The facility appears to be newly remodeled. The room is clean and pleasing. Excellent location, only a very short walk to Roma Termini, with supermarkets and restaurants right below. The double pane windows provide pretty good soundproof. When we made the reservation, we put 8-9 p.m. as our estimated check-in time, but a last minute travel plan change got us there 9 hours early at around 11:30 a.m.. No one was at the desk, but the nice lady came very quickly after we called, and she let us check in!

The door lock uses a physical key (not a key card,) and there's only one key for the three of us. The worse thing is that, even from inside, you need to use the key to lock, and to unlock! This could be a safety hazard during an emergency, although you can mitigate the risk by leaving the key inserted after locking from inside.

Location was fab! About a 5 minute walk from the train station (we got the train from the airport so easy and was at hotel within half an hour!) and then 20 or so minutes in to Rome itself. The lady checking us in was so lovely, couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy and looked after, giving guidance of where to start and get the mort out of our trip. Room was lovely and clean, super comfy, a little small for 3 but no problem even with a big 15 year old lad in tow! Free to come and go as we pleased once checked in! Lovely food around too if you want to stay close to your room at night.

People said the area wasn’t the best- we had no issues, even went out at 5am with my son to see the sights. No view from our room, not a massive biggy for us though for a 2 night stay- Rome was at our fingertips!

Great location. Air con was fabulous. Rooms were clean and maid came every day.

We stayed at the Hotel Orbis as a family of 4 (children of 12 and 10) for one night before catching the train to the cruise port and boarding our cruise. The hotel staff were so accommodating, we arrived at 11am and check in wasnt until 2pm but they kept our luggage and let us use the toilets etc whilst they got our room ready for check in - we went for a lovely lunch just across the road (Binario 37) which had the most amazing pizza, drinks and music and was extremely reasonable cost wise! We went back to the hotel and the staff had kindly put our luggage in our room which was pristine, clean, and perfect for what we needed. When we booked I thought we had no breakfast included but a nice touch and surprise when we were told we could have breakfast free of charge at a hotel a few doors away- perfect! I would highly recommend the Hotel Orbis for the convenient location (3 min walk from Roma Termini train station), helpful and friendly staff, and clean and tidy accomodation at a very reasonable price too! Location was excellent close to the station and near to some good restaurants. Room was spotless and included air conditioning, a kettle with tea and coffee and a fridge which was great in temperatures rising to the 30 degrees plus. Breakfast at the nearby sister hotel was super friendly and decent for a continental choice.

On arrival the one staff member on duty was decidedly grumpy. We had pre advised an arrival time between 8/9pm but it still took nearly five minutes for a sleepy looking man to appear at reception from a nearby bedroom once we had buzzed and found our own way up to the first floor. Check in was functional rather than friendly and we certainly to weren’t made to feel particularly welcome. The lady the next morning was slightly better. Also we found the Bed was rock hard and we didn’t get much sleep.

The hotel is very close to the station, but then obviously you need to walk further to the sights. Walking is easier, the traffic is quite bad. The rooms were bigger and better than expected, all quite new. We were not expecting a breakfast but we were told to go next door where one was provided. Simple coffee, juice, croissant, rolls ham and cheese, perfectly adequate and the staff here were much more friendly. A key safe is provided and there are three doors to go through to get to reception.

Check in was efficient but not the most pleasant we have had. They provide a kettle and tea bags, but NO coffee, sugar or milk, so a bit pointless. When I asked for some milk, I was told you can have it at breakfast, no other explanation, again not a pleasant reaction. Take some ear plugs if you want a lay in as the staff arriving at 07.30 greet each other loudly.

Really nice room for a family of four. Enough space for all of us with a big closet for wardrobe and a fridge to keep our food and drinks. In addition there was a free tea in the room. Room was cleaned every day. We were offered a free breakfast that was in another object, maybe 20 meters down the street. Staff was polite and we had no problems in communication. Great value for money! All public transportation methods are in the vicinity (tram, bus, train, subway).

Greatl location, 3 minute walk from termini and a 5 min walk to Santa Marja Majiore. Check in was till midnight which was perfect for a late flight , the front desk was open till 9 and they sent us after-hours check in information just in case. We stayed in Suite A which was perfect for 3 people. The rooms were clean and spacious, there's was AC , blowdryer, coffee, a private bathroom and a shared bathroom available , there was also a breakfast option. If you need somewhere to stay for the night after a late flight this is perfect.

It is a very small and cute hotel in between many hotels. It is extremely clean and looks very new! We found out it had just been remodeled a year ago. My mom and I stayed for 3 nights and will be staying there again on our way back to the states. There is excellent air conditioning and an elevator so you don’t have to carry your bags. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It is two short blocks from Roma Termini so it was easy to take our train to Florence. It was the most comfortable place we have stayed at in our 10 day trip in Italy! Definitely recommend!

The shower is on the smaller, but it worked! Nothing really to complain about, we liked it all!

Position near station was perfect for travelling. Some restaurants in the street as well. Room was clean and had enough space. We had the suite and it was actually 2 seperate rooms with our own bedroom. Great airco in 37 degrees. Breakfast in hotel down the road. Very friendly staff.

Did not like the area after midnight, felt unsafe.
