The property was a well-located beautifully converted Palazzo. The decorations were lovely and elegant. There were numerous Italian pastries, available 24/7. There were many nice details which added to the comfort of the stay. The staff was very sweet and quite helpful, polite, and friendly. There were never any issues at all. This was such a nice place to stay!! We would definitely stay here again.

A splendid blend of the old with the new. Extremely tasteful decor which leveraged the charm of the 400 year old “Palace of the Poet” while providing a totally up to date accommodation. David’s, Noemi, Salvatore and the rest of the staff are dressed smartly and are ready to serve. The breakfast was exquisite, including a wide variety of local pastries, as well as eggs and meat to satisfy our American tastes.

Palazzo del Poeta is a oasis in the busy city of Palermo. The owner has used her love of the city and artistic ability to create a most beautiful retreat for the traveller following 5 years of renovation/restoration.It is walking distance to everything situated right off of Via Roma but on an extremely quiet small street minutes to transit and attractions. Our room was exquisite with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with cooked eggs available on request . Pastries and beverages are also available all day in a separate convenient location to our room. Staff were very helpful and professional. Communication was excellent before and during our stay. The owner provided restaurant suggestions of which we tried two which were delicious. We loved Palermo and staying at Palazzo del Poeta was exceptional.

Excellent location on the narrow street across from archeological museum. It was very kind of the hotel concierge lady to park the car in the garage for us and bring it back to the front of the hotel the next day.

Difficult to find the hotel as there were no signs of the hotel and I missed it going back and forth the street. I should have known that it was at the doorbell of entrance that has the hotel name.

Loved the kitchenette and couch are in our room. Comfy bed. Made it easy to relax in the room. Location and staff were amazing! Breakfasts were also great!

Well- there is a piano school closeby - and neighborhood kids were screaming late into the night- but that is not in the control of the hotel.

We loved our stay at Palazzo del Poeta. The building is in a fantastic location, very walkable to all the sites we wanted to see. The place is like a museum, so beautiful! Our room was perfect for our honeymoon. The beds were comfy and the kettle in the room was nice to have tea before bed. There was unlimited coffee and pastries at all hours which was delicious! Breakfast was included and it was great. The staff is very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We overall loved our stay here and would definitely recommend, especially for couples.

Our air conditioner stopped working one night, however the hotel team made sure to get it fixed right away and it was working properly by the next day.

Convenient location. Snacks and a variety of drinks including juices, alcoholic beverages and coffee/tea were available throughout the day. Staff was very helpful. Only downside was that the bathtub in our room was not working which was unfortunate as we were looking forward to it.

This is one of the most extraordinary travel values I’ve ever encountered. On a Palermo alley an unassuming door opens into an exquisite lobby - which is your introduction to a beautiful, interesting and tastefully crafted space. The bedroom was comfortable, charmingly decorated and lovely. Outside the room was an area with tables, couches, Sicilian pastry treats, refrigerated drinks, and a great breakfast in a charming breakfast room. all part of the cost of the room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and room, convenient to historic areas, wonderful breakfast, friendly helpful staff.

Location in a ZTL and google maps made finding it difficult. Post hotel is next door and co- owned which helps with locating the property.

Other people have said this, but it really is a beautiful building and has a lovely ambience inside. The young people who staff the residence are delightful and couldn`t be more charming and helpful. Guests are given a Whatsapp contact, so it`s possible to message at any time if anything is needed. Breakfast was good and there was coffee, tea, cakes and pastries left available throughout the day which was a very hospitable gesture.

The entire front of the building was covered in scaffolding which, it seems, has been ongoing for some time. l chose a room with a balcony because l had to work each morning, but found my balcony to be covered and unavailable. l think this should be mentioned at booking. However, there is a pleasant roof terrace and lovely indoor rooms for relaxing if privacy isn`t required. Also to clarify for others, there isn`t either a fridge or minibar in the room as advertised, if this is important to you. However, the breakfast area is immediately outside the bedroom door and drinks are available there. Another thing to be aware of is that the bathroom area isn`t fully enclosed - so no problem for a solo traveller, but may not be ideal if privacy is required.
