We were well located for getting all around Rome on foot as well as next to the Metro. There were restaurants, shops and grocery down the street, and there was a museum with park like grounds across the street. I had asked for a room with a view and balcony if possible, and the hotel ensured we had a nice balcony. Everything was sparkling clean and maid service and its large fresh towels daily. The staff was wonderful, always friendly and helpful with the desk lady went out of her way to make our stay there comfortable. The breakfast was far beyond expectations with a wide selection of choice hot and cold and delicious pastries. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Al Manthia.

No dislikes

We stayed in a quadruple room on the third floor, it had comfortable sleeping for a family of 2 adults and 2 grown up teenagers, all good sized beds (no sofa beds) we had an outdoor balcony and room was very clean and spacious. Excellent location for exploring Rome couldn't fault the hotel, have stayed in other hotels in the city but would reccommend this one!

Breakfast room was small and it gets very busy in the morning but food choice was good and this didnt impact on my stay at all and I would happily book this hotel stay again

Everything was amazing!! People working there were really really kind and helpfull. They helped us with all kinds of stuff every time, even at night. Room was big, clean and comfortable. With the emphasis on cleanliness, it was spotless every day. And the breakfast was delicious, with a lot of choice. And the location is great too, 10 minutes walk to Trevi fountain or Spanish stairs, very close to all kind of attractions. And 5 minutes walk to nearest metro station, which goes to the Vatican city. We will definitely go there again if we travel to Rome.

Everything was perfect.

Very good location within easy walking distance of a metro stop and most of the 'must see ' sites. (there were some steep roads close by which mobility challenged might find a bit difficult to negotiate when returning to the hotel ) Plenty of good non touristy restaurants and bars close by, frequented by locals. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for all tastes hot and cold, and good coffee. The staff worked extremely hard and successfully to get breakfast items replenished and the breakfast tables cleared. The reception staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responded very quickly to resolve some minor issues. The bedroom, I thought was a substantial size,(Rm 105) nicely presented, incredibly clean with a very comfortable bed, high quality bed linen, good toiletries and even slippers to use in the bathroom. The bathroom had a very good sized shower cubicle and plentiful hot water.

I would have liked a kettle in the room for that first 'wake up' tea or coffee. Also, I thought that it would be helpful to have a small hand rail closer to the entrance for aiding the first part of descent of stairs to reception area which is in the basement.

The breakfast was fantastic. One of the best breakfast buffets I have seen in a hotel. Not just eggs, bacon, toast and bit of fruit. Yes, selection of eggs and bacon. But, bread, buns, rolls,cheese,sliced meats,fruit, pastery. Location is right across from a museum (which I forgot the name of). It is right in the middle of the city. The room we stayed in had 2 double beds. I think this hotel has been renovated. Beautiful marble rain shower, double stink and door separating toilet! There are a few steps(6) down to lobby. I would stay there again 100%

We only stayed 1 night. So I have no complaints. The hotel exceeded our expectations. I don’t think if I stayed longer I would have complaints. All the staff were super nice.

In our eyes, the hotel is ideally located to visit all the great remains of the former times by foot, and not far from Termini train station, these are the reasons we booked Al Manthia, and we were not disappointed at all. Breakfast was great and tasty, enough diversity for everyone to find something.

Our stay at the hotel was short but nice, in the evening there was some noise from people walking in the street, but I guess this is normal for a city like Roma.

Staff is very cooperative and helpful. Had no problems in keeping my luggage safe as I came about 5 hours early and checked out late. Briefed us regarding the city and tours also. They have a 24 hour service hence you will always find someone at the reception to help out - Excellent. Wonderful breakfast with large options/ variety to select from. Not to be missed. Very centrally located especially for Spanish Steps and the main street below it. Just 5 minutes away. Trevi fountain is also close by went on foot both in the morning and night. Awesome!!!

Clearing of thrash from main lobby should be done more often. Toilet next to dining hall also requires regular cleaning.

Loved the location! The staff was great and so was the breakfast! The bathroom was great and replenished with fresh towels. The water pressure in the shower. Despite being central Rome, it was nice and quiet.

We would have liked a little table with a couple of chairs to sit at to be more comfortable when spending some time in the room at the end of a long day.

Brilliant location, near metro stop but in walking distance of Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Pantheon (all 10-15 mins), Colosseum about 20-25 mins. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants locally - room was lovely, good size for us and child. Clean and comfortable, we were on first floor so a little bit of noise from road. Breakfast was self service buffet, plenty of choice and staff kept up with demand.

Nothing, great stay would definitely return

Very nice hotel with charming helpful staff. Well positioned. Surprisingly good breakfast

The lift seemed temperamental in the mornings but this was possibly because cleaning staff were using it to move linen. We were on the 5th floor so the lift was important!
