The hotel was secure with two keypad doors to enter the foyer and then key locked door to the room. Rooms were large, bright and clean. Good standard of facilities, water and coffee/tea available and replaced daily although there was no milk but we didn’t ask so may of been. Best of all was the location. Less than five minutes walk to the Pantheon; Vatican, forum, colosseum, Trevi fountain and piazza Navona all within thirty minutes steady walk made this a brilliant place for sight seeing. Plenty of shops and eating places right outside the front door so no worries about long hikes for evening meals. Would strongly recommend.

No lift would maybe rule this location out for elderly or others with mobility issues. The rooms are on the second floor and even with a stair lift fitted for first set of stairs it may be out of reach for some.

Location most of all..room was a good size, nice bathroom, comfy bed(mine)

The bed situation was different than was planned, friend had to sleep on a cot, no elevator,no breakfast

Charme & Chic is perfectly located in the heart of Rome, enabling you to walk almost everywhere to visit the notable ancient sites. It's is about 200 metres to The Pantheon and surrounded by numerous restaurants, osteria's trattoria's, cafes, and gelato premises. There are numerous other delightful small high-quality shops, and the bus routes run nearby for getting further across Rome. We were able to self check-in and also had someone to assist on site during the day. The apartments have air-conditioning and are a comfortable size for staying in. We were out most of the time, but because it was so central, it was great to be able to pop back and drop something off or have a rest before dining out in the evening. There's no lift in this older building, so consider the size of your luggage and your physical capabilities because you need to carry your bags up two flights of marble stairs to the main foyer of the apartments. We were grateful to be able to leave our luggage safely stored on the day of our departure until 5.00pm while we explored more of Romes' fabulous sites before heading to the airport for a late departure. We had a very nice meal at the restaurant directly below us, Maxelâ La Maddalena - Roma and they were serving a notably local business community of well-dressed Italians. The fettuccine carbonara I had was the best I had while in Italy for two weeks. One of Romes most popular foccacia sandwich shops is also in the same Piazza della Maddalena 50 metres from the entrance. There's an extremely popular Gelateria Della Palma just 20 metres up the lane, but the best coffee and croissants we had in Rome was a couple of blocks over at Caffetteria al Parlamento, which is opposite the Italian parliament. It's worth the 5 minute walk in my opinion and is well frequented by the locals.

The door lock system.can be confusing on first entry, but we did master this after a few minutes. The staff were helpful, but this was guided by WhatsApp instructions. We had a couple of new neighbour's check in while we were there and helped them with their initial door entry challenges, too. Don't let it put you off. Once you get it, you're fine. The location is worth it in our opinion.

The apartment is located in a great area near Pantheon and with walking distance to great restaurants and shops a very safe area to walk around in the evening, be sure to find the church located nearby the Pantheon (Stunning). Access to transport was also convenient. The host provided clear communication on how to access the apartment. The apartment was exceptional, we would have loved to stay longer and will definately stay here again. There are stairs up to the apartment although this didn't bother us. The apartment was air-conditioned which was such a blessing in the summer.

Be very wary of the taxi's for traveling, best to walk if you can, take a bus or train.

We stayed last week of September. Excellent location near the Pantheon and walking distance to most landmarks. The famous Al antico Vinaio known for the worlds best sandwiches is a few steps away. The room is beautiful comfortable. There are quite a few steps up to the room but not too bad. Initially the lock/key system was a bit confusing, other guests ended up helping us. Once you’ve worked it out it’s ok. Good staff communication via what’s app. Nice to have the choice of having a coffee in your room. We would definitely go back.

Bright, large, clean room in the perfect location to experience Rome. The bathroom was modern and the beds were very comfortable. The security system and door locks made us feel very safe.

The stairs are difficult to get large luggage up and down, but Armin was there and helped us get our bags up. The safe wasn’t working properly and the fridge wasn’t very cold, but these were minor issues.

The location was excellent, it has free WiFi and Netflix with English programs to watch! The room was really clean and large and nicely decorated, the bed was really comfy! The locking system is good however difficult to short the middle door and could be loud on shutting.

It advertises as sound proof, and this was good in terms of you couldn’t hear the noise from the street however in the little communal area it was noisy at times and definitely not sound proof.

All of it! From the reception area and the friendly receptionists, to our bedroom decor and bathroom utilities. I will definitely be staying here again, and recommending this to friends or family. When we used all of our coffee pods, the receptionist immediately gave us more. Check-in and checkout were smooth and fast. The housekeeper asked us personally if we wanted our room to be cleaned, and even chatted with us about our home country. We even managed to watch a movie Saturday evening, on the TV in our room, free of charge. It was a truly pleasant stay, and made our time in Rome even more lovely. Well done 😊👏🏽

Staff was awesome. My wife and I arrived by taxi with a ton of luggage for 2 1/2 month stay in Italy. Staff carried all our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The location of the property is terrific. A minute's walk from the Pantheon and restaurants galore.

We are elderly and my wife had problems, even without luggage, with the 2 story climb. Breakfast was a chit at one of the cafes in the Pantheon piazza and got you a coffee and pastry but in Rome that made it worth about 10 euros. I'd have preferred an on site breakfast
