The courtyard was superb. It made up for any negative views I have. The breakfast price was so reasonable that I had to convince the breakfast staff it was fine for me just to have (many cups of) tea and no food.

The bar closing at 8.30pm. It would have been nice to enjoy a nightcap when returning later to the hotel. The bathroom looked tired - plastic mountings around the shower looked grubby because of age but was actually very clean. I understand from other comments that room renovations are being carried out. Maybe my room should go higher up the list.

I was a bit skeptical about this place after reading some reviews. After spending one week at Hotel Medici, I can only advise to ignore the negative comments. The hotel is beautiful, great location, tastefully decorated and the elevator is a work of art. The mattress is one of the best I've ever tried, slept like a baby. The rooms are extremely clean. As for the size- I booked a single room. Despite some comments, I found the size of the room to be more than appropriate. Same applies for the shower - it even has a small "bench" inside. As a bigger than average person, I fit in comfortably. The room has everything you might need, from extra pillows to a mini bar. Wi-Fi works perfectly. Now, the staff - absolutely lovely people (and the cleaning lady is the sweetest). I get that some people might expect more chit-chat and smiles. The staff at Medici is different, in the best way possible. They are polite, without being intrusive. They stay out of your way unless prompted to help, in which case you are met with a smile and a fast resolution. I found the staff to be not only amazing, but very "in tune" with the hotel. They have a quiet elegance and dignity, almost like in a period movie. Last - location. You must try the pasticeria on the right of the hotel. Thank me later. There are some good restaurants, one right across from the hotel. Train station is close, and there are like 3 supermarkets in a 5 minute walking distance. For Rome standards, the major tourist attractions are close - I walked all the way to Vatican and back, which is the farthest away. Make sure to visit Villa Borguese, it's super close and the attached parc is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. Big thank you to Hotel Medici for an amazing stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful when approached. Hotel is in a pretty street with shutters on the windows, with an old-style lift etc which was lovely. The location was great...walked to Trevi, Spanish Steps (about 15 mins) and Colloseum (about 30). Walked back from Vatican too (just under an hour so fine with a break for lunch on the way). Had a triple room for myself and two teens. Everything was clean and working. It was really convenient to have the breakfast there before heading out, which we thought had a good range of options served in a pleasant room. Overall it was a great stay at Hotel Medici and would recommend it to others.

It's an old building so you could hear the people in neighbouring rooms, but I think this would probably be common to most older buildings.

The staff were helpful and the hotel has a lot of character and an interesting vibe. It is in a good location for walking to many famous places within about 25 to 30 minutes. Eg Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps. The staff were very kind and persisted in getting us a taxi for the airport which was quite difficult.

It was hard for the lovely man doing the buffet breakfast because of a lack of resources. I could see how hard he was working, but the hotel owner should invest some more money into things like more pieces of cutlery so he isn't rushing to try wash them, and perhaps making sure there is enough condiments like honey.

I was only in Rome for two nights and it did the trick. I don't know if I would stay here again or, if I had to, for more than a long weekend though. The staff was kind enough (albeit a little condescending at times) (and not just to me but with other guests as well). The lift, patio, air conditioning, and on-site breakfasts are nice amenities but the photos don't totally do it justice; everything is a little darker, tighter, and grittier it appears. The WiFi was fast and reliable if you're a WFH'er. The location is probably the biggest value add, to be honest. You're a few minutes walk from nearly everything you want to see.

You have to leave your key at the front desk, whenever you leave the property. This isn't uncommon in older hotels but it's a little unsettling when you're not used to it or expecting it. Electronic locks would be nice.

Stayed in a family room, spacious and clean. Housekeeping came every day. Done a great job. Toiletries supplied and fridge with drinks in nice touch. Breakfast available for 10e if not booked it. It was like continental, croissants,cereal,toast juice etc. staff lovely. Fabio on reception most helpful and friendly. Real asset to the place. Location was ok, 20 mins walk to Trevi about 10 to bus station.

Only downside was there are no kettles in rooms had to buy one.

We loved it here. We would definitely stay here again. It was comfortable, the staff were great and very accommodating. Walking distance to everything. We were able to leave our baggage before check in and after checking out as we continued our trip in Rome.

Not complaining, breakfast is continental and as long as you know you’re getting that, that’s fine. I knew it anyway. But some may expect more, just saying.

The room was as described. Small, with desk and chair, room for the luggage, small cupboard with safety deposit box. Clean. Comfortable beds, even though we requested a double bed, there were two beds connected to a double. Was air-conditioned and had central heating. Small fridge. Central location in a safe area. Next to amenities (super market, restaurants, pharmacy etc)

The shower was exceptionally small. The room even though was thoroughly cleaned the wear and tear was visible. Needs a bit of renovation, a coat of paint. Nothing that will prevent you from staying

The reception of the hotel was amazing, it gave you a warm and comfortable feel. Staff were were kind accommodating and very helpful at any time of the day. Thankfully, there was an elevator to use for luggage and for transferring floors. The room looked nothing like the pictures, but we thought that it was better than them anyway. The room was extremely warm 24/7. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a lot of space to store your luggage and other things. There was a lot of hot water. We got clean towels everyday along with unlimited shampoo refills and toilet paper. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The shower cabin was also very large. The hotel is located near two metro stations, Barberini and Repiblicca and there are 2 bus stations right outside the hotel.

Overall the hotel was great, but there were a few flaws. For us it was far away from all basic Rome sights, which was very hard for us to return at night after walking over 25km daily, which meant that we had to take a taxi back. Also, getting out of the shower was a bit scary because there was a very big step you had to walk down, which meant that we had to be careful since if you slip and fall you can get seriously hurt.

Great location, near to every part of the city you need to visit and glad we could walk everywhere as the public transport was not as realizable! Great bathroom and bed comfortable. Staff were friendly Could leave bags after check out Arrived late after plane delayed reception is open 24-7, we were lucky 🍀!

Breakfast, regretted so much to pay for it at booking, coffee machine was broke for two days and I can’t function without a coffee 🤣 choice for breakfast was really poor, my kids went once and did not want to have breakfast there again. everyday but it was same. There is 2 places nearby where you can have breakfast. Recommend the 50 kpizza also near by was delicious! Bed clothes and carpets could do with a small remodeling to make it more modern.
