What an amazing place to stay! It was so comfortable, in a great location, really quirky and unusual with the wonderful tile museum to look round. The tile museum in itself is well worth a visit, even if you are not staying there. Our host Claudio was really friendly and helpful, as were the girls serving our lovely breakfasts. We chose to sit out on the terrace for our breakfasts and you could also eat inside if you had preferred. Our room was large, with a little balcony, and decorated with beautiful tiles, as was the en-suite. Easy walking distance to everywhere, the old town, train station, great restaurants. So much to see. Perfect for us. I would totally recommend here for a lovely unique place to stay. Thank you 🙏

Everything about this property was amazing. You are surrounded by beautiful tiles, artistic ceilings with Murano chandeliers in every room and more tiles in the adjacent museum which is a family home. It is walking distance to the old town and bus/train station. Artisan shops, and restaurants are in the next square with multiple hat shops on the block. You really feel that you are at home. The staff is helpful and breakfast plentiful and handmade. We will absolutely stay here on our next trip to Palermo. It is so unique and cosy!

There is two flights of steps but we were able to manage with our luggage.

This quirky, historic building is elegantly decorated with a fascinating variety of antique tiles and furniture and has beautifully frescoed, arched ceilings. It is just a stone's throw from bohemian bars and restaurants and sits at the heart of the city's historic quarters. Staff were lovely. Breakfast is hearty and high quality food. Including a free tour of the tile museum is a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay.

This hotel, like Palermo itself, won't be for everyone. It is charming, not pristine, and you have to wait a while for hot water to arrive in the shower. The vibrant nightlife means there's some late night noise. Breakfast also includes some unusual items, such as a large arancino and a mozzarella sandwich, which are delicious but quite heavy stuff first thing in the morning. If that minor stuff doesn't bother you, though, this place is a gem.

Incredibly beautiful!!!!! Very special to stay here. Amazing location - walkable for all of Palermo and the train station, nice terrace, museum visit is a must! Very helpful and attentive staff. Very close to Foro Italico for anyone who likes to run.

Slight smell of oil paint from the doors not from the tiles. This should fade with time… all areas of central Palermo seem noisy at night unfortunately there’s no escaping. This location is probably the best for less noise.

We loved this unique, charming guesthouse, filled with artisan tiles and located in an historic building. We were greeted by Giorgia who kindly showed us around and provided helpful tips & recommendations. Lovely Alessandro made us a pleasant & generous breakfast each morning, sometimes on the terrace, weather permitting. He also provided delightful conversation. La Kalsa neighbourhood is full of rustic, dishevelled elegance and so much history. Heaps of cool bars, cafes & restaurants, and beautiful piazzas. Only a ten minute walk to Palermo Centrale stazione. It exceeded expectations.

I loved the location, our room, and the breakfast, which was above and beyond. It was a lot and customized to you so not a buffet. I also loved the communication from staff before check-in and on the day, etc. I was weary at first about whether I should stay in a place with so many tiles. Is it too busy? But not at all. The fact that you can also visit the museum was very cool.

The only downside is that the bathroom had a water heater that kept making noise; if we stayed there longer, I would have asked for it to be checked out. My husband slept just fine, I am a light sleeper.

Exceptional place! It was sooo beatutiful! A bit old, but squeeky clean and cozy. The host's sister Giorgia was amazing, not only showing everything, but also recommending some local restaurants. She also was super knowledgeable about the tile museum, to which we had a free access and we enjoyed her tour. There was a problem with the breakfast room door so we had to ask for at least something to eat in our room because we needed to leave early, but such things might happen, the lady responsible for that was nice and let us take a few pastries. The cats in the museum ^.^

All was great!

Claudio's tour, in English, and at no charge for guests, of the tile museum was incredible, and we don't even know anything about tiles. Now we see tiles differently. The breakfast was great and on warmer days would be even nicer out on the terrace. The location allowed us to walk to all the Palermo attractions of interest, and was about a twenty minute walk from the bus station. It is nice to know that our stay contributed to the museum. Oh, and Giorgia, Claudio's sister, recommended some great restaurants.

This was a fascinating property in an old palazzo currently undergoing renovations. The B and B itself was contiguous with a really interesting and beautiful tile museum that also decorated the B and B. This B and B was an oasis of calm in Palermo, with the reservation indicated below. Claudio, the host was extremely affable and helpful and the breakfast on the terrace was really excellent and generous.

The only down side to our experience here occurred on the first night with when a neighbour across the way from the B and B decided to have his tv on extremely loudly until after 11pm. When we mentioned this to Claudio he explained this was an occasional problem that was outside of his control but he did offer us a change of rooms which subsequently proved to be unnecessary.

Beautiful place inside a small (wonderful) museum, very close to Palermo Centrale train station. Comfortable room in an old palace, with very good and friendly service. The breakfast too was good (with one exception... see below).

The only exception is that apparently it was not easy to get tea at breakfast... as they were not used to serve tea. But it was a very minor quibble, the rest of the breakfast was good and various.
