We arrived late and Pema kept in touch with us about our arrival time and was waiting to welcome us. The staff were all super friendly and gave us lots of tips about where to eat etc. Sara was lovely and told us great walking route recommendations. We thought the B&B was great value.....the room was spacious and it only took about 10 minutes to walk to the colloseum and the same to the station so the location was perfect. Breakfast was fine...good coffee, pastries and fruit which set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend.

I had an incredible stay at this place! The room and private bathroom were spotless, with daily cleaning and fresh towels provided every day. The breakfast was a delightful way to start the day, featuring delicious croissants, coffee, fresh fruits, jams, and Nutella. Their cappuccino is a must-try—simply amazing and included in the breakfast! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. One of the co-hosts even shared a list of local recommendations, which was really helpful. The cleaning staff was polite, quiet, and very organized, always greeting us with a smile. We were also pleasantly surprised by a thoughtful gift of wine and snacks, which made our stay even more special. A special mention goes to Sara, who made our mornings extra special with her warm and friendly conversations. It felt like chatting with someone you’ve known for years—a true example of heartfelt hospitality. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. If you prefer, the subway is also very close by. The building itself has a charming, traditional elevator that adds to the authentic experience. I highly recommend staying here if you want a comfortable, welcoming, and conveniently located place to explore the city. I can’t wait to come back!

Honestly, there’s nothing I can really mention. The only thing was having to leave because our vacation came to an end. It was so hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful experience.

The location of Merulana Suites was absolutely spot on – just a short walk from Roma Termini and literally within walking distance of the Colosseum and other major landmarks. It made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable! What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the host. Super friendly and welcoming, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Not only did they offer valuable advice about local restaurants and points of interest, but they really made us feel like we were staying with a friend rather than just at a hotel. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a warm, convenient, and comfortable stay in Rome!

The extra little things to make your stay hassle free and comfortable. Tooth brush, slippers and shampoo. Small details that were a nice touch 👌 The staffs guide advice of beautiful view points and not so known things to do (places that turned out to be more impressive than the regular tourist spots). The location of the apartment meant everything was walkable for us which was fantastic. The hosts were very accommodating if we needed anything. We loved it and will be telling all our family and friends if they go to Rome to stay here.

We stayed 5 nights here and was very happy with our choice. Pietro was the best host; friendly, cheerful and the most helpful person. He whatsapp us tips on where to eat and other information of areas that we were interested in. Breakfast was more than sufficient with croissant/buns, yoghurt and lots of fruit with some biscuits. We also got a fresh cup of our choice of coffee made by Pietro. The only negative we faced was that breakfast only started from 8am as we like doing all our visits early. However, when Pietro found that out, he quickly packed us the pastries and fruit for us to carry to our 9.30am Vatican tour. On the Sunday, when he was not available he gave us a voucher to use at a nearby patisserie which worked perfectly for us as we had our Colosseum tour at 8.30am. Not sure what time the patisserie opens but by 7.30am it was already doing brisk business. We asked Pietro if we could have a voucher for the day we checked out as we were leaving early and he gladly obliged as he had a spare voucher still available. Merulana Suite 2 is well located; in-between Roma Termini and Colosseum about a 10min walk either way. We found the location convenient and walked everywhere except to the Vatican, Castel Sant Angelo and Trastevere. Our air conditioned room was comfortable and came with a fridge, safe and kettle. Quality toiletries, a hair dryer and disposable slippers were also provided. We were also given a complimentary small bottle of wine and some snacks. Free wifi is also available. Pietro also informed us that we could make instant coffee/tea anytime we liked from the kitchen that is shared between the 3 rooms. We would gladly stay here again the next time we visit Rome!

(On a side note, we had trouble sending messages via booking.com's website or through the emails we received but resolved the matter then by sending messages direct to Pietro's whatsapp number)

Pietro is an amazing host. We stayed in Merulana Suite for our holiday and Pietro was very helpful and kind. He suggested us some local favorite restaurants which was very good. The suite was super clean. We couldnt enjoy breakfast because we left very early in the morning to enjoy the city becore gets hot during the day. But, breakfast looks also very good. Pietro even thought to give us tickets for a nearest bakery because he wasnt available for Sunday breakfast. If we come Rome again, we have a place to stay without hesitation. Thanks again for this amazing stay, I highly recommend Merulana Suite to everyone.

Nothing, everthing was more than perfect.

Pietro, Eliza and Sarah were very welcoming! They helped us with directions to certain places we wanted to visit, gave us some really good recommendations for restaurants and gelaterias. One time we had to leave without sitting and eating breakfast, and Pietro packed us some pastries for us in a paper bag to take with us! A genuine 10/10, they deserve all the praise. If you are a couple, this is one of the best places to pick for your stay

Honestly, nothing comes to mind, clean, welcoming, helpful and a delight to be around.

The location is great! Not too far from the main centre and close to the train station. Very short walk to the Colosseum! The breakfast included was tasty and had a variety of options to suit your needs. Staff are also very friendly and are happy to help you and answer any questions. Amenities are clean and in good condition and the elevator is useful to get bags up and down the stairs (and very quaint).

Only small issues are the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear people coming and going, and the mattress was quite firm (but not uncomfortable).

Location and Staff were amazing, I would rate even lower, if the Staff was not that great. They are really helpful and make you feel like at “home” or “dorm”. In the morning you felt like your mum is doing something in the kitchen, which brings me to the next points.

If you book this property it is mainly for value for money, meaning you do not seek luxury but something in a good location and solid sleep. Unfortunately, the doors and walls are so thin you can hear everything. There are 3 rooms in the apartment and one common kitchen area where breakfast is served 8-10. If there is a late check in (which happened 3x after midnight and then people walking around, slamming doors, taking showers etc.) and then you hear everything that happens in the kitchen from 8am, you do not get a good sleep at all.

To begin with Pietro the owner is a one of a kind human being,he is bubbly and joyful person.Before we even arrived at the property we had a personal message from him with tips where to go as attractions and where to eat..The property is very clean and welcoming.When we had some personal question we sent him a personal message and within minutes he responded.Even we arrived very early from the check,but he let us into the property and gave us the room to leave the luggages there and freshen up,and when we went he continued to freshen up the room,even he greated us with a bottle of wine..after our stay we had our flight late in the evening,and for Pietro was not a problem to leave our luggage at the property ..he even gave us the keys to the apartment.And now the location is perfection if you want to tour around Rome.All I have to stay that this was a pleasent stay,and Pietro and his team are all a GEM..Will definitely stay again...
