My daughter and her friend and I had only planned to spend 1 day at the hotel before returning home, however we discovered a previously planned stay in Castiglioncella was not acceptable so ended up spending 5 nights. The staff, especially Isabella and Sully, both went beyond their rolls to make our stay great. The hotel was clean and easily accessible,by walking, to the airport, train station , shopping, and the attractions in Pisa. The food in the Bistoria was well prepared and presented. This was a first trip to Europe for myself, my daughter and her best friend and enjoyed the stay at Blue Shades and the Pisa area immensely.

My room was cleaned and the bed made daily ,however towels were only replaced once, but was not a problem. I would have asked if needed.

We had an early flight out of Pisa and wanted a hotel close to the airport, and Blue Shades Hotel was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating - offering us an early check-in without us even asking, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom had all the nice touches, and we especially appreciated the small kitchenette, perfect for those who like to cook during their stay. There's also a supermarket right across the street and a variety of restaurants nearby. The best part? It’s literally just a 5 minute walk to Pisa International Airport - super convenient! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone needing a comfortable and easy stay near the airport.

Excellent location and proximity to the airport. The city and train station were also within walking distance. (Approx 20-25 minute walk) The rooms were spacious and well presented, they certainly met our needs for a one night stay before departing on an early flight. The hotel staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful, they were more than happy to check us in early.

Nothing - for the price and location our needs were met. The hotel is not luxury, but that's not what we expected.

This was our fourth stay at the Blue Shades which we chose because of its location 300 metres from Pisa Airport. The facilities in our room were good and it was comfortable and of a good size. Although breakfast is advertised as being available from 07.30 we were provided with a substantial and tasty breakfast at 07.00 in view of the timing of our early flight departure at the airport.

The absence of a manned reception desk is a bit strange although we were able to get help as and when needed. There are no shared facilities at the hotel other than a modest sized breakfast room. At Euro 244 our hotel room was very expensive considering its out of town location and amenities. We would consider staying elsewhere next time we are in Pisa as we don't consider this price to be justified by the hotel offering.

We had to change plans halfway through our trip and everyone at the Blue Shades Hotel was extremely friendly and accommodating. It was quiet, clean, and everyone on staff, especially Salle(sp?) the concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and stress free. It is located very close to the airport and train station. I would highly recommend staying at Blue Shades if you are ever visiting Pisa!

The hotel is close to the airport and is very clean with comfortable beds and a lovely shower room. The staff are very helpful and very kind especially on our return of going to see the tower and my purse was stolen while standing on a bus from Pisa train station to the tower by someone who had pretended to help us with the ticket machine, turned his head away when I entered pin but a woman who then joined him had seen my pin and they got off the bus at next stop. By the time I got through to my bank a large sum had been withdrawn from my account. Also we had been on three buses during the week and on our first, bus inspectors came on and as we did not know our tickets have to be put through a machine on a bus we were fined 120 euros they said pay or police. On both buses from Pisa station to the tower and back bus inspectors we're doing the same approaching tourists who were unaware of putting their tickets through a machine on the bus and all being fined, just a word of warning as it spoils a lovely holiday if it happens to you.

I’m delighted to share our fantastic experiences at Hotel Blue Shades in Pisa. This marked our second year in a row visiting, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the warm hospitality provided by Gianluca. On both occasions, we encountered unexpected travel issues, and Gianluca went above and beyond to accommodate us at short notice, even staying up late to welcome us with open arms. His personal touch extended to preparing delightful snacks and refreshing drinks for our family, truly making us feel at home. It’s evident that Gianluca takes pride in his role and cares deeply about his guests’ comfort and happiness. Overall, our stays at Hotel Blue Shades have been nothing short of exceptional, largely due to Gianluca’s impeccable service and welcoming nature. We can’t wait to return for yet another amazing experience. I just can hope that „Isabella“ appreciated the value, Gianluca is providing to this hotel ;-)

The hotel and bedrooms were modern. The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows were available in the wardrobe. Our room had air-con (which was needed as it was very warm outside. The staff were very attentive and were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in walking distance to the airport, so very helpful for our early morning flight. We would recommend staying here if you are in Pisa.

Flew early in the morning so can’t comment on the breakfast. No real place to eat in the hotel There is a patisserie / cafeteria just outside reception.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Location wise was perfect too. Short, safe 5 minute walk to the airport (but no airport noise). Great place

I really can’t fault it. It was exactly what we needed. Just a pity we didn’t stay longer.
