The location is hard to beat: just a 7-minute walk from the train station, 6 minutes to the funicular, and 5 minutes to the ferry terminal for Portofino and Santa Margherita. It’s basically right on the lungomare, next to the Castello. I saw some “unhappy” comments here - seriously? I booked last minute (it was the very last room available), paying about €40 a night - the price of a hostel - yet I had my own room with a basin! The next available option in Rapallo was around €250. Yes, the bathroom is shared. Yes, it’s not luxury. But it was really clean, and the staff were super nice - they even remembered me and always said hello when I passed by. The hotel has an old charm, and I loved the elevator (which I never took but only because I prefer walking up the stairs). I had a very small room but with a super cool view, no air conditioning but a fan, and it was not hot by night. I definitely recommend it for a short stay in Rapallo if you’re not planning to spend much time at the hotel.

I am having rest here for many years and the hotel improves its facilities every year. The hotel is very close to the beach and the weather is always good for clients who do not like very hot weather. Of course, you can spend here some days to see Portofino and other popular beaches, but you can also feel comfortable to spend here several weeks.

I dream that one year there will be a refrigerator, may be one for all clients.

The location is excellent, close to the port and the ferry to Portofino and other places. The hotel is old but well maintained and clean. The elevator is old, with space only for two people without luggage or one person with luggage. The sheets and towels looked like new, the staff was friendly, and honestly, for the price we paid we weren’t expecting anything luxurious. We felt very comfortable.

We were in Portofino and just took it for one night, not even planning (it was the cheapest at the moment). You get keys from the person that works in a restaurant, which is very nice. You get an elevator, comfortable beds, and a clean shower with hot water that is shared. The good side is that you get water and a sink in your own room. Great view.

You don't get any place with a fridge for your food to store.

Staff was so friendly and lovely, rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, location was very close to trainstation which made it so easy to access santa margherita and portofino from there.

There was no wifi during my stay and no air conditioner in a room that gets all the sun from window and from the ceiling, it was imposible to sit in the room at certain times of the day because of the heat

Great location in the center of Rapallo, close to public beach, train station, ferry terminal, restaurants, supermarket... Rooms are renovated and have bathrooms are a bit older, but functional (at least 2 showers and 4 toilets in the property). Bed was comfortable. Host and cleaning lady are very friendly. Nice view of the hills. There was construction on the road, during my stay they finished construction of the pavement. It seemed it wont take too long to finish the road.

It is in the perfect location, 5 min walk from the cost, from grocery store from the center also the train station. The host was very kind. The room was big enough for me with an excelent view.

The water pipe gave very big noise, also it was loud in the night as people slammed the door. A fridge would be very useful even a shared one.

The location and the amenities were perfect for the price! Alessandro was one of the best hosts I've ever met during my stays. The hotel also has an restaurant down below, the Santa Margherita Ligure is perfect to have a couple of drinks; it is 5-6 minutes away from the hotel (by car), also it is possible to walk at night. The ferry dock is just 200 meters away so you can take the ferry and explore the Portofino and San Fruttuoso Bay... We have extended our stay, we loved Rapallo and the hotel. Location, close to everything. Owner is super nice and friendly. Checkin was smooth. I stayed in the single room which is spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

There is a construction site right next to the building, quite annoying but not the albergue’s fault.

The location was great, near train station, in the center of the city, a lot of restaurants, supermarket, boat to Portofino. good view from the balcony, the room was big and was cleaned every day.
