Could this place have been more wonderful? Location: about a ten minute walk from the train station, and the train station entrance to Pompeii. A ten minute walk further on to the less-used Porta Marina entrance. Next door to an excellent grocery store, Wonderful restaurants (and gelato) in both directions. Facilities: the apartment is immaculate. Mr. and Mrs. Ciaravola are so kind and generous. They respond promptly to any question. They lay out a splendid breakfast every morning! If you stay here I hope you get the Pompeii room. The lovely details are restful to the eye; the curtains on the balcony door, the frescoes (copied from Pompeii) on the walls, the decorations on the walls and ceilings, the tile. So much attention to creating a beautiful space. There is a kitchen to share, with a fridge, coffee machine, with tables to work or read. We stayed six nights. The air conditioning was a blessing. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Host was very good with communication. Andrea met us on arrival & showed us into our room. He was very welcoming & incredibly informative despite the language barrier (thanks google translate!) Their card machine working (was explained to us before arrival) so he kindly gave us a ride in his car to the nearest ATM so we could withdraw cash to pay for our stay. Andrea would arrive each morning to provide breakfast in the shared kitchen area for us & guests in the other room, ask if there was anything he could do to make our stay more comfortable, then he’d leave. The accommodation is literally across the road from the Pompeii ruins, and only about a 200-300m walk to the entrance gate. There is a supermarket within 100m, and many restaurants within an easy walking distance.

My family and I stayed at Nives Bed & Breakfast in August of 2025. Our host sent us lots of detailed information before our arrival so that we had good directions on how to get to the site and park. He also stayed in good communication with us prior to our arrival. We were concerned on the way to the site, as there were ZTL signs on the streets leading in. We actually pulled off into another property to avoid the ZTL, where someone there assured us that we were ok and not to worry. We continued to the site, where we found ample private parking. and also found our host waiting for us. He also assured us that we were ok up through his property before the ZTL was in effect. Our host spoke very little English, but was an absolute master of using Google Translate, so it was very easy to communicate with him. Our host had done wonderful work to artistically enhance each of the rooms to give them their own personality. It really enhanced the experience and made it fun to stay at the location. Our host was quite friendly and welcoming, and gave us great advice about a local restaurant within walking distance that we could visit that evening. Breakfast the next morning was good, and our host was attentive and helpful. It was a great and memorable stay!

Accommodation perfect location for archaeological Pompeii ruins tour. Large supermarjet close by as well as local bars, cafes etc. Andrea and Carnella at Nives wonderful, lovely, helpful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Google translate worked perfectly when communicating with them. Room was lovely, spotless and very comfortable beds. We slept incredibly well the 3 nights we were there as it's a peaceful location off the main road. Breakfast was also adequate and plenty of it to start your day. Parking available outside Nives for those hiring a car for their stay. Local buses are ideal, and cheap, if you want to take a trip to Sorrento or the train station next to the ruins is good value and takes less time to get there. All in all we loved our stay at Nives and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Staying at Nives Bed & Breakfast was one of the most touching and memorable experiences of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by Andrea Ciaravola and his lovely wife – their kindness was so real, it truly touched our hearts. We stayed in the “Pompei” room, and it was absolutely stunning – designed with such character, care, and style that it felt like a beautiful tribute to the ancient city. Every detail, from the décor to the comfort, was perfect. The location couldn’t be better – just a short walk to the entrance of the archaeological site, yet peaceful and cozy at the same time. But what we will never forget is the way Andrea and his wife made us feel – not like guests, but like friends. Their hospitality was heartfelt, personal, and deeply touching. The way his wife waved us goodbye from the terrace, smiling and sending us off with warmth, is a moment we will carry with us always. We left Nives B&B with full hearts and a deep sense of gratitude. It’s more than just a place to stay – it’s a home, created with love.

Andrea and his wife made our stay even better! They were so charming and friendly and really made us feel like we were visiting friends. The breakfast was lovely, especially the best fresh-squeezed orange juice we've ever tasted! And the beds were amazing! I don't usually sleep well when traveling, but those beds were amazing. We loved Andrea so much that we were sad to leave. We hope to come back to the area someday and stay with them again.

I can't think of a single thing! The apartment was pristine, the sheets and towels were soft, and the hosts were wonderful and gave it that special touch.

The greatest thing about this property is the owners! You’re not gonna meet anybody nicer than Andrea! What a great host! He and his wife are so friendly! Talk about going the extra mile!!! They were absolutely wonderful people. I loved how the rooms were decorated. Our bathroom was unbelievable. I actually took pictures of the bathroom! We loved how close it was to everything. Completely convenient location.

Everything about this place was wonderful.

Nives Bed & Breakfast was very comfortable, room and bathroom spacious and breakfast a good selection of food and drink. Very close to all three entrances of the archeological site, town center and train stations. Best of all though were Carmela and Andrea. Both are super friendly and hospitable. Went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Let us check in early and stored our luggage on the day of checkout. Absolutely recommend Nives B&B. Thank you both for a wonderful stay :))

Andrea and his wife were wonderful hosts and keep clean, comfortable rooms in a location with very convenient access to Pompeii (8-10 minute walk). The area is nothing fancy but their property was clean and provided a quiet stay. The rooms are colorful and while the hosts speak very little English, it is quite easy to communicate as long as you know a few basic Italian phrases, which should be something every tourist/visitor should make an effort to do before visiting a foreign country for the sake of courtesy. If all else fails, Andrea is also very handy with Google Translate. For an additional fee, Andrea also offered to pick us up in Napoli. These are good people and you shouldn't hesitate to choose their property when visiting Pompeii. The cost was very reasonable for an overnight as well. Breakfast was basic but sustainable - bagged pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee.

Nothing to report - the stay met all expectations.

Andreas and Carmela were wonderful hosts, so helpful and really attentive to our needs. Andrea picked us up from the station, and when our taxi didn't arrive when time to leave, then drove us back. Breakfast was great with everything we could want and more, and Andrea and Carmela there each morning to check all was OK. The room is within minutes' walk of the Pompeii ruins, so a great spot to start from. Into town is a bit longer, but still an easy 15-20 minute walk, and buses and taxis are nearby.

There was nothing we didn't like, everything was good, but visitors should be aware that Andrea and Carmela's English aren't good, so keep the translator handy if you need to discuss anything. Andrea is always ready to with his if needed.
