which I think will be great when it’s finished. We were also there the weekend they won the football title so I suspect it was rowdier than usual. The decor is a little tired, but it had air conditioning, good sized rooms that were made up beautifully every day.

Location was good, could walk to the port and nice area to walk to for dinner on an evening, felt safe. Could tell room had recently been refurbished and was modern and clean.

There wasn’t a fridge in the room. It was a small minibar but it wasn’t deep enough to store a small carton of milk. It also wasn’t cold enough. Breakfast was ok if you just want a coffee and a pastry.

It was our first time in Italy. There were just 2 of us and we were clueless on transportation, language barriers, and all the other things that go with traveling out of our home country. Upon arrival, we couldn't figure out entrance to the hotel (gorgeous old wooden doors) but a staff at a close Cafe helped us. Our room was clean, accommodating, and met all our needs. The staff...AMAZING! Francesca, Julia, Simone, and many others were sooooooo friendly and helpful! From calling us SAFE taxi companies (some will not use meter to make more money...BEWARE!!!) To help us locate a dr office for an emergency visit...they were like a new family to us! They truly made our stay indescribable! Yes, they are in the end stages of a remodel and I can't wait to come see the finished product! They're changing the look from vintage Italian to new wVe/deco type atmosphere! The HUGE glass entrance door alone is stunning! I am a fan of the vintage look but can certainly appreciate a business changing with the times! Well done, Relais sul Mare! * Superb location - the view and the distance to great dining was even better than we expected. We were two ladies travelling together and felt very safe staying here as well as walking around the area at all times of the day/night. It was also a very reasonable distance to the Port where we caught a ferry to Capri for a day trip. * The entire hotel, including our room and bathroom, were extremely tastefully decorated * Everything looked and felt very clean, we felt comfortable and right at home

* The shower could have a small ledge to keep shower products on * The free breakfast was decent. I would have preferred to order something off the breakfast menu but it felt like the prices might have been too high (compared to just going to a cafe) - maybe there could be an offer to have a nicer breakfast included in the stay price for a small additional cost

I liked that it’s a small boutique hotel so it felt more personal and private. The rooms are nicely designed and the bed was super comfy!

The entrance door was closed when we arrived (midday) and we tried to call / message the hotel but we had to wait 15 minutes just outside without any information. We got a bit scared it was a scam.

When we arrived, we had no way of getting into the building. Someone happened to walk out to open the door. Then when we got into the building, there wasn't a soul around and we didn't know where to go. It was kind of funny. We figured it out. The regular lobby was under construction and this was the back way in. We rolled with it. It's not that I didn't like it, it was just tricky closing the blinds over the hot tub, but it was part of the charm.

Only thing we personally didn't like was the breakfast as it was a small selection (but it is a small hotel ) , however the lady at breakfast was lovely 😊

Exceptional staff that goes above and beyond. Special thanks to franchisca who was not only helpful and kind but also took the time to direct us to wherever we wanted to go. Julia in the restaurant was amazing and also the male receptionist who was very helpful as well. The room was stunning with close attention to the very small detail. Will definitely visit again!

This hotel is beautifully renovated, clean and in the perfect location right along the water! The views from the balcony were amazing. It was great to sit out on the balcony and watch all the action. The hot tub was amazing, everything worked and it was nice and hot. Very clean room, bed was very comfortable and staff were very friendly and accommodating!

If you are not used to a big city, the noise from the traffic outside is kind of loud at night. It was fun to hear the city sounds though.
