Location was very good with walking access to many attractions such as Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and good bus access to others. For breakfast the outdoor 5th floor terrace was lovely though the breakfast was fairly basic cold fare. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift is a bit of a pain as it seems to take only one instruction at a time - i.e. if youre on floor 2 and someone has already got in on floor 4 and pressed flr1, it wont pick the person on floor 2 up!!(a minor thing for sure!!). Room was very comfortable and had tea/coffee facilities with two nice (though small) windows looking out on the street or an overgrown courtyard with trees. Easy enough to get to and overall our stay went very well. I felt the cost was high for the standard of accommodation we got, even by Rome standards but overall it is a very nice pied a terre in a great location in Rome.

One thing that aggravated a little bit was the electric points in the room where the only plug we could use had a minifridge and something else attached to it. The wiring seems to be a bit dated and I sensed a slight looseness in one or two of the sockets. Some of this was my fault as the italian socket system seems to be slightly different to other mainland europe countries ive been to and my adaptor didnt work - but I definitely think Barberini could look at some modernisation including putting in a few USBs!!

The hotel was simply amazing. We arrived early in the morning and upon arrival, the receptionist told us that our room is already ready for our check in. The staff were really sweet and helpful. Even provided us with a list of recommended restaurants to visit while in Rome. Room was very clean, nice, comfortable and had a beautiful view. Location is 10/10 as it is a few minutes walk to Trevi and also accessible by many buses and metro. I would definitely stay again at Barberini retreat hotel on my next visit to Rome.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was well-equipped with all the amenities one could need. The view from the window was a delightful bonus. Again the highlight part was the staff member, Letizia provided significant help even days before our second time’s check-in for our luggage! Chiara recommended excellent local gelato place, which was a very delightful discovery, she also supported our smooth check-out. The only problem was my vacation was not long enough to have more fun dialogue and interaction with them. The friendliness and helpfulness from the staff member were truly the highlights of our stay! A big thank you again to the entire staff for making our Rome visit special!

Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Location was convenient, close to many major attractions, metro station and taxi stand, or good dining options. Especially, the staff members provided exceptional service, making you feel welcomed and well-cared for. At our arrival, Niccolò, who was energetic and humorous, took the time to explain the free activities available during our stay, provided comprehensive information which ensured we didn't miss out on any enjoyable experiences in Rome. Buffet breakfast staff Simon were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. At our last day, Letizia helped our smooth check out, very nice and warm! I’m definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to my friends!

The room is not so big, but very cozy and comfortable, has everything you need. All the staff are very sociable and friendly, they immediately make you feel at ease. Everyone has a high level of English, which is a huge plus for me personally! It is very convenient that breakfast is included (everyone can find something to their taste), and there are many different cafes and bars nearby. The location of the hotel is also very good, many important tourist places are within walking distance. There is also a bus stop and a metro station nearby. My mother and I were very pleased and would gladly choose this hotel again!

Simone makes the best cappuccino! We traveled Italy for weeks and his was on par with any bar/cafe and was far better than any of the other hotels. Plus he is gracious, kind and chill for first thing in the morning. Rooftop sunshine is abundant. The front desk staff were helpful and gave 5 star service. From where to get a gelato to holding a bag for us - they were reliable and a pleasure. I unfortunately didn’t get all of their names but Chiara checked us in and another woman was always there and very helpful (she likes Wilco the band) so thank you to her!

I picked this hotel based on the existing reviews and I was not disappointed. Everything was truly lovely. Location - I had no idea where to stay in Rome as a first-timer, but Trevi ended up being a perfect neighborhood. Easy to walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, etc. There's also a taxi stand a block away at Barberini Square and there are trains, too. The best part is there are MANY highly-rated restaurants nearby. I ate well every single night for four nights and didn't go beyond a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Felt very safe walking as a solo female as well. Staff - Letizia, Niccolo, and every single staff member I interacted with could not have been more friendly and helpful. They made great local recommendations and ensured that my stay was comfortable. I looked forward to chatting with them on my way in and out. Perks - Breakfast was served from 730-11am every day on the rooftop and that was so nice. The wait staff was friendly and the offerings (mostly pastries and fruit) were a great way to kickstart the day. Although I didn't get to participate, I LOVED that they partner with their sister hotels to offer at least three FREE unique experiences (photo walks, yoga, gelato run, happy hour, etc.) every single day. No other place I saw offered that. Rooms and Facility - the hotel looks modern and is painted nicely. My room was spacious and everything was very clean around the entire building. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that sometimes the elevator took a long time to come, but that's minor and it's six floors total, so walkable if need be. Overall, I'm so glad I chose Barberini and I would stay there again!

Incredibly clean , bedding towels etc good quality .Stayed in room entitled small double but bed was large and plenty of room .Bathroom a good size and well stocked .Each floor had additional communal space to sit at a table .Breakfast served on a roof terrace well protected and heater( as stated in Feb) ! Good selection of food to eat and could have as much as wanted .Staff friendly and helpful ! Location. Excellent ..could walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colosseum easily .Will definitely stay again !

Loved the location! Near the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain. We walked to these and many other sites. And the staff were all awesome, very friendly and kind, helpful. Rooms are small and basic but adequate. Property is remodeled.

Elevator system is a little weird, and it was slow. But it’s an old building. Breakfast was served on the top floor and required a walk up the final flight of stairs. Might be an issue for those with mobility issues.

Amazing, unique accommodation in the heart of Rome! The rooms were very clean and spacious with a chic and modern interior design. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The best thing was the staff- everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend. 10/10! Grazie mille. Hope to see you again. :-)
