Matisse Royal is situated right in the heart of Rome, offering us easy access to all the significant sights and delights the city has to offer. Moreover, despite its centrality, the accommodation manages to maintain a serene and tranquil atmosphere, making it a perfect sanctuary amidst the city buzz. The place itself radiates a sense of cleanliness and orderliness that immediately puts you at ease. It was immaculate, from the spotless linens to the gleaming bathrooms, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The rooms, although initially small, were incredibly comfortable, providing every necessity in a compact and cozy space. However, what stood out the most during our stay was the unanticipated surprise from the owner. Despite booking an economy room, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a larger one, a gesture that was not required but highly appreciated. This act of kindness really spoke volumes about the dedication of Matisse Royal to provide exceptional customer service. The team's warmth, generosity, and their sincere passion for hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Would we recommend the Matisse Royal in Rome? Without a shadow of a doubt, yes!

The owner is such a nice guy and really went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a good one. The location is great, right in the middle of the city and felt extremely safe- which is a big concern for me as we are two girls in our 20s. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Rome and recommend it for anyone looking!

Great location. Walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. (Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc) Nice cafes on Vie Fierenze for breakfast (Rosemary Terra e Sappori), around the corner from Matisse Royale. Great selection of gluten free options in most restaurants. You can get a bus to the Vatican on this road also Vie Nazionale. There is a bus stop near the hotel. Very near the main train station too. 10min walk. Very quiet and very secure. Great selection of restaurants in the street Via del Boschetto. Best gluten free pizza ever tasted in Cimara4. Very near hotel. Loved our trip to Rome.,

Everything about the stay was great. The location was perfect. My wife and I came in on a train and was able to explore everything we wanted to see on foot from this location for 5 days. Would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic location. 10 minutes from Termini station and within walking distance of pretty much everything. Property is located in a Palazzo behind large doors and is really quiet and peaceful despite being off a busy street. Very secure and a comfortable room. Tea, coffee etc available in reception.

Not easy to find. Instructions need to be clearer. Air conditioning was a bit hit and miss.

My wife and I really liked the apartment, it matches the photos perfectly - very beautiful. It is located in the very center next to Trevi station. There are always croissants at the reception and you can make yourself tea or coffee. It is possible to use the shared refrigerator if necessary.

We felt very comfortable in the hotel. There are many hotels in Rome that make it difficult to choose, but this hotel was perfect. You are greeted in a friendly manner and we particularly liked the Rome “sightseeing tips” that we received directly. Rooms are beautifully furnished and are cleaned daily. We also think the location is great because there is a great ice cream parlor, nice restaurants nearby and almost all the sights are within walking distance. We will be back!

Everything was exceptional and room was very clean

Matisse is a guesthouse in the best location. Close to tour buses, trains, restaurants and shops. It is situated on an inner court, so it is super quiet. The room and the reception area are very clean, and they clearly pride themselves on cleanliness. Air conditioning in the room was very quiet and worked perfectly as we could set at our desired temperature.

There is not much to complain about. Just so folks aren't confused, this is a guesthouse. I'm not sure why it is called "B&B" as there is no breakfast or food on site. Nothing really to complain about.
